I worked with Lisa to purchase a iPad. I mistakenly forgot to add that I wanted cellular. I went back and they tried to fix the issue but the system wouldn't allow it. I was told to try customer service which did nothing. I went back into the store and spoke with Lisa about my issue again and she got Matt the store manager involved. Not only was he able to fix my issue but helped me get exactly what I needed. The customer service given to me was phenomenal with Matt. I've had a few curbside pickups with no issues. My recent experience was with Geek Squad. They recommend appointments, but also accept walk-ins, with appointments taking priority. I dropped off my laptop for a warranty repair on the weekend. It wasn't shipped to the service center until I contacted customer support, who then emailed the store to create a shipping label. The service center repaired and returned it quickly, but they don't provide return tracking information. Also, it seems impossible to call the store and speak to someone unless you know the extension. read more

I purchased a new car. Best Buy was supposed to transfer my $500 VanTru dashcam from my old car to the new car. Total disaster!! Old car had 3 cameras. Front, cabin and rear. When I got my car there were only 2 cameras. They used an adhesive so weak that thwy were hanging from the wires less than 30 minutes after I picked my car up. I called what I thought was this store to verify that prices that day (Monday) would be the same on Saturday because I wanted my husband to review all of the specs and measurements. They both were the same price. After review and logging into the app to purchase, the one I decided on was now a higher price. The 5 year protection plan was also now higher. After being told there would be NO price increase that week, in 5 days both the tv and protection increased. I tried the chat, but it was a 50 minute waste of time. Then I called the 888-247-8289 number and kept being put on hold and being told agents were busy, did I want to call back. No, I wanted an explanation. Eventually I spoke with An alleged supervisor named "Zulekha" who told me that they would not honor the prices. I then called back (904) 779-7474, which I thought was this store only to learn that you can't speak to anyone in any store. All numbers take you to an offshore call center. After spending tens of thousands at Best Buy purchasing all appliances and electronics for 3 homes, plus many other items, this is now Bye Bye for Best Buy. They don't honor their prices and when you call a local number they are really re-routing you to a call center. The service is less than 1 star and I am done. read more

Unfortunately, I dropped my Galaxy smartphone and cracked the screen to the point that little shards of glass were impaling my poor index finger everytime I Yelped. I actually ordered my phone on Best Buy's website for same-day pick-up and it couldn't have been more convenient. They pick-up line in the store wasn't too bad considering it was right after Christmas. There was about a 10 minute wait, but it was very organized and efficient. Just have your online receipt ready to show the cashier and you should have no issues. This is coming from someone who usually never goes into big box stores to do her shopping. Online shopper here... Overall, the selection at this location was very good. We wanted to see the latest big screens and all-in-ones available and the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Kind of disappointed, went in to buy an Apple Watch. Waited for like 15 mins before I got any help. And I only got help because I had to stop the guy. And he saw me looking but only stopped because I said something. Then he explained the difference between them. But someone else jumped in front and asked for assistance so I told him he could assist them. But he never came back. Me and 2 other people waited for 20mins and found him assisting someone else. He called me back 1 hr later and said he does not have the skill to install it. I spoke to the store manager and he said you can bring it back in two weeks and we will have a better installer. I said I want it installed and refund my installation fee that I already paid for. He argued with me!!!! Total, 80 miles for nothing. I have went early in the day to Best Buy on Friday, December 20 to buy a pro pencil for my brand new iPad 13. They had an open box deal which I purchased and upon reaching my house and opening the box I found out that the pencil actually in the box was not a pro pencil, but was a standard gen 2 type pencil. It is roughly about a 45 minute drive for me to make it back up to the Best Buy. on Blanding Boulevard just outside of Orange Park once I got there I went to the returns desk the nice lady behind the returns desk heard my complaint over receiving the wrong type of Apple Pencil. She took back and verified what I told her about it being the wrong type and then she came back out to the register me that they were going to replace it with a brand new one at no cost to me even though I'd already told her that it was an open box and I fully expected that I'd probably have to pay a little bit more to get a newer model. was really surprised and I just want to say thank you to Best Buy for standing behind their commitment to service and recognizing the inconvenience of drive all the way back up there to swap out your purchase. read more

