I went to Saks, saw a pair of shoes that I liked. They didn't have my size which they offered offered to order them for me and that I will get an email once they're in got the email went to the store. They didn't have them. The shoes were shipped to a different location that they'll have them by Friday winter Friday again they still didn't have them was told they'll have them Monday And they still don't they're horrible. If you're a Saks Fifth shopper, this place will be a disappointment . I love shopping at the Saks in Florida at Dadeland mall. I usually go once a year on business and I get great service. This location I visit regularly and every time I walk in, the sales staff just stare as if I'm not a customer. They never give samples, they never have anything new, they rarely have anything. It's a waste of a department store. And once I tried to return perfume and the manager told me they don't accept returns, which is untrue because I've purchased and returned perfumes before at Saks in Dadeland mall in FL. read more

They have many amazing brands that they carry. This location sits inside of Triangle Towne. Surprised that they are still in this mall as the traffic isn't the best here. Honestly i found Saks to be worth the drive so I make my way over to Triangle to shop at Saks. One of my favs about this location is they do mens custom suits! Tailored to YOU! They also have a slamming women department. As you already know, be prepared to spend some money. Saks is NOT cheap. I've been on several occasions and the staff is always willing to help. No judgement zone as they don't size you up wondering if your a spender or not (some stores do that). read more

My parents bought me a $500 Christian Dior Visor for a gift and they did not know that the item should have come with a protective pouch and authenticity card. Trying to resolved this issue with this Saks location has been horrible. The manager in the handbags department would not even speak to me and only sent the message through another associate that "they did not have a solution". It is extremely bad customer service to not even attempt to speak with the customer, especially when one has spent this amount of money. I will not be shopping at this location and my parents will Never be back. After many calls, I only received courtesy and help from one associate in the shoes department, Sholanda. They should take some notes from her because she was the only positive experience I had. I am so disappointed and I feel that my older parents were taken advantage of in this case, so I will certainly be writing a letter to corporate about how poor and unsatisfactory this experience was. I hope this does not reflect the other departments, however, I am less than impressed with the handbags department, I'm embarrassed honestly that they treat customers who Spend this type of money like this. read more

I called Saks the day I received my order. One of the items was a dress that was described as being 100% silk. When I received the item it was not as advertised and in fact 100% polyester. I called customer service on 6/17 and they agreed to give me a price adjustment of 20%. I had to call back 2 weeks later because they never gave me my credit. I spent 40 minutes on the phone with customer service, I sent them a picture of the dress and the tag inside showing it was not as advertised. Still have not received my credit for over 3 weeks and upon inspection of the dress more closely there are stains throughout the dress and it was clearly worn and returned. read more

The prices are unnecessarily high. We don't have Bloomingdales in this area; therefore, Sak's will have to do. They took out the Louis Vitton section. The store looked a bit dry and empty. After trying on several dresses in evening wear, I wanted to purchase one of them. However, I needed the dress in a different size. I ordered it in the store, not online, with the help of one of their sales associates on a Wednesday to be overnighted to my home. On Saturday I am still waiting for the dress. I called the store and the girl who helped me had not even located the dress. I asked when I might expect to hear from her as to whether or not she could even get the dress and I was told Tuesday. That would be almost a whole week after I had placed the order. When was Saks planning to update me on the status of my "overnight" order? I went ahead, called somewhere else, ordered the dress myself and am having it shipped overnight. What a waste of time with the run around from Saks. I also recently purchased evening wear from Neiman Marcus. The sales associate at NM located the dress I needed in my size at a different store in a different state while I was standing there and it arrived at my home within 2 days. She wanted to make sure the dress was ordered before the 2 that were available were gone. So my question would be... Why does it take Saks so long to locate a dress for a customer that is in their system? Will not go back. read more

I'm bumping this up because I'm a woman with a shopping addiction. I know nothing of the men's dept. but the women's clothing is what you'd expect from Saks, high quality and worth every penny. Of all the high end stores, Saks and Barneys are my absolute favorites. Saks has all the brands that a girl with fashionable tastes could want - DVF, Splendid, Rebecca Taylor, Theory, BCBG, LaRoK, Nanette Lapore and more. I usually hang around the contemporary section on the first floor but the lingerie section on the 2nd floor rivals the lingerie boutiques in bigger cities like San Francisco. The purse and accessories section is a treat! Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Rebecca Minkoff, and the list goes on. The buyer for this Saks has done a great job selecting clothing brands for the Triangle market at competitive price points. -1 star for the shoe section which is a disappointment. Sure Louboutins and Choos are great but the if you select styles that only 40+ year old women would wear, where's the fun in that for me and the rest of the 20-something yr old women here?? The selection is way too conservative, pumps I'd wear to work if I worked at IBM. Verdict: I visit Saks at least twice a month to see what they have there. As one of the few high end department stores in the Triangle, I recommend you do the same if you're a fashionable Triangle-ite! read more

