Had an appt for noon & was seen asap (a couple of walking took longer than anticipated). Apologized for the wait (really? For like 5 min?!? Nice) I had gone in because when I changed my phone, I plan I got upgrade envy. I have an iPhone SE and really wanted to go for the eight. I knew they didn't have the one I wanted in stock from the website. The rep helping me double checked at the back for me, so when he didn't have exactly what I wanted he brought out the three next best options. (same model with fewer GB, and next two tiers up) The next two levels up are really too large for my hand (I don't know any women that have a plus), & I explained that I really did need more GB. I was planning on doing the trade-in, so we went over a couple of options. Either ordering it with him and having it sent to the store, bringing my trade-in to have it wiped and exchanging; ordering it myself online and still swapping at the store; ordering it myself online, using the insurance I had forgotten I had, and letting the rep on the phone talk me through wiping it. Although he works on commission, James told me that his area was piloting new software, and for some reason it would not allow him to only have me pay the $130+/- both the website and the app showed I would have to pay. Through the system I would've had to pay closer to $200. He also pointed out that I would be eligible for the free upgrade in just eight months. So he was recommending either waiting to get it for free or doing it through the website myself. Neither of which could possibly get him any kind of commission. (he didn't say that part, but I've worked sales for commission) i'm debating waiting the eight months, but I'm taking his $70 worth of advice and making the purchase online if I do it in advance. Since the 8 is larger & I knew a lot of my Quitman it would no longer work, I did ask him to spend some time going over cases and dashboard mount for a classy person with me. When I had to in my hand and was talking about another, he let me know that he could do A discount for getting three or more accessories. Save me about $20 with that. They were all things that I would've purchased anyway, but this way I had an expert help me pick it out and I got the discount. If I opt to go in the store, I am definitely going back and hoping I will get James (Carpenter) again. He was very straightforward and very patient with my millions of questions. read more

The service here is horrible. I highly recommend you don't go there. I was in the store for almost 5 minutes and I still wasn't greeted by any staff member. Everyone seems to be in their own little world. They prefer that you go talk to a kiosk or do all of your business with a computer so when you go to do your business with a computer, the computer or the kiosk cannot take cash. Which was the purpose of my whole visit ! Moreover, the selection of phones that they have aren't very many they're sold out of most of them so you only end up getting what they have as opposed to what you want because that's all they have available. The value is really poor because they won't even put a person in there to greet/advise you so if you wanna go to a store in sit there and not even be recognized for 10 or 15 minutes and this is the place for you! if you're busy and you need to get things done, I might look at a different AT&T store and to be honest with you after dealing with AT&T I might try T-mobile because T-mobile seem to be more friendly to the customer and they really act concerned about you. I switched to AT&T in April and when I did (with my 6 lines), I had an offer to get the a wireless internet for $40 per month (5G access basically). I could not get Fiber, so I thought I would use it until Fiber became available. In August, the City of Ocala ran Fiber to my neighborhood, so I signed up for it and cancelled the AT&T internet and when I called to cancel, I was given a UPS label to put on the box to send the modem back. I sent it back and then was charged over $200 for rental of this box for the remainder of 2 years that I had signed for - I was told I was renting the modem, but not that I had to keep paying on it forever. I contacted AT&T multiple times - at first, I could not find the tracking of the return, so I could not get any satisfaction. Then I found it and called the LOYALTY department, figuring everything was going to be OK now. Wrong! This guy did not care that I returned it. I said that if I have to pay for it, why did you have me send it back? And if I have to pay for it, send it back to me so I can sell it to somebody. He refused. As soon as my obligations for the phones are up, I am out of there! Pretty sad public relations! read more

Do not trust At&t. My daughter and I went to the store in Ocala, Florida off of College Rd a couple of months ago to upgrade our phones. We were greeted by Artez, an employee of the store. We had iphone 15 and were looking into the iphone 16. Artez and the other staff members were left with no management and they were all new employees. We still felt we were in good hands. We were told by Artez that our phone bill would not change and at the time it was $221 per month. He flat out said we would get full credit of $1,000 each for our phones as we were trading them in. Well after all the credits were applied our phone bill is now $262.00 per month. Called to find out why and Artez did not give us correct information. We were told 100% trade in values and the warehouse gave us $300 each. These phones were about a year old in mint condition. Phones were not paid off, but we were assured we would be given the $1000 each on the phones. Come to find out now Artez submitted a contract we didn't agree to. The contract he was supposed to submit was not sent in and he submitted something totally different to At&T. We have been arguing with customer service since day one and the store manager at that location told me Artez, the manger, and all staff were let go. Artez now works at the Maricamp location so that's another lie. All AT&T does it lie to customers. Do not trust them! Not to mention a simple trade in should not have taken 3 hours to do! Very unprofessional and I do not like people who lie right to my face. Now we are stuck with these high bills due to lack of training and a manger who left new employees alone and went on vacation. Nothing we can do as we signed a contract on an ipad, but we didn't know we were signing a different contract. Never again will I trust At&T. No wonder why it's all over social media to watch your bills with them. read more

