Usually there is mix matched furniture, clothes on the ground, half opened food, and broken ceramics and pottery but not here. The store was clean and well organized, maybe it was because it was a newer store? Either way I walked in to "look" and walked out with two very comfortable stools with backs and a giant pot. Totally met my expectations. The line went fast and the cashier was very pleasant. She was very knowledgeable about the return policy as well. There is plenty of parking as this is in a parking lot strip mall. I shall be back!

I had a very upsetting experience at this location today. I came in to return two bottles of…read moreperfume that were brand new, unopened, and completely full. I had both receipts and the original tags. Despite that, a woman who I believe was a shift leader or manager approached the associate who was helping me and began inspecting the items in a way that felt unnecessary, accusatory, and frankly, demeaning. Mind you, the associate did not ask for her assistance and was in the middle of processing my return without any issues. I shop at this Marshall's weekly and spend a lot of money here. I have never had any issues with returns before, so to be treated like I was doing something wrong was completely out of line. The way I was looked at and spoken to made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and embarrassed in front of other customers. It felt like I was being racially profiled, and that is absolutely unacceptable. There was no reason for the scrutiny I received, especially when I followed every policy and brought the items back in perfect condition. Marshall's needs to take a serious look at how certain staff members interact with loyal customers and make sure everyone is treated with respect, regardless of their race or background. This experience was disappointing and embarrassing. From now on, I'll take my Black dollars elsewhere.

On top of that, the line was super long and there were only like 2 cashiers. That reminded me too much of Walmart (another place I don't like going - lol). By the time you dig through the piles and fine some cute things you may like, you have to stand in line for 20 minutes just to check out with cashiers who aren't friendly. That doesn't work for me, so I most likely won't be back to this location.

The beauty area is pretty sloppy - a few items broken and leaking on other products. Some of the clothing racks are pretty messy as well. One thing that always drives me nuts about TJ Maxx is how they assume everyone is there to steal... the purses are all chained together and you have to get an employee to undo them to even look at one. Also, the same treatment at the fitting rooms...very rigid about number of items, etc. I guess they have a huge theft problem? Anyway, it's an okay store. I don't go out of my way to visit here, just stop in if I'm over in that shopping area and have a few minutes. Definitely not worth making an extra trip.

For instance, I needed a formal black tie suit and a casual jacket outfit for a gala in July. The employee Javi was personable and knowledgeable, helping me put together colors, textures, et. al. And yet, a place of this obvious capability did not have a black shirt in my size. I only wear 17.5 by 34. A black shirt. This was a shirt I promptly and effortlessly purchased at Brooks Brothers later on. But Jos couldn't handle it? A simple black shirt? And then, they had to order a white shirt for me because they didn't have one of those either. A simple white shirt? Seriously? That's embarrassing. I am presently waiting a couple weeks for all alterations (some of which they were late with) and that one shirt to come in. Overall, it was a fine experience, leaving me with a great ensemble, but when they show their shortcomings, those shortcomings do shine. A.
