To find that the store supports local businesses was a bonus, always try to shop local and support when I can. The issue was the 3 employees behind the counter making snide remarks about people shopping in the store and criticizing our purchases. Sorry but I don't think what I purchased was ugly. I can definitely find other places to support locally. As a business owner myself it was a bummer to not feel welcome and appreciated for spending money in the store, but glad we still purchased our items, because we think they are great.

Also they had a couple people there in person doing the business ( one did jewelry and I forgot what the other one was). The staff at the register were friendly as well. Onto the store itself - very organized, very clean and a lot of selection...but, not much that I would consider unique or dynamic. Prices seemed all over the board. I saw some items that were a steal as others I was surprised at the price point. Noticed at least four employees, none greeted me. After leaving a close by store that had amazing customer service, the lack of employee interaction with customers was really obvious. Not sure if Kirkland's is big on customer service or greeting people - if they are, they flopped. If not, then well done! Three stars for being an average home decor place. Honestly, a lot of what I saw, I could find elsewhere locally or on Etsy.

Really though, we bought at least a dozen incredible pieces plus accessories and they delivered the furniture the next day. We were able to accomplish so much within a short amount of time that could have taken us months and months. I was thrilled to have furnished our house with items from our past while incorporating decor and pieces true to this area as well. Since the first visit, we have been back several times and always find way more than expected. It is hard not to buy everything. Reasonable prices and quality items - lots of variety. We were able to really maximize a small space and I went from a rather large kitchen in my previous house to a smaller one but I actually love my smaller kitchen better now because a) I have a gas stove which is easier to cook on, b) I have granite and a beautiful backsplash that is very upscale looking and c) I have a HUGE amount of counter space for such a small kitchen and I can do baking projects and other things on it very easily. Also with the drawers and lazy susan corner cabinets I find that most of my stuff fits fine and even though I had to get rid of some stuff, it fits everything I need. Overall I am very very satisfied with how hard Kathy worked on my floorplan and for a reasonable price. She dealt with some issues with the contractors like a complete pro. Any time you're remodeling there are always going to be issues that crop up, but the importance is how they get solved and I am so happy I had Kathy on my side, and I plan to use her again in the future.
