So, I'm a klutz and dropped my phone. The screen cracked. I'd only had this phone for about 3 or 4 months. A screen replacement was in order. LifeLine had the right price. It would still cost about half the price of the phone to fix, but it seemed worth it at the time. LifeLine didn't have the screen on hand, which is understandable. They ordered the screen and it arrived in a reasonable amount of time. I left them my phone because I needed to be elsewhere at the time and they had it done before the end of the day. The first thing I noticed was that the screen didn't sit perfectly in the bezel. It floated. Try as I might to press it down the screen separated itself from the bezel all around to the point that I could put a fingernail under the edge if I wanted and pry it off. Of course I'm not going to do this, so I dutifully continued to press the edges down. That was my mistake. I should have taken it in at the first sign of trouble. Today, I noticed that the screen had again broken because the bezel no longer protected the thin edge of the glass. Not happy but the crack didn't cross the lit part of the screen. I also noticed a blue area in the top-right corner. By the time I'd called LifeLine back, the blue area was now a black spot that was slowly expanding. By the time I made to the store the spot was about half the size of a thumb. If I had taken the phone in earlier or if the spot remained blue rather than black the warranty would have covered the fix. Not anymore. A full replacement was required. A second screen replacement just isn't worth it. Now fixing a cracked screen would be for the full price of the phone and questionable quality to boot. I will be buying a new phone. Thank you. Now it's evening and the black spot has expanded across the entire screen. My phone is unusable. So, I went ahead and pried off the screen to see what was causing it to float. I found a blue film remaining stuck to the back of the screen that should have been peeled off. This is a required step when installing a new screen. The LIfeLine technician had neglected to do so in this case. The dead screen sits a lot more snugly in its bezel with that film removed. LifeLine's fa ilure to remove the film before installation caused all the problems with the ill-fitting screen, and has led to the non-functionality of my phone. I went to LIfeLine with a functional phone that had a crack in the screen. After LIfeLine's "professional" fix for half the price of the phone, I have a dead phone. LifeLife destroyed my phone through their error and incompetence. read more

I had a very good experience at this location. While the sign says "phones and tablets", my son had a laptop issue that they helped him with. The tech was very helpful, very knowledgable and very pleasant to deal with. He spent about 20 minutes with my son and he guided him on what to do without a fee. I needed a screen protector for my iPhone, so he recommended the appropriate style and type and put it on my phone. It was the most FLAWLESS application I have ever seen. In a fleeting moment of anger following a very minor disagreement on Friday evening, I placed my iPhone face down on a table a little too hard, and what followed was utter devastation for me. My phone screen, although not cracked, went to half-screen, then it went gray, then it went black and did not come back up. Oh no. In the midst of the pandemic did I just kill my iPhone? OMG!!! What was I to do?? After spending over an hour on the phone with Apple Saturday morning and following multiple "tries" to fix the problem, I was told my phone was dead. Black screen of death. A brick. I could take it to a service provider (nearest one was St. Simons Island because the Jax Apple Store was closed due to the pandemic!!!). In doing so I'd also have to erase the phone then remove it from my account. This is fine, IF I HAD BACKED UP MY PHONE with iTunes (like I was supposed to). Nope. This is fine if I used the Cloud. Nope. Lesson learned loud & clear. TWO years of my data, including notes, pictures and videos of my kids during birthdays, Christmas, school plays, etc. was LOST. Yes, I cried. I prayed. And I probably cried again. But something told me not to erase it. So I refused. Despite being told by THREE people it was what I was going to have to do. I researched online. Could my data be recovered? My phone would still ping when checked, and I could shut it down (home button locked) and get it back up (home button unlocked) even though it didn't register as online, and I couldn't get it to connect to iTunes, I had hope. Didn't I? Surely I wouldn't lose two whole years of memories. It turns out I did have hope!!! I found LifeLine Repairs after searching for data recovery in Jax and sent a message to them (through Yelp! whoo hoo) regarding my phone. Daniel quickly responded that it might just need a screen change, so I should bring it in for diagnosing. What? Did I hear that right? That's it? I didn't "break" the phone but I just messed up the screen. Really??!!! My hope escalated as high as the Eiffel Tower, and I just about burnt dinner running around the house telling my family my phone might be saved. One thing though...they were now closed until Monday. So I had to wait....hope...pray...all through Saturday evening and all day on Sunday. I can do this! I had hope. I went in on Monday Morning and Daniel checked. He didn't know I was praying in the lobby. He came back out and said all it needed was a screen replacement. I teared up and said I could cry (but I was not gonna let him see me cry, I'm an ugly crier). Anyway, back to the point...he fixed my phone within 20 mins for less than the cost of what my insurance would've charged me to replace a cracked screen and also less than what a replacement phone would've cost me. I could've professed my love right there on the spot (and maybe I did express over and over how much I appreciated him and that he made my day). Instead of professing love though I did promise to give him a worthy review. So here it is, in detail. DO NOT LOSE HOPE at least until Daniel says so! He surely provided a life line (see what I did there?) for me when I was in my own Lion's Den and I cannot thank him enough. He and LifeLine Repairs will undoubtedly receive many referrals from me to anyone who mentions a problem with their phone, and I hope if you have a phone issue and took the time to read all of this you will run to LifeLine to get yours checked. Broke my screen on my iPhone 7 a couple months ago and finally wanted to get it fixed. Went on Yelp , got several quotes and ended up going with Lifeline Repairs. Super happy I did. They quoted me on Yelp at $99 and said it would be a quick twenty minutes. I went on my lunch break around 2pm. I immediately was greeted, said I needed to get my screen fixed. TIP- make sure you get a quote on Yelp from them to receive that 99$ discount . They currently have a 50% off screen protector w/screen replacement special listed on the board. He offered to put the screen protector on for $10. I declined as I have one at home. However, he said if I brought mine in from home that he would put it on for me! I panicked when I got my iPhone 5 wet and the touch screen wouldn't work. The Verizon store was no help and referred me to Lifeline.
