Nothing out of the norm here with this TJ Maxx location. Parking wasn't as bad as i thought it would have been during the holiday visit that I made. Now the stores condition would be a 3 because of the holidays rush - other than that normally a decent four star. They really didn't have what we were searching for which sucks because TJ normally has great pricing on items that cost more. read more

I came in today looking to see what product they had in stock for lilly pulitzer and Kate spade. I saw 1 Kate spade towel and zero lilly Pulitzer. I know both are highly coveted brands so I wasnt surprised. The store was steady and shelves were packed. I had wandered into Ross right before (realizing I was in the wrong store) and was pleasantly surprised by the substantially larger selection at TJX. The store had lots of bins in the aisles, for product needing to be put on shelves, so it made it harder to maneuver comfortably around the store and around other guests. I was almost ready to leave empty handed, when I wandered by the toy aisle, then I hit the mother load. I walked out with cabbage patch dolls, frozen 2 toys and Outdoor sand toys. I purchased a coat for my daughter. When I got home I realized the sensor was left on the coat. When I finally had time to bring the coat back a week later to have the sensor taken off, there was no apology. Only a thorough examination of the receipt as if I had stolen a $28 coat. Considering that this store is full of lots of random things at random times, I won't even comment on how the store looks because that would be the least of my concern! The store seems to restock super slow and I hate when the beauty area is low. But other than that, if you go in on a good day, they have lots of good deals on the things you love for sure! This is the TJ Maxx closest to me, so I've been here many times. Everytime I decide to go here its a HUGE disappointment. This TJ Maxx is like the reject pile of all the other TJ Maxxes. They carry no good name brands, the merchandise they do carry would be better suited for a flea market, and half of it is broken or has holes in it. I'm honestly surprised people even shop at this store. I love TJ Maxx, but this place is complete trash. Spend a few extra minutes and drive to Raleigh, because Garner is a waste of time! read more

The girl at the front that cleaned the carts was sweet and greeted us at the entrance. The things that need improvement would be the cashier that helped us, she didn't have a name tag but seemed to have an attitude with us. Also as she was ringing our stuff up there was a lady how was stocking the candy and nuts near the register and came up right behind my mom. Clearly some of the staff need to be told about staying six feet away. I told her excuse me and she mumbled something under her breath. Honestly she could've waited for us to finish being rung up to stock the item. read more

I went in for a return of some luggage, and the associate, Julia (buzz cut hair with blonde ends), messed it up and gave it all a gift card instead of putting it back on the originals form of payment that I wanted. To fix it they had to give it in cash instead.. still not what I wanted but oh well. They basically claimed they were doing me a favor since the receipt was a little faded, even though I only ever folded it and put it away. But how was I supposed to know it wouldn't be allowed if no one ever warns about it. I left but looked at my receipt and was still confused as to why I had a certain amount of money on the gift card. She didn't explain it very well but I was getting nervous because she was getting aggressive so I left. I gained my computer and came back and made eye contact with her and asked her to explain why I still had money on the gift card. She ignored me completely. Turns to the other associate that was there and says "you deal with her I'm tired of this I'm not gonna deal with her cuz she doesn't understand and it's not gonna end well. She's..." and proceeds to rant on to her co-workers about the situation and basically how stupid I am and how I got her messed up and how I'm wrong and things like that.... So they call the manager.. making a scene, when all I wanted was a little help in understanding why I had the gift card amount that I did. So the manager comes and explained it. Still seemed a little annoyed, but she was still respectful about it. The store itself is fine and I know there are other workers that are nice and helpful. But Julia ruined the whole experience. She insulted me while talking with her coworkers and made me feel stupid when it wasn't even my mistake to become with. read more

Came in looking for a car charger before I headed back to Greensboro and ended up walking the clothing aisles. This store is of decent size and had a nice selection. I especially liked how neat the display was for the Junior's dresses since they were mostly long and flowy. I never found a car charger (they only had one but it did not come with a USB cord) so I purchased a USB cord by itself. My cashier was quick...she asked me if I wanted to save 10% and then quickly rang up my item when I said no. I would definitely return to peruse more of their selection. read more

This is the closest TJ Maxx store to me, so I shop here often. However, as far as selection goes, it is almost always pretty picked over. The other TJ Maxx stores around Raleigh have a lot better selection and they are often worth the drive. The clerks here are friendly and customer service is good, never had a bad experience with the staff or the service. Just wish this store would be provided with more product. read more

The worst customer service I've had in a long time! Asked an employee for help and she was extremely rude. I asked her if she could point me in the direction of finding a plain black button down dress shirt and her exact words where "I don't know, all I can tell you is look" as she shooed me away from her and smacked her gums. I had a shopping cart full of items I was going to purchase and I was so taken back by her rudeness and lack of help, (she acted as if I was bothering her by asking her a simple question, mind you SHE WORKS THERE AND WAS ON THE CLOCK) I literally left my full cart there and walked out the store because I was not going to give that store my money after that. I wish I had gotten her name she was a very old, African American woman, and pretty small. There was another employee standing right beside her who didn't even acknowledge me or offer to help. This store has gone to trash. If you're that miserable you shouldn't be working with people. That bitter, cold lady should be fired. I'm sure I'm not the only customer she was nasty to. read more

Great tjmaxx, especially if you're looking for pillows. Easy in and out. However I don't enjoy hearing your associates gossip and talk about how bad the new management team is and why you're losing associates, while I'm trying to shop.
