For this visit I only used the order in app & drive up option. I love how convenient that option is. I order in the app, let them know when I'm on the way, and when I get there enter the parking spot number. The drive up service has the option to add-on order Starbucks with your pick up order. How cool is that! I've used this service/option several times and I've never had items I selected not being available. I love the drive up option because it allows me to save time without browsing through the store and standing in long lines. I will definitely keep using it! read more

The Wake Forest Target is generally a good Target store to shop. It has a grocery side and a retail side. I come here when I am at the pharmacy anyway so it is very easy to pick up some things that I might need to skip the grocery store trip. The prices are good for most items and the aisles are easy to fit two carts down. Checking out can be an issue as there are just one of two cash registers open if you don't use self checkout. But with my bag from the pharmacy that sometimes causes issues in the self checkout so I will wait for a register. Service is friendly so just give yourself some time to checkout. read more

Continuing to explore the Triangle area I ventured out to check out this Target. It had been a few years since I visited but I remember great finds here. Very clean store and helpful Target representatives assisted when I asked for help. The multi-packs of earrings had missing pairs. This area needs to be replenished. 8/19/21: It was my first time here. They are renovating inside, but the store was neat and organized anyway. They have self-checkout, groceries, and Starbucks inside. They have a lot of neat items and cool decor. It was very bright & made me want to stay there longer. I was able to easily find what I needed. The staff didn't speak though, which was weird. I checked myself out because it was quicker & I'd definitely shop here again. read more

As I get my bearings of Wake Forest/Raleigh area and look for furniture for our new home, I stumbled upon the one story Target (I honestly haven't been inside a one-story Target in probably a decade, so I was thrilled to step back in time again-not saying this in a negative way in the slightest...sometimes you just miss things the way they were). This target is clean and bright, like any Target location. It was well stocked and organized well. But why did I rate this Target a solid 5 stars? A FLIPPING FULL GROCERY STORE IS INSIDE!! Not just the regular Target grocery area like every location has but this is bigger! It has a bakery, meat section, alcohol section, produce section...it goes on an on! It's so big that I didn't even realize that there was a Starbucks in this Target. The prices are decent, too! Target, you've done it again! You've amazed me. read more

I normally don't leave reviews for anything, but today i went in search of a skin care product & the ladies in that section were stocking and unboxing a shipment they had just got. I asked if they knew where the product i was searching for was & they proceeded to open and go through every box to check and see if they had it so I wouldn't have to make a second trip to the store later. It's not huge gesture but just shows how above and beyond these workers go to make customers happy. Also I've been going to Target Optical at this location for years & Dr. McBrien and the kind staff working in that office are always very thorough, helpful and super kind. I am always greeted with a smile and common courtesy. Sherryl expertise on how to put together a stellar outfit from head to toe is pure genius for the full figure woman of today. When we first moved to wake forest in 2011, I LOVED this target. In recent years, the quality has just gone down. There have been multiple times, I have not been able to find what I was looking for. These would be things advertised as cartwheel deals or pretty basic items. The baby section is especially disappointing. You think target would have capitalized on the closing of babies r us but they did not. Again, there were items I could not find or if they did have an item, there might have only been one to choose from. I ended up ordering most of the items I needed for my baby from amazon. Today I walked through the shoe section and it was completely trashed. Almost every box was open or partly open, shoes were hanging out, etc. I'm guessing they don't have enough people working to have someone managing each section. My biggest complaint, though, is with the customer service. Used to you could expect better service than Walmart but that is no longer true. I will say there was a nice lady working in a grocery aisle that had a friendly conversation with me but that's an exception to what's normal. One day I went in at about 8.5 months pregnant with my 4 year old and when I started putting my items up to be checked out, I realized that something had fell out of the bottom of my cart. I told the cashier and she literally just looked at me like "what do you want me to do?" She never offered to call someone to go get me a replacement or anything helpful. So I had to get out of line and go get another one myself across the store. Then because she had already rang up my other items I had to go back to that same line and wait for about two or three other customers to check out. Today I was there with my now three-month-old and my four-year-old. I was wearing the baby while my older daughter was in the cart. The store was not busy and I was clearly struggling to get my groceries onto the belt and then get the bagged groceries back into my cart. Another worker was standing at the end of the register looking through a binder and talking to the cashier about who was working where and what time people came in. I feel like a better use of her time could've been seeing that I needed help and helping me load my groceries into my cart. In a similar situation at Publix, they not only help put the groceries in the cart but also help you get them out to your car. read more

