I'm new to Jax from Los Angeles and rely heavily on Yelp and Google reviews to find good services etc. Yelper reviews did not disappoint my trip to iphone911! After my most recent whirlwind trip from Jacksonville to Canada to Philadelphia then Los Angeles then Hawaii and back through Los Angeles to Austin to Atlanta to Jacksonville (thank you airlines for all your crazy flight cancellations by the way! *sarcasm*), a crack in my iPad 5th generation screen occurred somewhere along the path. I use my iPad for video conferencing especially while I travel, and it is my lifeline to my work as a therapist. I didn't want to replace my iPad unnecessarily and looked up different shops in the Jacksonville area who provide glass replacement. The staff at the iPhone 911 were really helpful over the phone, gave me a very reasonable quote, and were able to confirm that they had my parts in stock and could have my repair completed in about two hours. This is all despite losing power earlier in the day due to a storm coming through! I don't know about you, but having good service and kind staff who are also dealing with the stress of a power outage gave me a really good impression over the phone. I had called two other places who's quotes were either more expensive, grumpy staff, didn't have my parts in or would take too long to repair. Iphone911 to the rescue! I hopped in my car and got connected to Caleb who took good care of me. Within less than the time I was quoted, Caleb had my iPad ready and in good shape. He also paid attention to me as a customer noticing that I had come from Los Angeles. He was originally from Santa Monica and we had a great convo about our mutual visits to Southern California. Ernie and I had breakfast at Open Grille Cafe on Beach Blvd. The Owner's grandson told me about this place. He heard me say that I could not take pictures of my breakfast. He called them and inquired to see if they fixed cameras on iPhones. The man said, "yes". So Ernie and I both took our iPhones right away. We both had dropped our IPhones the same week and cameras broke. We walked in and the first thing I see is "Yelp" signs everywhere. YES! Upon checking in, "FREE SCREEN". I already had one, so they put one on Ernie's iPhone. Between the two of us, they had both of our IPhone Cameras fixed and out the door in thirty minutes. Now, the highlight: Kaleb and Kevin were helping multiple customers, fixing phones, answering the phones of the business, and they were so kind and helpful! Wow this is the only business I have seen with a 5-star rating. The reviews are legitimate. I happened to be the only customer at the time and I was in and out with a new phone battery in 15 minutes. Much better value than batteries/bulbs place, and I appreciate they did not ask me for the passcode, like batteries/bulbs did. Disappointing. Was quoted a $40 price online, after going to the store to complete the work the price increased by $140 without being communicated. I asked why the price change wasn't communicated before the work was completed, they said it was communicated several times but I was probably too distracted by my child to have heard. After the owner commented: You were not present either. My issue is about poor communication and doubling down with all onus being on the customer and no responsibility for the company. The atmosphere is peaceful and quiet. There's a small, serene tree on the counter. I like to look at it. The chairs are brown, smooth, and firm. I can briefly rest in them. :) The team members there are willing, cooperative, and polite. I was supposed to be getting a recycled iPhone from my former supervisor but he had a lot of excuses as to why he did not have the phone for me. I was missing a lot of important phone appointments and I could not make deliveries for work due to my phone problems. Walked into IPhone 911 at 545 pm on a Friday, just knowing they would turn me around as I would be ready to close up shop for the night. I had no choice but to try as my phone decided it wanted to completely die for good. Not the case though, the guy (apologies for not getting his name) was very nice and told me he would have it ready in a few minutes. Not only was I good to go within less than 10minutes but he didn't like the test of a brand new battery and gave me a slightly used one with $10 off.
