Best Buy was always my first choice for electronics. Recently I purchased a couple of Roku sticks from them and the sales person informed me of their price match guarantee. A few days later just for kicks I found them on Amazon for half the price. I called Best Buy customer service and was told they won't match Amazon because they use third party buyers. So I checked out Walmarts prices and they were even cheaper. This time I printed it out and went to the store. Lo and behold the CS rep at the counter said they won't match Walmart because use third party providers. It wasn't a lot of money but, because of their scam price guarantee I'm canceling my membership and I'm done with Best Buy read more

Fantastic customer service. Wandered around the store looking for Xbox power chords. When I admitted I didn't know what I was doing, asked the help/geek squad table. They understood my almost unintelligible request and sent me to another team member and section. I was helped in a similar fashion 3 more times. If you have questions or just want to shop in person. I shopped the Garner, NC store today. Jon in the home theater department was very helpful. After asking a few questions and listening to the answers, Jon showed us a couple of really good options that were appropriate for the function and in the price range we indicated. He spoke to us about the product differences and answered all of our questions. He did not pressure us to buy a particular product or upsell us. We were allowed to walk around and think about the options, but when we made our decision, he was right there to help us. Jon was friendly and courteous. Customer service sucked. The tv didn't fit in our suv by about an inch. As we stood there trying to figure out what to do they said "it's yours now" and walked away. Did not offer any alternative options. Another customer who saw the exchange helped us unbox it and put it in our suv. I tried to call to talk to a manager and never heard back from them. I would highly discourage anyone from buying any expensive electronics from BestBuy. We bought an ASUS PC and when we received the unit there were loose parts jumbling around the inside of the computer. The computer comes with a transparent side panel. When I replaced the side panel with the transparent one, I saw that the cpu chip and its fan were the loose parts. I simply put these items back in place. The computer worked but kept overheating and shutting down. We took the computer back to BestBuy, however, they refused to allow us to return the computer because it had been "tampered with." We now have a $1400 piece of junk. We will never buy anything again from BestBuy and encourage you to think twice before you buy anything from them as well. read more

Worst location in the company! Store manager doesn't do his job and the car stereo techs don't do there's. I've been trying to deal with them for nearly a year bc of a terrible job they did installing a $500 car stereo. Icing on the cake is... every time you need something done, you have to go in person to schedule it which takes 30m of talking to 10 different people. No one answers the phone and the manager (if they have one?) will never return your calls. I've dedicated several days to go there and try to resolve things, along with several days where I've given them my car to "work on". Do not give these guys your business read more

Got transferred 6 times to "the right department" or "the billing department" and kept getting transferred. And this is why I only buy from Amazon or other online retailers. My elderly mother has been a customer with Best Buy Garner NC for years. She has purchased several computers there. Her most recent purchase was in May. The computer is already in need of repairs. She took the laptop in for repairs and now we can't get anyone of the phone to answer any questions about the repair status. We checked online and says they need additional information from her. We call and can't get anyone to answer being on hold for 15 minutes at the time. We call Geek Squad and they tell us we have to call the store; this is after receiving an email stating we need to call. This is the most horrible customer service ever! I certainly will have my mother purchase her computers elsewhere moving forward! It's a shame she pays so much money and gets this treatment! Fed up with Best Buy. read more

The knowledge of staff, the availability of the items I came in for, and price-matching if needed. This will sound fake. It is not. Installer canceled the day of install because he knew he had just been exposed to Covid. Thankful for that. Service Manager called before the appointment instead of allowing us to be surprised. Thanks for knowing and thanks for the heads up well in advance of the appointment. Service Manager promised to work on organizing someone to replace the installer the same day. Thank you for not overpromising because we honestly did not believe that would happen. An ARMY of BB-Garner service people arrived on the SAME DAY. Now that is outstanding. Including the Service Manager. That is basically unheard of. They did not misstep once, solicited our opinion and approval every step of the install and would not leave until we were comfortable using the installed devices. You simply cannot fail to write a review giving as many stars as the scale will allow under these circumstances. The test isn't how one does when things are going the way they "should", the test is how one responds when things DON'T go the way they are supposed to go. 5 stars because I cannot give more. Best Buy made a complete mess of the delivery of the range and dishwasher we purchased. They were supposed to deliver on Tuesday, but called us to say they had (admittedly) erred, and rescheduled for yesterday between 4-8. After waiting for 4 hours, I called and spent nearly an hour trying to find out what was going on. Finally, this morning, we found out that our range - a floor model we purchased ON THE FLOOR in Garner- had been shipped to Georgia, where it was sitting along with our dishwasher. While the personnel in Garner were very accommodating and apologetic, I would caution anyone considering a purchase that necessitates delivery. Their system is a hot mess. read more