This store sold me a 70" Vizio TV that started glitching within days of me buying it. When I called to have it replaced, they told me that they no longer carry this TV model and offered my money back. When returning it, the manager tried to not give me a full refund because I did not bring the feet of the TV in. So this store sells me a defective TV... and doesn't even have the integrity to give a full refund because of the cheap plastic feet. My father and I had to play "good cop, bad cop" with the manager before he finally caved and gave the full refund. That's the last time I'll ever buy anything from Best Buy. Why oh Why does this Best Buy have only an average of 2 1/2 stars? I just can't figure it out. This is our main Best Buy because it is the closest to our house and we are usually in here at least once a week, sometimes even more often. Hubby and I LOVE electronics. Best Buy is like a toy store to us. Many times we come in here just to look around and drool over things we'd like to get in the future. I have had experiences with pretty much every department in this store. Read all my quick tips for names of great employees in each department. We've always experience great, friendly service from all of the employees here, including managers and assistant managers. I purchased my MacBook from Best Buy (one in Orlando) rather than the Apple Store because Best Buy had a better protection plan. And they have honored that protection plan. I've had to take my MacBook in twice to be serviced and each time has been at this store. The first time was because my cd/dvd drive stopped reading discs and the second time was because I somehow managed to crack the top of my screen. We dealt with the Geek Squad both times and they were wonderful. Each time they had my MacBook back to me within a week and it was in tip-top shape. When they fixed the cracked screen, they replaced the entire front of the MacBook. It was so shiny, it looked like it had just came out of the box. When we moved a little over a year and a half ago, I accidentally threw away a box that had a couple of the cords for our surround sound. The employees in that department knew exactly what we needed and they did not try to sell us the most expensive cords. They were honest and told us the cheaper ones were just as good. The employees at Best Buy do not work on commission, so there's no reason for them to try to upsell you, and they never have with either me or my husband. I also needed an auxillary cable to plug into our receiver so I could run my iPod through the surround sound and they knew just what I needed. At the time, I didn't even know it was called an auxillary cable. I purchased my Dr. Dre Beats Pro headphones here and worked with yet another friendly and knowledgeable employee. In the near future, I'm going to be purchasing a Dr. Dre Pill, but I have an older iPod that doesn't have blutooth capability and they were able to explain to me what tiny piece I would need to plug into my iPod to make it compatible. We purchase all of our CDs and Blu-Rays from Best Buy. Every time we do, I go get on one of their Macs and use the internet to search other stores like Target, Walmart, Fry's, etc. to see if the item is cheaper anywhere else because they will price match here. Now they even price match internet sites such as amazon.com. We purchase everything here so we can get our Reward Points. The employees never mind that I'm doing it either. They'll often come over to see if I need assistance with anything and I straight up tell them what I'm doing and they're like, "Cool." It's kinda funny at this point because we're in there so much and I'm always price matching that most of the computer employees know me know. So they'll just walk over, ask me how I'm doing and strike up a conversation. hehe If you're not a Reward Member, it's free to join and I highly recommend it. You get a point for every dollar you spend here and as the points add up, you get certificates in your email which equals real money towards your next purchase. You don't even have to print the certificates out anymore. Now, when you check-out and give them your Rewards Card, the cashier automatically checks to see if you have any certificates you can use towards your purchase. Hubby and I are actually Reward Silver Members, which basically just means we spend WAY too much money at Best Buy, so we get a few extra perks like a point and a half for every dollar we spend, free shipping, a dedicated line to call, and a few other things. We've bought many other high-end items from this particular store, but this review would turn into a book if I were to mention them all. I've been using Best Buy since probably around 1999. I've been in all the Best Buy stores in jacksonville, most of them in Orlando, and some in other cities as well. This particular Best Buy is by far the very best I have ever used. When I read the reviews about horrible customer service here, my mouth just hit the floor. Because, as I said, as many times as I've been in this store it has always been a positive experience with wonderful, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable employees. I placed an order for a television at the Best Buy at 8151 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, Fl 32244 store No 430. On October 20, 2022 around 11:30 am. Placed my order in person for a 