Me and 2 other people applied at this job and neither of us got the job. We all have work experience and im pretty sure we met the requirements to have that job. I believe this job is racist. I did a social experiment and let my white friend apply at this job. She did the over the phone interview and was later granted the job. She turned down the job because of how sick they were. Before you ask yes me and my others were BLACK!. I'll never shop or step foot in this work place ever again. I called the hiring manager and asked her why I didn't get the job, and she told me that I didn't meet the requirements for this job and that I didnt have enough work experience, but my white friend has worked at the same jobs as me and we both left those jobs the same day and time. This is the worst Kohl's I've ever shopped. The associates are not friendly or welcoming at all. The cashiers are very slow and let the line get long and don't call for back up. The selection at the Garner store is also lacking and below other Kohl's stores I've shopped. I've to the Cary, Durham and Brier Creek stores and they are ALL better than the Garner store. I totally caught Kohl's in a buying SCAM !!! This is a must read. At Halloween time I saw a " talking anamited pumpki" for $49.95. So I looked on Amazon and saw it for the same price. So I decided to wait for the sale to go down to 50% off. Well I saw it but now it was priced $99.95. That way they still get their original price sold to the customer. I asked about it at the service desk and they said no it was $99.95. I Told them I saw it in their store for $49.95. I also told them it was on Amazon for $49.95. I came in to shop a little after 10 this morning. They had a friendly greeter at the door with wipes and carts. I made my way to the kids section to shop for my sons birthday. This store is so clean and full of merchandise. I never feel like it's messy, in fact it appears that they work very hard to keep it organized. The bathroom is cleaned and fully stocked as well. I made my way to the holiday decor area and was excited to see that they had Christmas out and already 30% off discounts, currently. I went to my last section, footwear, they had an excellent clearance sale with an extra 20% off on top of the current discount so I scored a great deal on their premium athletic apparel/shoes. When I went to checkout I noticed all lanes were blocked off so I asked the lady standing at the nearby customer service desk. She said they had this store side of registers closed, but said she'd ring me up if I wanted her to. I thought that was super customer focused and friendly. My beef with Kohl s in general is the lack of adequate checkout service. Seems to be most everyone of them. I don't know if it is lack of employees or they just don't care. Just very hard to get help at Kohls. I went to the one at White oak in Garner to return a single item. They had a single checkout register open adjacent to the return counter. The return counter was assisting with checkouts. When I approached the return counter, I got shouted at for breaking in line at by upset customers waiting in the endless single checkout line. While checking out I had to decline to hand over my personal details 4 different times. They force their staff members to request your details/join loyalty schemes etc etc and they are super aggressive about it. It really pisses me off that I have to politely decline so many times. Received an item as a gift and the person who gifted the item was not able to locate the receipt for me to do the return. When I visited the store the service desk staff was extremely helpful with the return as well as helping me to find a product in place of mine since mine was no longer being sold in the store. I was thankful to be assisted by this customer service team and it made my shopping experience with Kohl's an enjoyable one. read more

I have no problem with this particular store, it's merchandise, location, layout, staff or anything but the chain itself because management uses the same criminal marketing technique in all stores that should fool no one. Everything is permanently on insane sales percentage off, often 60% or more of prices that are at least 2-3 times more than any reasonable person would pay to begin with unless you live in Beverly Hills, are the world's worst shopper or money is simply in such abundance that it is of no importance whatsoever. Good thing Americans are so bad at math that they are too embarrassed to stop the sale at the counter when they realize how much they have been ripped off Kohl's should be investigated and heavily fined for deceptive practices. I used to shop here much more like other people i knew until we collectively got sick and tired of the bs. Plus, the Kohl's cash is clever to get you back but doesn't nearly make up for the stupid markups of sometimes even 80% for which bad shoppers end up still overpaying compared to many other chains with true sales. There are rarely if ever any true deals or bargains at any Kohl's, just lies. Probably why stores are usually empty. My prediction is the chain will soon he bought out and sold off or just file for bankruptcy. I can't imagine there are enough dumb people to keep them in business. Shame management never took a basic marketing, economics or finance course. A lot of people will eventually lose their jobs because of it. read more

This Kohl's is at White Oak Shopping Center off of 40 and 70, and White oak Road. I've been going there for years and the employees are very helpful and happy. I did a Return today that went seamlessly. Kohl's in general always have big "sales", but the original prices are outrageous so that the 50% off price is what I'd actually pay for the shirt/pants/jeans/undies/pajamas. Same goes for the Bedding and Kitchen Supplies. But you can find some very good deals here, they have a really nice selection of items, roomy dressing rooms, and nice displays. So I'll keep going back! read more

I picked out an item and went to the front to pay and leave. There was only one cashier on duty and, naturally, a line. I got in line and then saw a woman at the "customer service" counter finishing with a customer. As she started to walk away I asked her is she would check me out. She said she had to take someone who was standing in line. I told her I was standing in line and she said it had to be the next person in line but did not attempt to get that person's attention. I saw that more people were entering the line so left the item on the counter and proceeded to leave. The lady said, I am sorry but that's our policy as I walked out the door. This is a major reason people buy online instead of in store. I doubt if management reads these, but I know the technology is available to make checkout much more efficient than Kohl's method. read more

I realize it's small town North Carolina but seriously! When only about 10 miles to the Kohls in Cary is like Night and day in the way of selection of merchandise and kind employees it's ridiculous. It's 12/08/17 long lines and after already making my purchase I'm told they no longer offer clothing gift boxes but I can go to the back of the store and buy them for five bucks. fine off I go. Long lines and not a soul at jewelry so I go there and I'm told "this is the jewelry counter" when I ask if I can buy my one and only parcel there. I look all around and after seeing not a soul I say to the clerk "well that explains all the jewelry and shiny stuff. Can I just buy this here?" My story is already too long but like pulling teeth to pay ten dollars for what customer service just told me was five dollars to house product that I'd just paid over a hundred dollars for... Typically, I am an online shopper and appreciate the ease of returning unwanted or ill-fitting items. The service representatives are most friendly and willing to look into questions that I have had. I will never shop with this company again. They purposely deceive with pricing online vs. in-store. They have the items in store but won't match the online prices. I purchased items online that I saw at the store and got an email back saying they didn't have them in stock. Walking in the store the items were easy to find but they wouldn't match the prices I had found online. Horrible customer service as well. Not worth the hassle. I'm writing this review not about a certain store but about the Kohls customer service that I receive when I call about my Kohls card. No one can seem to tell me how long it will take to receive my new card. They say several weeks. I can't understand how so many other businesses can tell you that you should receive your card (whatever card in 2-10 business days etc.) but Kohls can't seem to master this. I was also sent a card earlier this year that I wasn't expecting and didn't even know it was coming and never received it. I just happen to find out when I couldn't log into my Kohls charge account and called for help. I think the call center is in another county and I'm having trouble understanding what they are saying. Are they sending my card from China? Are they really this unorganized that they are putting my credit at risk? The stores have really gone down hill as well, unorganized and messy. Kohls you need to get it together. We the customer are getting frustrated!!! read more
