​Tyler and Matt are both exceptional. We recently moved and Matt connected our computer, printer and phones in our new home. He also installed and connected our 65" TV above the fireplace. We run a business out of our home and had Pride install a network. Though we were clear about our desire for complete coverage in our home, we had continual problems. Each time we had a problem, we were told the equipment needed updates in firmware or software, or were told, in their opinion, our speeds and coverage were fine.They weren't. We were down or had slow speeds and disconnects continually. The network never performed as sold. The final straw was when our network stopped working on a weekend. I called support and when I expressed my displeasure, I was told, "Well, I'm having to deal with YOU on a weekend," and refused us service until the following Monday. HORRIBLE attitude and worse customer service. We called another company. They LISTENED, responded and installed a new network 2 days later. We literally tossed every piece of equipment Pride installed. We got the coverage and speeds we asked for and have had zero problems in 4 months. Not one minute of downtime and speeds that are fast and consistent. The new company has no problems with calls or service on weekends. One star is generous for Pride. I would recommend you not buy from this company. read more

Regret trusting this business and it will cost me to fix their mistakes. Took in my MacBook Pro for a keyboard replacement (keyboard was not working due to a bit of water on the keys). For work, I do video editing, motion graphics, and graphic design-- so this MacBook is a very powerful (and EXPENSIVE) machine. To start with the "forgivable" issues, Tyler told me my Mac would be ready on a Thursday, but there was a 4 day delay due to shipping and holiday hours; my issue with this is that Tyler did not inform me of the delay which resulted in me having to borrow a computer at work with little notice on Monday morning. I stressed at the start of the project that progress reports were important to me because of work, so when I called at the EOD on Thursday and was met with an extremely rude attitude from him, it was clear he did not care. EOD Monday when it was ready for pick up, I was shocked at the issues. For one, he charged me $50 more in labor than I agreed to at the start of the project. I asked him why and he said because he thought it would take him 1 hour and it took him 3. It was the first time hearing of an hourly charging system from Pride. Second he replaced and installed the keyboard bezel in the wrong color (without informing me/asking me). He told me it was because he couldn't find the correct color online. The next morning I called another local tech repair shop that found the correct color in less than 3 minutes and told me they would never install the wrong color panel on someone's machine without calling and informing them. Last issue-- this repair by Pride damaged my speakers; there is terrible static buzz that I know wasn't there before (I work with sound everyday). Considering I do video editing, this is a HUGE new issue for me; I present projects over my Macbook very often so this is something I will have to repair. Not to mention the clear/visual cosmetic flaw in having a silver keyboard bezel/panel when the rest of Macbook is dark space grey. When I told Tyler that these issues reduce the value of my Mac, his response was "the value was already reduced when you broke the keyboard". (The large gap to the left and top of the trackpad is the cherry on top). The way I was treated by him throughout this repair reflects the complete disregard for customers and deliverables. Lastly, they are refusing a refund. I'm not sure the word "pride" is used in it's intended context. read more

I went to the Apple store because my computer was running slow. They ran every conceivable test on my computer and found nothing wrong with it. They said it was running slow because I ran many programs that used a lot of memory. The solution was simple and inexpensive: purchase 8 GIGS of RAM and have someone install it for me. It was not a service they provided. They told me exactly what to purchase. I went to Pride Computer Systems because it was right by my house. Pride Computers convinced me that, in addition to the additional memory, I should allow them to install a new hard drive. I agreed. Within 6 days of the installation, my computer stopped completely. It would not even turn on. I called them immediately and said I would bring the computer in. Their employee, Audra, plugged it in. It wouldn't turn on. Within minutes, without opening up the computer, without attempting to run any tests, without even being able to turn it on, she promptly declared said, "It was struck by lightening. It's totally unrelated to the work we did on your computer. We can't fix it but we'll charge you an administrative fee to send it to the Apple Store." I was outraged and replied: "Do you honestly expect me to believe that I was in here 6 days ago, you did major work on my computer, today it won't turn on and it's not related? That my computer was struck by lighting? I don't believe that for a minute."My computer had worked fine the night before. It was not plugged in overnight. I worked on it until the battery died and the next morning when I plugged it in to charge it, it would not take a charge. I took my computer to Apple and told them what happened at Pride Computer and they laughed OUT LOUD at the suggestion that it had been "struck by lightening" In the exact words of the Apple employee, "What he did was perform open heart surgery on your computer. And plenty of things could go wrong and obviously did go wrong." The Apple employees spent hours trying to get my computer running again. This is the same computer they had just spent hours testing and had found nothing wrong with. Now, it wouldn't work at all. I had no choice but to spend $2,000 to buy a brand new computer. In addition, I lost at least a full week's worth of work getting my computer up and running again. My computer is not a toy or a hobby. I am self-employed and my entire income comes from my laptop. What astonished me most was the way I was treated by Pride Computer Systems. When they first repaired my computer, I wrote a great testimony about them on my very-active Facebook page. When the owner thanked me, he asked me if I would write a favorable review on Google, which I immediately did. He promised me that if I wrote the review, he would provide a free future service. Yet after destroying my comptuer, he refused to even return my call. I called him from the Apple store before making the purchase of a new computer, to see if he would attempt to repair or make it right. I called him on the way home from the Apple store to see what he would do to make this situation right.He never even returned my calls! Never to this day. So I was out $2,000 for a new computer I should not have needed. I lost a week's worth of work. And on top of all of that, when I disputed the payment through my credit card company, Pride Computers deceptively used the favorable review I had so graciously written against me. So I had to pay them to destroy my computer. I'm amazed they are still in business. It was by far the worst experience I've ever had with any company. read more

Got my harddrive replaced a couple weeks ago, no big deal. Woke up one morning to find that the screen of my 2012 iMac had fallen off and broken. Now the guy is saying he can't absorb all the cost required to fix the screen, it's my fault that I have an expensive machine with expensive parts. My laptop screen started to flicker so I searched for a local computer repair service because I like to support local, if possible. I took my computer over there and we discussed my options. Even though they sell computers, tablets and laptops, Matt assured me that other than my screen, my laptop was in good condition. I thought that was really nice because he could have tried to push me to buy new from him. He ordered my screen and had it fixed in about 48 hours (which was quite enough of a detox for me). I purchased a laptop here and was having trouble with Vista and connecting to the internet. When I returned to the store a couple of weeks later, the guys there were rude and extremely unhelpful. I think they treated me worst because I was a girl by trying to make me feel dumb. They assured me it was not a vista issue and wanted to charge me a $40 service fee to look at it. I figured out that I needed a new router. However, I hate Vista and will never purchase anything or go to Pride Computers for service again.