Sak's is a place where shopping is an experience. It is not somewhere you just happen to walk into and peruse through hoping to find a deal or a sale. Sak's is somewhere you walk into for luxury items, and/or a luxury experience. There are a few things I use the Raleigh Sak's for: cosmetics, handbags, and designer goods that I am unable to find anywhere else. Since Raleigh is not known for being the designer shopping hub of anywhere, there are some items that I want and order online, or while in a larger city, but on occasion, I can actually go into Sak's and get what I want in a larger city shopping. While the Raleigh Sak's is smaller than larger city Sak's in other locations, it does not disappoint. The staff is very knowledgeable about their department, and can help you without feeling as though you are being oversold. This Sak's also includes a Louis Vuitton boutique inside. I have used the cosmetic counter mostly at Sak's. The staff always seem to be "in the know" of new make-up trends and I always feel like I am getting great quality. Sak's is a true example that you do get what you pay for and in some aspects of life, this truly does matter. read more

My first trek to Saks was incredibly overwhelming, but also left me somewhat awestruck. I'm a lover of fashion. I'm a lover of shopping. I also love modeling. Saks is a dream haven for a girl like me, except for the prices. With such designers as Saks carries, it's expected to be beyond what you're usually expecting to spend. I walked in from the outside to stare at Burberry and Versace for men and then veered to the right to the contemporary women's section. Kate Spade. Diane von Furstenberg. BCBG. Hello... Then I went upstairs. Jimmy Choo's. Louboutins. Michael Kors. Marc Jabos. Oh what fine gentlemen you are. I tried on some Elie and marveled at how sophisticated even the dressing rooms were. Soft tan carpeting and good-sized mirrors for trying on these fashionable sophisticated pieces. Back downstairs...Saturday I was getting my makeup done for a Saks fashion show. All around me was Laura Mercier, Chanel, Bobbi Brown...and these makeup artists know what they're doing. They move swiftly and with precision to get you looking your best -- runway show or street stylin' glam. Their clerks -- or stylists -- know their stuff and also move quickly to get you just what you want and make sure you look your best. Quite the royal treatment, in my book. All I'd ever experienced of Saks before was the outlet mall in my hometown, but this deparatement store well, left me quite impressed. read more

I chose to Shop with the Staff from Raleigh, NC (Shoes & Handbags department) for the wonderful customer service they provided to me, instead of the one located in NY. If you want to purchase shoes/bags, def. go see Micka (sales associate) and Chei (manager), and give them a huge hello from me. Employees are super helpful and friendly here. I went to the fragrance section to purchase Kilian, "Good Girl Gone Bad" and received customer service from Lisa. I ordered my fragrance and we begin talking about the price and I clarified that this was the fragrance I wanted. Lisa proceeded to get the fragrance and place items in my bag. I paid for the items and left the store. At home when I opened the package, Lisa had placed the wrong fragrance by Kilian, "Don't Be Shy" in my bag. I called the store and spoke with Jack. I asked if Lisa was working and she was. I spoke with her and told her the mistake that she made. Lisa assured me that I could return the incorrect fragrance and she would give me extra fragrance because I had to drive at least 60 miles to and from Raleigh, NC. When I got to the store the next day, Lisa had left the item and I received the correct fragrance. Upon getting in my car and before I left the store, I opened the package and Lisa had placed three bottles of pure alcohol in three bottles (no fragrance) to correct her mistake. I returned to the store and alerted Jack and the Manager. I asked what was in the bottles and when Jack smelled the bottles, after rubbing it on his hand, he noticed that it was alcohol as well. I asked to speak with the Manager and asked her if I could get an additional Good Girl Gone Bad fragrance. The Manager told me that they were out of that fragrance but I could get something else. I told her that was the only fragrance that I like wearing. Again, the Manager told me that I could get another fragrance and I told her again that the only fragrance I was interested in was Good Girl Gone Bad. After going back and forth, I returned the item that I purchased. The Manager could not figure out how to credit my card and it took about 40 minutes to get my money back. I will not shop at Saks Fifth Avenue in Raleigh, NC again and I hope that Kilian pulls their products from the store. This was 100% bad service and Lisa does not pay attention to details. I had a Bobbi brown powder my mom bought me a few days before and I tried to return it for the same thing, just a different color. The sales girl would not let me, because I did not have my receipt! She tried to look it up in the system, but could not find it. It was a waste of my time! It was Bobbi brown, not even used and they could not exchange it for me. I also spent 150 bucks on Bobbi brown cosmetics there, the day before! I will not be returning to saks... It's a shame! read more