43" LG series 7 TV. We agreed on a delivery date of Oct. 24, 2022 . I rescheduled my appointments for the 24th so I would be available for the delivery. I was called by Best Buy at 7:43 pm 0n Oct. 23 that the delivery would be made between 8:30 am - 12:00 pm on Oct 23. I confirmed the appointment at 8:40 am on Oct 23, 2022, again at 10:30, 12:15 and finally at 1:30 pm on the 23rd of Oct. Contacted support to advise me that the delivery had been rescheduled to the 27th of Oct. I am not available. This is unacceptable, i have now wasted an entire morning and afternoon waiting on something that is NOT coming. As I had rescheduled several appointments and a meeting to be available on the 24th of Oct. I cannot stay another day at home waiting for a TV that may or may not arrive. I do not know many people that sit home all day waiting for arrives we have appointments, meeting and other functions in our daily lives. Bought a brand new, right out of the box Best Buy refrigerator. Had them deliver and set it up. Plugged it in and the lights came on. Looked like it was working so stocked it with food. Low and behold the thing doesn't work. Called Best Buy, they are going to replace it - in 6 days!!! They will not reimburse for any of the lose. They "graciously" offered $100 Best Buy Gift Card. Wow - thanks. You can't eat a gift card and Best Buy doesn't have much in the way for food to feed my family. If I had bought the Geek Squad insurance at $136, they would "possibly " offer a $200 food spoilage certificate - but that takes about 3 - 4 months for them to review the request and respond. After researching a surround sound system, we narrowed down our choices. This location was close, and we were ready to purchase. Just needed to nail down final options. Lexi was the only person available in home-stereo. We asked a few basic questions, and it was immediately clear that she was not nearly as knowledgeable as the previous staff that we encountered. I was fine with that because this location did not have the elaborate music room that the others did. My fiancé asked her a few questions and she lit up and responded passionately every time...but incorrectly. He humored her. I started asking about combability with the Sonos system etc. to test the level of experience. She would get a little attitude when I asked anything and let me know that she knows what she's saying because she has one at home. A major selling point for us was the ability to increase the surround sound options with the Sonos amp by Bluetooth. When I asked about that she told me that it cannot be done. That is huge for this project. I asked her if she was sure, and her response was that I could jimmy rig the system if I want but she has it and it only works with Sonos products. Attempting to put me down I suppose. At that point she lost our sale regardless of her obsession with my fiancé. Additional customer service training is definitely in order. Finally confirmed Best Buy no longer answers their phones period. The only way to remotely get help store to store is if a manager has another manager's cell phone number and is willing to go the extra mile. I've experienced this throughout Florida and two locations confirmed. When you order online and it shows one item, chances are it's not in stock and you're wasting the drive. Can't call and no one else can really give you a straight answer. A shame, they were such an awesome store in the past. read more

This was my first visit to Best Buy since arriving in Florida and I really appreciated the friendly, knowledge staff. Kyle was great at explaining the best options for a laptop based on my needs without overwhelming me with information. You could tell Kyle was passionate and that he was interested in me getting what I needed and wanted without breaking the bank. I appreciated how displays were organized by brand and how corresponding products were readily available. The store overall was clean, organized, and customer focused. The employees are awful they are rude and lazy and not very smart.. i wanted then to transfer data from my old watch to my new one .. it took 3 Hours!!!!! one employee would start and then just disappear .. they spent over an hour deciding that the first watch was defective.. very incompetent people.. so they got a 2nd watch and put it in to charge and then disappeared.. while I was waiting for them i noticed a young woman was shopping for a new phones and had been there a long time and no employee every approached her so I asked her if she wanted to just grab a chair and wait with me.. when the employee helping finally showed up again I told her to call some one to her her and she gave me a really dirty look but did get some employee to come up from where ever they hide at.. then she left again and I had to find another employee to help ,e get my watch.. This store is larger than the one in Arlington, and stocked better. Unfortunately, it suffers from the same malaise of workers that I've found in Arlington. Way to go Best Buy! Bought a new TV and wall mount from them online and it was shipped free ASAP. Needed a couple more accessories after talking with the Geek Squad folks and ordered them online for store pickup and got a text in under an hour that my order was ready. The real reason for this review though is to high five the two Geek Squad who wall mounted my new LG TV and an in wall wire kit. These two guys called about 30 mins before arrival, showed up right on time, took the time to make sure they understood exactly where I wanted the TV, and did an absolutely perfect job. My wall was drywall on top of wood slats and required some serious cutting to install the in wall wire kit. They made it look like a piece of cake. The TV is as level as it could possibly be and looks perfect. The wires are hidden and looks very clean. The Squad set up everything with the new TV, dialed it into my WIFI, hooked up all my existing components, and cleaned up everything and hauled away all trash. The price is a little more than what some electricians or handymen may charge, but I'd rather pay a little more knowing the job will be done right by guys who do this work day in and day out. read more

