This store gives me joy every time I step in! The employees always go above and beyond to assist with EVERY single need! On my most recent visit, I was on the prowl for a shoe and a size 12! Ladies with big feet, gather here! I showed Amanda a picture of my dress and she immediately helped me find a shoe that matched perfectly. The only problem was the shoe was not available at the location, Amanda,Jemeisha, and Jasmine assisted me in placing the order. They literally scanned the barcode of the shoe, made sure it was the correct item, printed a list of the stores that had the shoe in stock which was only two in the entire country, and helped me track down the shoe! I am so grateful for this team and all of the effort they put into helping me put my perfect outfit together. Also, if you need help with styling and outfit, I have worked with Jackie at this location who is also phenomenal. I cannot say enough nice things about this store. Even the merchandising team is pleasant to work with, and they ensure that the prices are correct. If you are looking for a place to buy the perfect outfit, buy housewares, buy fragrance at a really good price, I would 100% recommend this location. I was very pleased with my shopping experience at Macy's Crabtree. The store is currently undergoing construction/ renovations. Parking on the lower level Edwards Mill entrance was seamless. I scored a parking spot in the first row near the entrance. Upon arrival staff at checkout assisted me with my Online Order Pick Up. Shopping online is much easier with a larger selection and unbeatable deals. Today I picked up my daughter's graduation dress. We have been searching for many weeks at the local department stores. Finally we found a gorgeous purple satin midi dress by Emerald Sundae. It's beautiful. When it comes to special occasion dresses Macy's has saved us time and money. The staff were phenomenal delivering 5 Star, red carpet service ! They assisted me with finding a blazer for my preteen as well in the Bar III section. I look forward to shopping this Location for myself in the near future. The store was well organized and selection was great. The only thing that needs to change are the dressing rooms. They are very dated and worn down. Hoping that this will be apart of the new construction and renovations to come. read more

We shop in the backstage section of Macy's the most, due to prices, but do shop in the women's clothing department as well, when there is a sale going on. The backstage section is not very well kept, not neat, hard to find the right size in anything, etc. but we breeze through there just in case. The regular store is much more a typical Macy's, but it is very hard to find a register open or a sales person. There is a restroom on the first floor that is large, but only has one toilet and sink. It is awkward and shameful that a store as big as Macy's has this kind of restroom. Most of the time when we go by there is someone waiting to get in. We had to wait so long one time...well it was just too long .... Not our favorite store for sure, for the above reasons, but we check it out sometimes. read more

In town for work and needed to pickup a pair of pants. Walked the store several times and could not find the plus size section, no one asked me if I needed help, however several people were standing around looking at their phones. I stopped at the jewelry counter to ask where the plus size section was to find out they only carry a few dresses in plus size in the store and the disastrous Backstage area had some plus sizes. The associate said they had plus size online and gave me another recommendation nearby. She was very helpful. However, shame on you Macy's for not carrying all sizes in your stores! read more

I've used this store for pick up online orders. The staff is nice, they have things organized well. The store itself has an array of collections organized by designers and then themed items (winter coats) are all in one section for ease and convenience. My gripe is that whenever I do pick-ups, the employees themselves hold up lines to talk to each other with zero regard for waiting patrons. It's alright if this happened once but it's an observation of common occurrence. Overall, I love Macys for quality items and nice discounts on one day sales and Black Fridays. read more

My wife just picked up a bag on those shelves, but the system reflects that the bag was not in sale. As you can see in the photo, all shelves reflect the same 50% sale. We went to Macy's to pickup big&tall clothing. The clearance section had a few 3 & 4 XL T-shirts but that's it. Looking at us lost, the floor manager walked up and enquired about what we were looking for. She was kind enough to explain us the specific store at Crabtree mall did not have anything beyond 2xl and we were better off online. She did make a suggestion and we are very thankful to her. So while I did not get what I walked in for, I feel the staff and culture is of helping customers which is in itself a great asset. I don't recommend the store for Big & Tall sizes for rest of the sizes I saw good collection. Thankyou! read more

Horrible place to shop. I bought a suit that didn't fit and tried to bring it back twice. The first time, the suit had no tags on it, all the cashier did was scan the receipt. I didn't have the physical card because I lost it in New York on a trip and I live in North Carolina. So I ordered a new card and came back the next week and they wouldn't take the suit back because I they didn't have tags on them. Ultimately, they just didn't want the suit back. The first time I came in, I had no tags on the suit and the manager was RIGHT THERE watching the transaction because we called him to see if we could use Apple Pay for a return. This place sucks. I'm trying to post more positive reviews as I have received a couple messages lately saying I'm too negative, but I could not let this one go. I was shopping in the Macy's Woman plus size department around 11:30am on Monday, December 5. As usual in a department store the plus size department is shoved all the way in the back darkest and most depressing corner of the store. It was disorganized and messy. I saw two ladies stocking the floor in plus and petite and after 10-15 minutes of browsing one of them deigned to at least acknowledge me. All of this is pretty average in my experience and I would have left and not reviewed at all, except i decided to try a couple of items on. The closest dressing room was in petites. I noticed as I walked up to the dressing room area that the carpet could use a good vacuum, but looked past it and headed to the one open dressing room (of only two dressing rooms for, presumably, all of Plus and Petites). The dressing room was disgusting. The floor was covered with piles of dust and shed hair. I can't believe they expect people to take of their shoes and clothes to try on items for purchase in that room. It has certainly been weeks since anyone swept or vacuumed (which was something done nightly when I worked retail). I dropped my items and walked out (which went completely unnoticed because there were no employees in sight. I walked just a little ways down the mall and found Lane. Bryant where I was greeted promptly and with a smile and I enjoyed a boutique shopping experience. I usually shop at the Macy's in Lenox Square in Atlanta and while it's still in the basement, it is always much better organized, staffed, and clean. read more