So - I love Target, but I'm super unimpressed with the remodel. Why is the holiday section in the back of the store??? And when I wanted to buy Christmas candy it was on the aisle next to pet food. I do NOT want to smell dog food when I'm shopping for M&Ms and Reece's cups! Disgusting! Also, while shopping for holiday decorations, the entire section was super messy. Why did Target pay all this money to remodel the store, then allow it to get trashed?? A sales associated should be stationed in this section at all times. Another why.....why is there only one self check-out area now? There used to be two - one on each end of the row of registers. This new configuration is inconvenient for people who don't go to the food side of the store. Call me old, but I just want a basic target, where I can buy the basics. I love Target and I frequently suffer from "came in to get milk and $234 later..." syndrome :) The ONLY reason I am giving this location two stars is the pharmacy. Since becoming CVS, my meds have doubled in price. I understand drug prices fluctuate some what so I'll forgive that. The bigger issue is that THREE times, yes THREE, the pharmacy has only given me 30 pills instead of 60 as prescribed. They charged me 60 count price and filled it incorrectly THREE times! I had to call each time and to complain. I got zero sympathy, zero apology, and was told to "come back up to get the remainder". Gee, thanks. I just left but yeah I'll drive back out to get my pills that YOU FORGOT. I've since transferred all of my prescriptions to a different pharmacy. Lousy customer service lost this customer. Target, I love ya. Your pharmacy sucks and your pharmacy employees (at this location) aren't very careful. read more

So pissed right now for wasting my time and gas. Knightdale NC location said they have limited stock of XBOX series X in everywhere else said out of stock. We tried because they were not answering the phone (I'm sure they were busy) We drive and they said they did not have any in stock. Refreshed app and not wake forest NC says in stock and not eligible for order pickup so you cant order online. Called on the way to them and someone picked up and hung up the phone. We walk in and it still says in stock but two managers first one cut me off with an attitude. I talked to another manager Kevin and he said it was a glitch on the website they did not have any. I had him go to app and still says in stock. Then he said nothing he can do about it he not in IT. read more

Target is a Target, for the most part. I do love my Wake Forest Target because it is convenient, and has a great selection. It has the full grocery side so if you want to pay more for groceries, you can most certainly shop there for those needs. I do grab a few grocer items here and there when I need some things and happen to be in Target. It should also be noted that the Starbuck's inside the store has received lots of business from me. Not only for drinks and coffee, but for giftcards. I do love that there is a Sbux inside my Target. My beef: There have been several times where I have found something, either decor, clothing, accessories and they do not have the color or style I want. I have been able to usually find more options at the Triangle Town Center Target, so that is sort of a pain, but nothing serious. Another issue I have with this Target is that I have run into several occasions where the staff is chatting, and I ask for help, and they have seemed annoyed by be asking. I will say that consistently, the electronics department have been helpful, always wanting to be of service, and are knowledgeable. It is often as if they are a different store. Lastly, my issue, along with many stores that have aisles, is that they will not open other aisles when there are long lines. On occasion they have opened up aisles, but very rarely. I feel that I spend most of my time at Target waiting in line, rather than shopping. Being a Target lover, it is difficult to have beef, and/or rate them lower than 4-5 stars but hey, it is what it is. read more

The main reason I like Target over Wal-mart beside for everyone at Target is human, is the fact that all the shelf's are lined up nice and neat. Having lived and visited dozens of states in this country I can safely say I've visited my fair share of Targets in my day. That being said, there is something very special about this particular target -- it's almost like, one half (the electronic side) is your generic Target store and the other half (the "SUPER" half) is what heaven must be like. It's pretty much a sure thing if you see me walk in to this store I will wander aimlessly for hours and easily drop $200 on things I don't really need (dog sized snuggies) or things I had no idea that I actually needed (long live the Pedi-Egg!) I want to give a shout out to Marianne on the Mgmt team at Target. Back in late October my niece called early one morning for a Christmas item for her daughter that showed in stock on the Target App. The team member was new and did not know that Target doesn't hold items that are considered to be "HOT ITEMS" so she told my niece she would hold the item for 24 hours. My niece lives in Greenville. I live in Wake Forest, so I went to pick it up... it was already sold when I got there. I was upset because I knew my niece and her daughter would be disappointed. I asked for a Manager and Marianne went the extra mile to correct the problem. She took my name, email and phone number. She told me she didn't want this to be a bad customer experience and that she was super sorry this had happened. Today the item finally came in. Marianne called me and I went to get it. She could have blown me off, but she didn't! She was true to her word! Thank you Marianne for making a 5 year old super happy this year! read more

The Target of yesterday is long gone! No longer are there multiple cash registers open and no longer is management front and center to handle any issues that may arise. When you do speak to a manager they don't seem to care like they used too. I'm so disappointed. All of the things that made Target great are now the things that make it awful! Most annoyingly, the shelves are never stocked!! I have gone in to get an item, they would be out(we're talking cat food, cheese, pasta sauce...the basics) and 4 or 5 days later, these same items were still out. This target has a lot in stock, more than the one I usually go to. Associate attending me at the cashier was very friendly. I had to check a gift card deal after check-out that the cashier was not able to process, and the an associate on the was very helpful. Customer care was able to help me out without trouble. The place is very clean and bright. I like the grocery section, it has lots of options. The produce was fresh. I will go back to this target again. read more