I have a few thoughts and recommendations. Do not enter Saks expecting a "Belk" or even "Macy's" experience. You will pay for the quality of the product you are purchasing. The store is uncluttered, comfortable, and clean. Of course, I would love more selection but I am grateful I do not have to travel to the larger cities to shop or receive the service or quality I expect. A salesperson will assist you but will not push you to purchase. Some may interpret that as pretentious, but I enjoy the professional, courteous demeanor. Also, it helps if you develop relationships with employee's. I highly recommend the Men's Department (The Anthony's), Louis Vuitton (The manager is amazing), and the Creed and La Mer representatives. There is an older gentleman in the Women's Shoe Department who is very helpful as well. My wife and I appreciate that they remember us by name, know our shopping style and taste, and assist us quickly if there is a problem. Normally I would give Sak's more stars... BUT... their men's selection in Raleigh is pathetic. I might as well be shopping at Brook's Brothers. Their shoe selection is LIMITED. The men's department shrunk (young women's took over). Diminishing their selection in denim and "active wear" or "trendy clothes". They are left with a large section of tailored men's clothes (suits and ties). Oh, did I see Tommy Bahama there? The service is also lame because the Triangle Town Center Mall is sub-par. Sears and Belk are the other anchors. None of the fun and helpful people stay at the store since they are commission based sales employees and cannot clientele Sears and Belk customers and make a living. Recent example: When shopping for dresses, the two sales ladies on the floor could not be bothered to check on me or help me in any way. They just stood in the middle of the department and chatted. I was the only customer in the whole department! This type of thing has happened to me on more than one occasion, I'm done with this place. I have had 2 horrible experiences here in the last 3 months. I ordered shoes at Christmas that they never shipped because they were out of stock, I was never notified until I called to inquire 3 weeks later THEN they notified me they were out of stock. Then I ordered a purse, on the date I was supposed to receive it I called and they said my order was 'still processing'..... Again no notification or reason why a week has gone by and still no purse or even solid order. Ridiculously shitty communication and order processing system. read more

Same same.... I prefer Saks over Nordstrom. Different type of customer service. I'm not worried about purchasing something someone has worn or returned. Saks cater to a different type of customer. In summary, you get what you pay for. My sales person is Marks Lane and he is awesome and patient. He is not pushy and more importantly he will help you distinguish between wants and needs. I visited this place several times leading up to the Mother's Day weekend and finally settled down at Louis Vuitton. Purchased my wife a purse/handbag. Ordered a bag, put stuff in and did not like the sag! Brought it back had minor spot apparently one I didn't notice buying, that could be cleaned off if I would checked. Didn't use so didn't bother. They wouldn't let me exchange. I was within the exchange time. Paying that much for a handbag. Bought many from that store. I asked how do you know I didn't get a spot bag from the store it was shipped. Tarnished keys and they thought they was fine too. Well it doesn't stop here. I keep on going till I feel they lost my worth of my loss. Second, he said makes a great gift. Really??? Sorry. Karma. Would of been different if used. Any chance they didn't notice when it was sold to me? Keys all tarnished? That too I did too right? Doesn't that say something for their quality control and possibly it was a bag returned before the shipping of the bag from a different store. This is about the Louis Vuitton department only. Bought a handbag there a little over a month ago. Left my name and number to be contacted when the style handbag my daughter wanted for graduation arrived. Was told it would be in the next shipment, two weeks at most. Never heard anything. I called today, a little over a month later, and inquired if this item was in stock, a LV 30 monogram Speedy. I was told yes. Asked how many in stock and there are five! Why was I not notified? Disappointed in the LV dept. which was the only dept. @ Saks that had not disappointed me. The other areas I have been in particularly fragrances and cosmetics seem very pushy. read more