Pretty sorely stocked, the employees are always extremely reluctant to honor a price match, as if they lose commission when they have to discount an item. Other than those two issues the employees generally do try to help, when I can find one available... Best buy in general has to be hurting because their selection and prices are absolute garbage these days. But my man Kuaye has renewed my faith in them today. I went there hoping they would not be out of the Xbox Elite Series 2 controllers...I ran into Kuaye and he showed me where they were kept only to find an empty shelf. He got on his phone to see if there were any left and it said there was one. He looked allll around for about 20 minutes and finally found it in the warehouse. Bestbuy.Com did well except for when I made the payment with Paypal, they used my old name and not my new name to pick up. I was awared of that so I brought the court order stating both my new name and old name to store because my ID has my new name as well as a debit card with my picture and my old name in it but the store manager gave me a hard time and didn't let me pick up. They suggested me to cancel my order and make a purchase in store where they don't take paypal. I put up with traffic to make an hour drive to the store to be turned away. Well, it's your lost to deny a $2,500 purchase. I have a paid gig to use that lens the next day and I had to call off because of this incident. Disappointed in the lack of empathy and accountability! Several months ago, I purchased a new vehicle. I contracted Best Buy of Garner, NC to install an aftermarket Remote-Starter onto my new vehicle. Shortly after installation, I began receiving "low tire pressure" notifications on my dash panel. As one would naturally do, I had all my tires checked to ensure they were filled with the proper amount of air. When this was done, and resulted in no remedy of the dash panel notification I immediately scheduled an appointment with the service center from where I purchased my vehicle. They kept my car for several days diagnosing the issue and issued me a rental car on their behalf. Finally, it was recommended by the technician to order a new TPMS modem under the belief that the one currently in my vehicle was malfunctioning. Once the new modem was ordered and installed, the dash panel notification still did not go away. At this point, the technicians were profoundly perplexed and decided to spend a few more days with the vehicle to further diagnose this phenomenon. Upon further investigation, it was found that a critical factory wire had been cut during the installation of the aftermarket Remote -Start. This critical wire controls the Tire Pressure Sensor and Door Locks. Since this issue was not covered under warranty, the dealership has charged me for the length of time the rental car was in my possession in addition to the labor and parts that had to be replaced due to the factory wire being cut during the aftermarket Remote-Starter installation. Best Buy has been very slow, almost non-willing, to help me bring resolution to this fiasco! I've been so loyal to this neighborhood store and to be treated like this is very upsetting! read more

I've been here twice, and each time was rather a strange shopping experience. We were looking for a turntable for our television. Both times we were here, except for the cashier up front, it seemed like we were the only people in the store. We wandered all through the tv section and never once encountered a salesman. I don't like being pressured, so for me, this was a plus, but I don't know what you would have to do if you wanted to ask some questions. After a lot of searching, this was the only place locally that had the kind of turntable we wanted, so they get marks for selection. read more

The technician that installed it noticed I chose an inferior product, recommended an upgrade to a stellar product and I only paid the difference for a part the first item was missing. Great service. I love electronics, but Best Buy ruined my Christmas. I wanted to build a computer for my brother, and went to Best Buy is purchase a graphics card. I purchased the RX570, it was the last one on the shelf. This was a $229 graphics card. I open the box to install the card and after plugging it in, it turns out it the card was a GTX card and not an RX570. The card looked very similar to the RX570, but it was a completely different extremely low value card, probably $20! I went back to Best Buy to return the item. First they told me I didn't buy it from their store, even though I had the receipt from that store and told them to look on the cameras. Then they told me they were not going to let me exchange because it isn't the same card as advertised on the box.... I said obviously, that's why I'm returning it. The manager was rude and had neck tattoos. She basically called me a liar, I think her name was Nicole. They had no idea that it wasn't the card as advertised on the box, and had to explain that it wasn't the same card. Just all around very poor customer service. I even went online and showed them reddit posts of this happening to people who bought the RX570s. Some geek squad member even came over saying how he's seen this happen before. The card must have been returned and they sold it as new, which is an extremely shady thing to do in the first place. All in all Best Buy would not let me exchange the card and I lost $229. I saved up a while to get that card as a great Christmas gift. I will never be shopping at Best Buy again. I was literally scammed by a big box retailer. What a shame... read more

Had a great experience in the store yesterday the employees are always polite and helpful. the store was very busy as to be expected and the employees were working hard at the pickup area answering phones and helping people. I love Best Buy, I have been shopping here since their existence. Customer service is typically very helpful, but today I tried to return a item that clearly stated on the back of the box there was a 30 day money back guarantee but the Geek Squad manager I guess said we can't handle that you would have to write the mfg company for their warranty return. I understand that there are certain procedures and policies but he was very rude and snippy at the way he said it and then I asked him for the information and he refused to give me any kind of information to contact them. He was a rude jerk, I wish I knew his name but I didn't see his name tag. Customer service should be a priority but it did not seem to matter to him. Very disappointed in this experience. It will be very unlikely that I nor my family ever get the Geek Squad to help us with any needs if I see that guy even in the building. I will make sure to tell my family and my friends about him and hopefully they will do the same.