L-O-V-E me some Target! My husband and I usually make about three trips a week to this Target in WF - its right down the street from the house, and ohhh so convenient! Recently they have been sending out mailers with grocery coupons, and other coupons for $5 off a $50 purchase etc. We headed out last night to pick up prescriptions and make fast use of the couponed items that were on sale this week. They really are having some unreal deals! Strawberries (99 cents after coupon), watermelon ($1.99 after coupon), baked beans (18 cents after coupon) etc. Faboo, and who could not use a little extra savings? Best thing recently is the great staff at the Pharmacy counter. Everyone recognizes me and quickly runs to grab my prescriptions without even having to verify my name - Great Customer Service! They have everything you could ever want from latest trendy fashions, home decor, sporting goods, electronics, toiletries, and all your grocery needs - without the long unattended lines you will find at the local Wal*Mart. I want to love this store because it is not Walmart and because it is in a good location however if you are in a hurry this would not be a good choice. It is a huge store with the least amount of store clerks and yes they have a lovely self checkout that always has problems and requires manual intervention by a team member. In terms of customer service this place just like Walmart, long lines and hardly a clerk in site and a million closed registers. What would be great and likely increase customer traffic, staff the registers so that people can be waited on and leave. It is very sad such a nice big store and no help. read more

Lately I've been frustrated and disappointed with this Target. Far too many items are not stocked on the shelves. Certain food items (we saw that this Target had Beyond Burger patties) are shown as being in stock when in fact there was not even a slot for them. The cosmetic section seems to be perpetually under stocked. I don't understand it. Ever since the remodel this Target seems to have only a fraction on the shelves that it used to. Even though it's not that far from me I'd rather go to a Target twice the distance away because at least I won't have wasted my time. read more

I LOVE Target. It's my go-to store for most things. The Wake Forest store is the nearest one to us; so, we frequent this location often. I will say it's one of the cleaner, more organized Target stores that I've been in (and I've been in many). Every time we come to the store, we definitely leave with more than we went in for. My only complaint is that I feel we tend to struggle to find produce in stock at this store. Any time we've gone, they're pretty low/completely out of produce items. It makes it difficult for us to finish our grocery shopping since we tend to get what we can there (to use the 5% off) and then we have to go to another store to get what wasn't available. We've tried going different days, too. Maybe it's just our luck! Also, for Target overall, I adore their new clothing line A New Day! I just wish the cost of the clothing was a little more reasonable. Some of the sweaters, jackets, etc. (when they're not on sale) are a little pricey. I'd buy more of their clothing if they offered better sales or lowered the price a bit. read more

This store is constantly understocked. The bullseye bin is always picked over, messy and empty. The manager said it's because they don't have dedicated staff that fills it like the Triangle Town Cntr location. That location always has filled shelves. The clothes area for ladies has a strange set up that has no flow. The school/office supply area is so bare and small. Ladies shoes has empty shoe boxes everywhere. All the shoes are mixed up, no rhyme or reason to finding a sandal or a boot. What was wrong with the previous way the shoes were? It was too frustrating to look for my size since the style I wanted was in 3 aisles. This store wastes so much space with special marketing area that it seems their stock shrunk at least 50% since the remodel. The laundry detergent takes up 2 aisles..more waste. Just make 1 full aisle. Why does Mens soap need to be separated from other soap. The other soap does not say women's. It is so frustrating to find anything with the aisles now half the size that I give up. Walmart is right down the road and I get in and put faster because the set up makes sense. read more

As for Target stores in the area, this is not the worst, but definitely far from the best. The Brier Creek location appears to have a top notch store manager as that place is spotless all the time, so is the Cary location off hwy 55. However, Wake Forest must be a location for new managers as there is many things overlooked at times. See photo of the pharmacy bathroom on a Saturday afternoon. Apparently Target is discouraging anyone from using the non-gender handicap bathroom with the soap dispenser on the floor and no one checking the bathroom. The lock didn't work either...had to take my child to the front bathrooms that are just as dirty, but did have soap. Guess good help is hard to find. It's a pretty typical Target, and the cashiers are normally friendly enough and fun to talk to if you're one of those people who treats them like human beings (because they are, btw). The lines can sometimes get really long because they're understaffed, but I blame management/corporate for that, not the cashiers themselves. They're also a little slow to put out stock in the mornings, especially new releases. I've had to ask for new movie titles a few times because they're not out on the shelves yet the morning of the release. Overall, though, a good place to shop. read more
