This is the one store that I can never walk out of empty handed. After a long exhausting search for shoes for my daughter's 5th grade promotion ceremony, we ended up at Marshall's. We found the perfect pair of pale blue block heels to match her dress for $24.99. Shoes everywhere else were either cheap or priced from $39.99- $70. For a 10 year old with a large size in shoes, I counted my blessings. I purchased swimwear earlier last month and found some sexy styles that are appropriate to wear anywhere with adequate coverage and support. All Under $40. This location for Marshall's is the one I shop in most. The employees are all very helpful and friendly, but two stand out. Letitia, who generally works on the floor, is wonderful. She always remembers me by name -- and I hear her also greet other customers likewise. She is knowledgeable of product on floor and a wealth of information. She is an AMAZING goodwill ambassador for Marshall's. She has been at that location for the last few years, and she is consistently awesome. Another employee, Jalynn, who was working at checkout today as cashier was really efficient at handling my return and was very personable. Her happy attitude was very appreciated. She concluded the transaction very quickly and had me on my way. And she was friendly to me, which as a Senior, I appreciated very much. read more

The white asset protection security guy left as I was about to leave the store. They live off of racial stereotypes. I could have been a suspect that was stealing and he's supposed to be doing his job. They need tougher security. read more

I live near this Marshall's and it always has great buys. They have tons of clearance so I was picking up items for my granddaughter. I do luv shopping and after raising 3 sons its fun shopping for a girl. I was not prepared for how nice the training bras available today are much more feminine and cute for the young ladies of the moment. Marshall's has great selections for everyone in ur life even ur pets. You can't go wrong here if ur like me you will probably spend more than you planned. read more

I've been to Marshall's a few times before. Clothes appear scattered and sometime the shelves are a mess in the Home Goods section. With that being said, I can usually find what I want and have picked up some good buys. I ran in to see if I could find a certain style blouse. I found 2 items I like and didn't have time to try them on. I got to the register and there was a long line. "Uck", I thought. Then as I'm checking in on Yelp, the line starts moving and there is a woman directing people to several cash registers - all numbered. I asked the cashier about the return policy and we just kept talking. Even though she was really busy she still took the time for niceties and to wish me a good day. I love Marshalls for all kinds of reasons. This one in particular is smaller than the ones I've been to but is packed with stuff. Can't say the same for their competitors next door. Prices are always good in Marshalls which is why I love it. Good brands, better prices. Bed sheets, house stuff, coats, and shoes are always something to look for here. Really bummed. This location is convenient but often unorganized or not great selection. I won't come back here after my last experience -- the woman working the dressing room wouldn't look at me and spoke under her breath - I couldn't figure out what she was trying to say or if I'd some how annoyed her. I had grabbed over 20 items to try on, so maybe that's annoying? In any event - I tried on my first 10 that were allowed, and left after that because I felt so unwelcome. Sorry Marshalls, I've been a life long fan until today. But now I won't be going back. I know I'm just a small person but I'll be sure to spread the word that you don't mind hiring people who don't care about making others feel welcomed. I'll just shop online elsewhere. read more

I always have a pleasurable shopping experience at Marshall's...except for tonight. My husband and I were making our way to the front of the store before closing, and one of the employees whose name is TAMMY, yelled "GUYS THE STORE IS NOW CLOSED" as we were walking to the checkout. We also noticed that other customers (who were not black) were still shopping and she said absolutely NOTHING to them. I made TAMMY aware of her rudeness and she was rude again. Welp, here goes my first review... I like Marshalls, although it's taken me sometime to appreciate this place for what it is. I find myself searching for hours to walk out with one item, or in most cases --nothing at all! Be sure to come with plenty of time, as we know it's a discount store, so be prepared to rummage through the racks and shelves. Other than that, this location is nicer than others I've been to, everything in it's correct place and the staff is always friendly. You'll find your everday items such as, kitchen and bath accessories, pets, gadgets, shoes and women's, men's and children's clothing. Basically everyting you need at discount prices! What do I know about a Marshalls? Absolutely nothing! Santa bought me a new suede couch and I needed some sofa pillows to give it that final manly touch. OK, so no one told me that I'd have to take out a second mortgage loan to get sofa pillows. WTF !! So with a recommendation off I go to Marshalls. Reminds me of SteinMart but bigger and a little more upscale? Whatever, found just the pillows I needed/wanted, great discount price, nice lady at checkout gives me a 10% off coupon and everybody in the store smiles. I last visited this location on a Saturday. I went in for a white dress and found two that I could not decide between. I got to the register and told the employee checking me out that I was just going to get both because I could not decide high to get. The female employee then began engaging in conversation with me about the dresses and also about colleges and majors (I had on a tshirt from my alma mater). I was so pleased with my service at the registered and was completely blown away by the male and female employees who I spoke to while standing there. I left the store with the biggest smile on my face because of the employees. Thank you! read more

Marshalls is one of my favorite stores for a good value. They have a pretty good selection of quality brand name shoes at good prices. The clothes I typically have a harder time finding my sizes in. My favorite things to buy here are kitchenwares since pots, pans and good deals never go out of style. read more

I come here for the Skechers sneakers specifically. Although sometimes I go for some gym cloths too but the sneakers are the main attraction. They also have good quality pots and pans, like Calphalon and Tefal, sometimes for very good price. read more

I used the dressing room and the girl never said hello. I came out and I told her to have a good day. She ignored me and I was ten steps out of the area and then she yelled do I want to donate money to Alzheimer's. She could not say hello or thank you when I wished her a good day which she made eye contact with me. She was rude and I have never seen this in any Marshals. It was dirty and unorganized. I know a lot of people shy away from discount stores like Marshalls because they're disorganized or dirty. That's not at all the situation with the Pleasant Valley Marshalls. I go in quite often (2-4 times/week) and it is always clean, the aisles are navigable (the only time it's a problem is when you get in where the clothing racks are--many of them are too close together), and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I did recently visit the Marshalls over by Triangle Town Center and it was the exact opposite & exactly what you'd typically expect from a discount store. So, the Pleasant Valley folks really have it together. There's usually a good amount of products worth looking at (as opposed to crap that just is thrown on a shelf) and it's one location that can change how you think of discount stores. read more
