John is a genius…read more The hard drive in my first generation MacBook Air died. I took it to the Genius Bar at the Apple Store and those "geniuses" told me there was nothing they could do. My computer was to old and they would no longer support it. If it was a newer generation they could replace the drive, for about $350. Well, John had no such problems. A few days later and for less than $200 I had my MacBook back and with a new solid state drive. We know he has been sick; however, we would just appreciate an acknowledgement that he still has one of our laptops and the charges have already been paid. He required full payment up front, so that is what we did. The work he did on my husband's first laptop cannot be "recognized" by the laptop, so $250 down the drain. It took three service men (7 hours) to finally wire my windows to the system. My windows were prewired for security. The man that wired them only wired them to two zones for the entire house. Each room is supposed to be wired to a zone. It saves them money by only using two translators. We were never told about the three year contract. We would have cancelled with them, if we would have known they weren't authorized ADT. When our contract is up, we are canceling.

They told me they would give me an installation credit to cover any and all charges for installation, I would just have to pay the $100 (which was actually $105) and then I would receive a $100 Visa gift card back (even though you have to pay $5 shipping/handling). Aaron Joyner was the "sales" rep that came to my house and ripped me off. Told me he didn't know what I was talking about and that the "credit" was only for a house that was "pre-wired". Then he went into his schtick, to which I fell for it. I didn't do my research and I got burned. Needless to say, after ONE day the system broke and they are sending someone to look at it. I missed the cutoff to cancel and I am so disgusted with myself. Do not fall for the same mistake I did. Do yourself a favor and look at the reviews for this company throughout the United States. Stay away. I now have to live knowing that I am paying this company for 3 years. That really pisses me off.
