So far, I cannot complain much. But…read more.. It's got a wide array of suits, shirts and so on, but there are definite imperfections. For instance, I needed a formal black tie suit and a casual jacket outfit for a gala in July. The employee Javi was personable and knowledgeable, helping me put together colors, textures, et. al. And yet, a place of this obvious capability did not have a black shirt in my size. I only wear 17.5 by 34. A black shirt. This was a shirt I promptly and effortlessly purchased at Brooks Brothers later on. But Jos couldn't handle it? A simple black shirt? And then, they had to order a white shirt for me because they didn't have one of those either. A simple white shirt? Seriously? That's embarrassing. I am presently waiting a couple weeks for all alterations (some of which they were late with) and that one shirt to come in. Overall, it was a fine experience, leaving me with a great ensemble, but when they show their shortcomings, those shortcomings do shine. A.

Very unprofessional experience at Jos. A. Bank. The staff…read moreacted like they didn't want to be there they were openly complaining about work and ignored customers for long periods. I stood waiting for assistance and was completely overlooked while employees talked among themselves. For a store that's supposed to specialize in professional clothing, the service was anything but professional. Definitely disappointing and not worth returning. The African American gentleman working there is a dick who just openly ignores you and pawns his work off onto other employees. Won't be returning

Forty years later, I am still a client. He has made custom suits, trousers, and tuxedos for me. I trust his judgement completely when it comes to dressing me in clothing that is both classic and stylish. The personal attention that Bruce gives you is unmatched. I feel as that I am paying for Bruce's expertise and good taste....and the clothing is just part of that. To this I have Liles to thank. Simply put, a better men's store in the state does not exist. Bruce, the visionary and owner, puts in the time and stays ahead of brand trends, stocking items I see nowhere else. I usually like to take my time when I'm there, and Alex, the gentleman I've known working there as long as I've been a patron, offers his insight and expertise to me more than anyone else, patiently anticipating what I'm looking for while stretching my boundaries beyond what I might normally try on. Nowhere else can I go shopping for clothes alone- their staff has a better eye for fit than I or anyone I else might drag along. The negative for some may be the price points. I simply put a budget on clothes for the year, rarely buy elsewhere, and make a point of buying top quality essentials here. For me there are no negatives. I wind up with fewer clothes that I wear often and truly enjoy. There may be comparable selection and quality in metropolitan areas, but no other store knows me by name. No other store knows my family by name. Go there.

I have been to Lush, Lego, Yankee Candle, and Bath and Body Works here. Every shop we've been in had great employees and the stores were always clean. The mall in general is clean and bright and there's a ton of stores to shop around in. Minerology used to have two other locations but they closed down and stayed with one main location at Crabtree, so I'll make the long drive for my favorite place. The staff there are super knowledgeable about the fossils and minerals. They are very friendly and kind people and will help you find something special to bring home. They also do live sales occasionally on their Instagram. Many of the rocks in my collection came from here. Though Crabtree is far and I'm not a fan of their parking, I will always come back as long as my favorite stores remains!

Long story below, but TL;DR: these guys are great!…read more It's a rough market out there for off-the-rack women's formalwear, unless you really like sweating it out in polyester. I have wanted a suit for a really long time, but... well. I have DDDs, am generally midsize everywhere else (12-14 size waist) and I'm 5'1" on a good day. Even women's blazers don't fit me. Slacks? Forget about it. I knew that getting custom suit locally was the only way to go--I couldn't find any reviews or pictures of Bunbury's work with women's suiting, but I figured it couldn't hurt to make an appointment. I had never owned or worn a suit before, so I had very little knowledge about what would work for me. Fortunately, at the first fitting, Rohit spent a full two hours patiently explaining different suit cuts, making recommendations on style and fit, and answering my many, many questions. Both the suit coat and waistcoat were absolutely PERFECT at the first fitting, which felt truly insane to me given my lifelong struggles with blazers. We ended up going through a few rounds of alterations on the shirt and pants, in no small part because of my own inexperience--I was discovering my own preferences for suiting as we worked through different options, and a lot of what I want out of a suit was a lot more in line with the conventions of men's formal suiting than women's--but Ro & co. had an insane level of patience and kept reworking everything until it was perfect. And as a total outsider to men's fashion, I never felt anything but safe, welcomed and respected in the Bunbury offices. Oh yeah, and the finished suit is amazing. Comfortable in all kinds of weather, a million hidden pockets, excellent range of motion... I've played a round of capoeira in the full getup without straining a single seam. By all accounts Bunbury is extremely on point with deadlines and alterations tend to be reliably completed within a week. In my case, the owners were hit with a truly Shakespearean tidal wave of once-in-a-lifetime delays beyond their control, and I was happy to slow down our alterations schedule in favor of their wedding clients because I didn't have any pressing deadlines to meet. As a thank-you, Bunbury ended up providing several tailored shirts for free, to the point where I'm honestly a little concerned that I'm tanking their bottom line. I have absolutely made out like a bandit from this experience. And even though I don't really attend formal events often enough to warrant it, I'm making room in my budget for their three for two suit deal in the future.

"Rough-looking" is a massive understatement for the condition of my boots, so I went to Ealdwine for some shoe polish, and saw that the product had changed quite a bit over the past few years. I had a few questions about leather conditioner, how much polish to use, etc. (stuff like that), and Mr. Gray took the time to show me everything, on my boots at that. The difference is tremendous, and I'm not JUST talking about how my boots look now. For a business owner to take time out of his day, literally get his hands dirty, and go to such lengths for a customer who might come to Raleigh every five years or so... It speaks volumes about Mr. Gray as a person and business owner. I'm now more informed, equipped with some really good polish, and won't feel so embarrassed about wearing beat-up boots with a suit. Another cool thing, assuming most will be looking/shopping for more than shoe polish, the store's beautifully designed, and chockablock with some of the finest in men's clothing and beautiful footwear. Mr. Gray personally helped with the design in many of the latter (Alden's handmade in Massachusetts), so I definitely feel like I was in good hands, and had definitely come to the right place.