I found a suit here that worked out perfectly for a variety of reasons, but they couldn't do the alterations for me in a timely manner. That was okay, Hakky's took good care of me. Because of the struggles I've had with my hands for the past year I asked a store clerk if they had any dress slacks with elastic waist bands, and he didn't have a clue what I was talking about. I didn't really expect them to have any, I just thought I'd ask and see if they could recommend any place. Generally, I don't like Macy's unless I'm suit shopping. I went to Macy's back in March for some shoes before the corona virus shut everything down. The shoes I wanted were going to be on sale so the young lady had them presale purchased and sent to me. When the shoes arrived I was shocked to see that the shoes I tried on and okayed weren't the ones sent to me, I was sent the floor displays instead. I wanted to return them or at least get something additional taken off considering the fact that they're worn. Since I had them shipped to me from the store Ive been advised I have to go to the store and get a price adjustment or a return. Since I live over an hour away from the nearest Macy's, I reached out to online support and they can't help either. I've been told at this point that I'm stuck with these shoes, honestly I can understand not having all the answers during the pandemic but really? Macy's is just ok for shopping for me. Typically they have a lot of sales but the only downside is that you can't use coupons on most sale items. I usually do all my shopping with them online but this particular visit I had the items shipped to the store because I needed them sooner than later. I noticed a lot of areas did not have an employee ready to help locate items or to check out. I ended up performing all my transactions at the customer service desk/return center. Yesterday was my first visit to this Macy's. I'm not sure that I've ever really spent time in a Macy's at all really though. I'm not much for department stores, but this Macy's gave me a good experience. I entered the store with a mission to find some nice business casual clothing and was happily surprised when a girl handed me a 25% coupon. Store wide sale was going on! I wandered around all the women's sections. The departments within the women's section are organized fairly well and the displays are appealing. Their clearance and sale items don't really seem to have much of a semblance in terms of being all together or even arranged accurately in the sizing. This made the process of sorting through regular and sale items a bit tedious. When I asked a sales associate, Tanya, for assistance, she was very compassionate and helpful. I appreciated her feedback in identifying pricing as well as helping me find some shirts. Though I did not end up purchasing any shirts, it was nice that she could understand the look I was going for and direct me to an area that might have those kinds of items. Sadly, the jeans I bought ended up not fitting as well as I'd like. However, I didn't realize that until I sat down in my home office desk today. Thankfully, I could change quickly so that they were in a condition appropriate for returning this afternoon. I was allowed to return the jeans to the men's department easily. Because part of my purchase (as in like $6...) was with a gift card, they could only return half to my debit card and the rest had to go to a gift card. Not too pleased about it because I don't usually shop at Macy's, but it is what it is. The prices in Macy's are generally a little on the pricey side, in my opinion, but I'm impressed with the customer service and that they seem to have plenty of sales going on regularly. read more

I'm a big fan of Macy's and it is my go to for a lot of designer items as I can usually get them at a pretty good discount when on sale, but the location at Crabtree is seriously lacking in customer service. My latest visit led me to the shoe department. I knew I wanted the new Michael Kors flats and so I went right to them. The shoe salesman saw me a few times while helping another lady and did not come over. I get that, but then I took a couple of samples and walked around with them wanting to try on my size. After walking around with the samples in my hand, making eye contact several times, AFTER he had finished with his customer, he continued to just straighten the shoes near his counter. I finally walked over to the counter and he walked to the back. I placed the sample shoes on the counter, promptly walked out of Macy's, into the mall and down to the Michael Kors store. I bought the two pairs of shoes, paid more for them, but was treated like a queen during the experience. When I walked back into Macy's to leave the mall, I perused through other departments and only found associates chatting with each other and no one offering assistance. My experience with this location is just great. I first bought some underwear from the men's department and asked the lady behind the counter where could I get bras for my wife. She told me she would show me and she escorted me to the area where bras were being sold. The lady in this department spent about 45 minutes with me as I had absolutely no idea when I was doing. A couple weeks ago, my fiancee and I went to the Macy's at Southpoint to start our registry and left without starting. The home section was small and there were no sales associates around to help us get started. After researching other local Macy's, we decided to try Crabtree last night and we're so glad we did. Mary worked in the bridal consultant area and was so thrilled we came into the store. She gave us a little bag of goodies, a snack to tie us over, and a full tour of the home goods section. She gave us tips on the types of things to watch out for (avoid the red table, check out the black signs), brands to avoid, the most popular items, etc. She tracked down tags for items if we didn't see the color we wanted on the floor, gave advice on quantities or styles, and joked around with us. Honestly, registering has been making me crazy for the last month. After trying to decide where to register, we finally went to another high- end specialty store and were treated kind of rude. I was dreading this, and just wanted to get it over with, but Mary really made the evening so enjoyable and helped us get a solid start. Beyond helping us register, her kindness and exceptional customer service really just gave us a positive boost in the ever stressful event of a planning a wedding. read more

This is hands down the filthiest Macy's I have ever been in. I have visited twice over the holiday season and the floors are disgusting. Dried leaves and trash everywhere, not just by the door, and the areas with carpeting desperately need to be thoroughly cleaned or replaced. It was painfully obvious that in over a week no one even attempted to clean the floors.