The customer service at this location could use some serious work. After purchasing a small item online I decided to have it delivered to the store for pick-up. After following directions and patiently waiting for my email, I read a pleasantly worded email that said Best Buy was "excited to inform you that your item is ready for pick-up." Apparently, the actual store was not nearly as excited (nor ready) for my visit. Upon arrival the clerk began instituting twenty questions to determine the location of my product. I'm thinking the whole time - "wait a minute, you emailed me and said the product is ready". Strike one. After finding the product the clerk returned and asked for my ID and credit card. Given the ten minute wait I can understand how it must have been forgotten that I had already handed them over. Strike two. Upon attempting to leave I was stopped by security asking for a receipt. Mind you the customer service desk is about ten steps away. So I produce my receipt thinking how bizarre it is that Best Buy would treat a customer like a thief. Perhaps if Best Buy treated customers like they actually were welcome, they might have more customers. It's not rocket science people. Strike three. I left thinking that may be the last time for a while I step into a Best Buy and certainly I would be hard pressed to return to this location. They exceeded my expectations in the fact this company as a whole has the worst customer service of any place I frequent. You might ask yourself , "why does he go back" I go back because of the convenience of the locations, the selections, and the warranty. Onto my most recent experience: Last week I was in the market for an Ipad and the closest stores that carried them were Walmart and Best Buy. I skipped out on Walmart because they don't have the ability to fix the Ipad if I ever have any issues. I get to Best Buy and all of the associates are busy with other customers and I am second in line as far as people who have been there waiting. The people in front of me were also interested in an Ipad but after about 10 minutes of standing around they decided to take their business elsewhere. That makes me next in line, right? Wrong! Another associate walks out from the back looks around, looks at me, then goes and sits down. Seconds later an older couple walks into the computer area and that same lady gets up to help them out........skipped. Another associates finishes up with her customer, walks towards my direction and is cut off midway by someone needing assistance who speaks very little English......Skipped again! After being skipped twice I walk right in front of the counter pull out my wallet grab my debit card and circle, hoping that someone will see that I really am interested in buying something. The same lady who snubbed me, then skipped me saw this and FINALLY came to assist me. I said Ipad 2, grabbed a case and made the transaction. I had to ask for the warranty and never once was there a "Do you have any questions about your device?" It might just be me, but if I am going to a place and plan on expecting $500+ I should be able to expect some semblance that they care if I spend my money there. I shouldn't be surprised as I have skipped out on two lap top purchases from them due to similar circumstances. (same story, different stores) Best Buy, Get your crap together or I will sacrifice my need for a warranty and will just start going to Walmart or will drive the extra 40 miles to get to an Apple store. My family have had great experiences with Best Buy but not with this location. We bought a car radio and I made an appointment to have them put it in for me. I set an appointment and dropped if off but when I returned an hour later, they didn't even start yet and the mechan was out at lunch. When he returned he said that he had a bunch of people waiting to do their cars and I had to wait. I complained to the store manager and asked what was the point of making an appointment if they are just pulling me along but got no straight answer. Instead, they told me it would be done in an hour even though they were closing and I had to wait. If it was only one bad experience, I would chalk it up to someone having a rough day but recently my parents bought a 32" tv for our small business. When we attempted to plug it up, the screen was damaged from no fault of our own. We tried to return it but they wouldn't give us our money back, because the same store manager said it was impossible for any tv purchased from Best Buy to be damaged because it's surrounded in styrofoam and taped prior to purchase.