Beware if you are seeking a refund. Don't count on it. AT&T will not issue me refunds after the account was canceled in 2021. They continued to make automatic withdrawals from my account. I called them 1/4/2024 after discovering the withdrawals. Fortunately, I had the receipt for when I returned the equipment. I was told I did not cancel my account. Question to them: How would I know where to return the equipment, and why would I continue my account if I no longer had a way to watch? A representative was very helpful in filing a dispute citing service rep error in cancellation. Then, on 1/18/2024, there was another automatic withdrawal of $210.40. I called 1/30/2024 to inquire about the outcome of my claim and recent withdrawal on 1/18/2024. I was told my account showed it was canceled on 1/5/2024, and it's too late for me to get this refund. I was told that after being transferred to various departments, I would need to contact my bank and have them do a fraudulent claim for all withdrawals, including the most recent. I called back the following day to ask about the dates of withdrawals from 1/2022 and 2021. I could access most of the information from my bank account but wanted clarification that I could not access from my AT&T account. I was told they do not have that information. I have been paying my AT&T Bill via my banks electronic payment option. Up to Oct. 2019 I normally pay on the due date and AT&T receives it on the same day. But Oct. 2019 I sent it on the due date (10/18) and AT&T claims it did not receive it till the 21st. Of course a late payment was added to my Bill. After an hour and a half on the phone, I finally got an answer from a supervisor: ALL ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS are being held 3 days upon receiving them. This was not told to me and I am sure it was not told to anyone else. SO CHECK your bill, make sure your payments are getting in on time! read more

If you noticed, the previous reviews are a bit old and I doubt the customer service reps even work there anymore. I came into this store at 6p and it was a little busy but there was a representative available name RAPHAEL. He didn't come to us, we had to get his attention. The Hotspot we bought about 2 years ago was malfunctioning and we asked for his advice. Long story short, he was unapologetic for his arrogance and basically said pay the $158 for a new one and this time be smart and get insurance on it for the extra cost although that's a 50/50 if we'll do anything because people are stupid when taking care of things (insult thrown at us). Outright fraud or just incompetence: My wife and I received pre-order offers for the new Samsung s10+ smartphones on our emails. That offer included free bluetooth earbuds and a $150 trade-in allowance for our used Samsung S7's. Having been an AT&T customer for over 15 years we elected to go down to the local AT&T store and see if they would match that offer. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a sale representative, I explained the offer from Samsung and without hesitation he stated "Oh yes, we can do that here as well". Great we thought, this would save time and we could make sure our order was correct and the proper cost were applied so we pre-ordered two new s10+ phones. The sale representative had us remove the screen protectors and take the phone out of the cases so that he could inspect them, they were in perfect condition. He stated that we would receive a label when our new phones arrived in order to return our old phones for the $150 trade-in allowance for each of our two s7's. Fast forward two weeks, the new phones arrived however there was no return label. We took the old phones down to the local AT&T store to find out what we needed to do at this point. The sale rep at this time told us that they would take the phones in and we would receive a $50 trade-in allowance for each phone. We explained that we were promised $150 for each phone, the rep stated that we ordered our phones on the 22nd of February and the $150 offer ended on the 20th of Feb. We asked for the manager who stated that the sales rep that took our information for the pre-order may not have known that the offer had ended and there was nothing they could do. The manager told us to contact Samsung and see what they could do. Of course this was complete BS but we contacted Samsung anyway, they said we would have to go through AT&T for any trade-in rebate since that is who we placed the order through. By this time we had spent collectively about 3 hours on the phone and in the store with one rep or another and were getting no where. I called AT&T customer service and spoke to Ella who could barely speak English, she basically said there was nothing they would do and when I tried to explained that the mistake was by AT&T and not us she rudely began to talk over me and would not shut up. It was like talking to Bon QUI QUI, very unprofessional, I wasn't surprised at this point. Warning, if you dare do business with AT&T don't take their word for anything, it is the classic bate and switch, make sure everything is in writing and I mean everything. If they can do this to a customer of 15+ years just imagine what they will do to you. read more

I have been having problems with my AT&T landline for a couple of months. Everytime I call AT&T they tell me that they cannot look my account up without the phone number. Unfortunately they never gave me the phone number so it's impossible for me to give it back to them. They also stated that they could not look my phone number up by the address. After speaking with several people for several hours in several different countries I decided to come to the AT&T store to see if I could get some help. I walked in and was immediately approached by the manager Steve who signed me up on the waiting list. A couple of minutes later Marco came over and tried to assist me but he was unable to. Steve came back over and personally took care of my problem to the point where he called AT&T himself and got me in touch with a customer service rep in the United States. Once I was able to reach somebody who spoke English we were able to resolve the issue and restore my home phone and internet service. I would like to thank Steve and Marco for going out of their way to assist me even though I am not an AT&T wireless customer. This is the type of customer service that I remember from AT&T when I was younger and they had actual customer service. The corporate office would do well to follow the example set by the employees of this AT&T store. read more
