The store offers weekly shoe donations and customers can obtain 50 pts. I always forget about this. I learned today that DSW also offers water proofing services for a charge. This is perfect for suede or Uggs. A great service I'm glad I now know about. The staff here are extremely pleasant, helpful and leave a lasting impression after each visit. Willing and capable of fixing any and everything from the cheap pair of shoes that you love and wearout often, to the really expensive, intricate pair that you might be nervous to trust someone with repairing. I stumbled upon Rack Room while searching for a new pair of athletic shoes. They carry a nice selection of New Balance and Nike. They also have a sweet daily BOGO deal where you can always score two pairs of shoes. I needed to return a pair that didn't fit me and Briar Creek is closest to home. They staff member helped quickly with my return and issued me a store credit gift card. I purchased a leopard print Alta pair of Nike which is there Air Force 1 style with a chunky platform. This location has a lot of sizes and selection for sneakers but not the high end brands I need for dressy shoes and sandals. I will be back again for athletic summer footwear.

"Rough-looking" is a massive understatement for the condition of my boots, so I went to Ealdwine for some shoe polish, and saw that the product had changed quite a bit over the past few years. I had a few questions about leather conditioner, how much polish to use, etc. (stuff like that), and Mr. Gray took the time to show me everything, on my boots at that. The difference is tremendous, and I'm not JUST talking about how my boots look now. For a business owner to take time out of his day, literally get his hands dirty, and go to such lengths for a customer who might come to Raleigh every five years or so... It speaks volumes about Mr. Gray as a person and business owner. I'm now more informed, equipped with some really good polish, and won't feel so embarrassed about wearing beat-up boots with a suit. Another cool thing, assuming most will be looking/shopping for more than shoe polish, the store's beautifully designed, and chockablock with some of the finest in men's clothing and beautiful footwear. Mr. Gray personally helped with the design in many of the latter (Alden's handmade in Massachusetts), so I definitely feel like I was in good hands, and had definitely come to the right place.
