Looking for energy drinks became a hunt in the store because there's no signage. Seasonal section isn't seasonal. Some items are very limited. I was looking for a mouse pad and I had two options: a flat black mousepad for $5 or a black mousepad with a cushioned wrist for $10. Overall, I'm not as impressed with this Walmart as I once was. Sure, groceries are still cheaper but I'd rather save my sanity.

The prices are good for most items and the aisles are easy to fit two carts down. Checking out can be an issue as there are just one of two cash registers open if you don't use self checkout. But with my bag from the pharmacy that sometimes causes issues in the self checkout so I will wait for a register. Service is friendly so just give yourself some time to checkout.

When we arrived we had to wait for a few minutes prior to us being able to enter the store since there were so many people inside. All of the employees that we came in contact with were very friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. There were a lot of nice items including shoes, purses, and clothes for sale. Employees also gave out wine, water, cookies, pretzels, and bags with purchase. There was also a DJ. More giveaways & sales will be available for the grand opening on Thursday.

She personally assisted us with shopping for appropriate dresses for a 8th Grader. Unfortunately we did not find a perfect fit, however, the selection at Dillards for evening gowns and Special Occasions is tremendous. I appreciate the fact they dedicated a portion of the store to Juniors sizes. Many of the other department stores have gotten rid of Juniors/ Misses and have merged styles with Women's clothing. Dillards has an abundance of designers, I just wish the price tags were reasonable.

The only drawback was that the store seemed as though it was maybe opened a bit too early as a lot of shelves were somewhat empty and thus location was much less stocked than the Raleigh location. Again, just an observation - maybe in a few weeks it'll be more stocked and have more to look at. The main area of this location is furniture. I've never purchased furniture from Big Lots, but there seemed to be a decent amount of focus on this department as well as mattress options. I grabbed a few housewares items and household staples. The prices on ICE flavored waters was .75, which is lower than the grocery store and we love those drinks! Got a cute fall doormat for $10, too.
