Service here was awful. I had about four things in my hand and wanted to try them on really quickly, which would've been around $200 in a sale and when I asked where the fitting rooms were the gentleman at the cash wrap said we don't have fitting rooms, I said What do you mean you don't have a fitting room he said well their clothes cause we close in 10 minutes. not I'm sorry. We are all entitled to our own opinions, right? Well here's mine: Parking: 3 Location: 4 Decor/ambiance: 4 Customer Service: 3 This location sits inside one of RDU's most trafficked malls. Crabtree is always LIT with customers... especially on the weekends. This store is high volume as well because its one of the only ones in the area. They always have the latest trends found online but they never have sizes. Come prepared to wait in line for a minute to try on clothes. They have a limited amount of dressing rooms and there is always a line. The customer service is ok... nothing extraordinary. The staff will help... when summoned. Other than that, the brand gets a steller 4 stars but this location would get 3 from me. read more

01/17/22 Found is distracting and hard to shop when it looks like a tornando has just touched down in the middle of the store and inventory is everywhere from the floor to shoved up on top of racks. Instead of cleaning, employees were complaining "bro can they just shut the gate already" make it easier for me to shop bro - I won't spend so much time in the store checking the floor for a size small. read more

The Crabtree H&M is a far, far cry from the 2-story massive retail expanse that I first visited a few years ago in Manhattan, but it'll do. You got yer jewelry, you got yer handbags, you got yer chicks' clothes, you got yer dudes' clothes, you got yer...one dressing room?!? All I can say is hang on to your receipt, try on the clothes at home, and return them if they don't fit. So far I've done a pretty good job of eye-ballin' it in the store and haven't had to take anything back. I like most of their styles -- not everything, but okay -- and the prices are reasonable. This is a great place to get little black (and other color) t-shirts. I haven't tried their jeans yet. This is a cool spot to see what the trends are, and to pick up a couple things if you like and it won't break the bank. This store is on the bottom level near the Lego store. read more

I've only been to H&M twice in my life, well four times now. I love their prices, but never saw anything I really liked. Since I needed to restock my spring/summer clothes, especially for work, I decided to check them out. I picked up two pairs of cropped pants ($14.95 each!) & a dress ($24.95). Just looking at them on the hangers, I figured I could fit into them. I was short on time & saw the fitting room line & the line to check out. There were three associates working registers, but when you have fellow customers with armloads of clothes, it takes a while to get checked out. I waited about 10 minutes to get checked out. Thankfully, the associate I got was quick & I was on my way. Once I got home, I tried the pants & dress on. Pants were very snug & while the sheath dress was cute, it was going to be too short for work. I got back in my car & took the pants & dress back. This time, I decided to try on the next size up in the pants. Waited 10+ minutes for a room. The limit is seven items, but they'll hold your overflow for you. I quickly tried on my pants & the worked. Back in line at checkout, this time it wasn't quite 10 minutes, but almost. This time they had four associates working. The exchange process took a bit. She seemed to be very thorough on matching up - when I only had three items on the receipt. Then she made a point, while I was waiting, to attach sensors on the returned items & hung them behind her. Then she finalized my return. : / I understand about being efficient, but she was wasting my time. The store was neat & organized & they do pack in the product on the racks. This store caters to everyone, even children. Not really sure I will be a regular shopper here, but I am pleased with my pants. read more

And this store doesn't have a way to contact them, but customer service is telling me to contact the store. I would have never imagined to give this place 3 stars but.... It is way too small which makes things cluttered in which makes shopping a mission. Or... maybe because my first encounter was a huge ring around of a 2 story in New York City back in 2006. Either way, I was excited to have access to an H&M close by. Especially being the only one in the Carolinas. Not impressive at all this store. Especially that I am eager to always shop here. But repeatedly fail of walking out with any merchandise. Boo, for this particular one. I strongly believe the size would make a greater difference. Now, my hometown has opened one up too but I am afraid that it may be even smaller which will create havoc. I haven't been to an H&M since 2000 when I was in Germany. I've quickly fallen in love with H&M again upon coming to the store. Prices are decent and clothes are nice. Only complaint from my first visit is the fitting room line was way too long. It was that way my next two visits as well. I've also heard there are other H&Ms that are better organized and bigger; however, for the limited amount of space they have, I do believe they're doing a good job. As many have said before me this store is not that impressive for an H&M store and if you have NEVER shopped at H&M before (thankfully I have) this is one of the worst representation ever!! 1. The workers are rude and rush you everywhere and barely acknowledge your presences. There is absolutely NO customer service and a far cry from what H&M is like in other cities. 2. The clothes are reasonably priced but I found that some of them are either really short or really rather flimsy, so you really have to have an attention for detail when buying items. It won't last you forever, but it will last you the few seasons the styles are in style, so it's sort of you get what you pay for situation. 3. This store is very disorganized and already run down. This last time I went they put a person in a dressing room without ANY lights. How is she supposed to see what she is putting on if there was no light? The clothes are/were EVERY where all the time with no reason. A sales person actually told a girl that the dress she was inquiring about was a "sample" when I saw it hanging up in the back of the store. Then the manager was on the phone with a girl that had been on hold for TWO hours!! The workers were talking about it while I was waiting in the HOUR LONG LINE!! SERIOUSLY?! I felt like they were more concerned about the drama around the store and who came in then getting the line down. To be honest, it is cute, but it is not worth the HOUR I spent just waiting in line to try the darn things on! (I ended up picking nothing...so it was ALL for nothing!) Ugh. Cluttered cramp mess that resembles what clearance racks look like after the holidays. Every time I look online I get excited. I drive there and end up not being able to find a single thing I liked online. There is really no organization. Also the fitting room really means single not plural. And did I forget to mention the bins and bins and bins of just a collected amount of crap like jewelry makeup shower stuff all thrown in one small overflowing bin. I feel guilty shopping here because I saw that piece on the conditions of people who make these clothes on hbo's last week tonight with John Oliver. I know the cost of fast fashion, but I lost a lot of weight and need to restock my closet without breaking the bank. I also got two 20% discount coupons for bringing in used clothes. They donate them to charities if in good condition and recycle them if they're in poor condition. Not every charity shop does textile recycling. PTA does, but there are many that simply throw out clothes. So that's good. The lines to try on and check out are pretty reasonable, at least in comparison to the only other h&m I've been to, the one on Lincoln road in Miami beach. There's always cute, stylish new stuff too, every week. I always find something, sometimes as cheap as $8. I just wish the Bangladeshi factories they make these clothes in had fire extinguishers. read more

Like other reviewers have mentioned, can get a bit disorganized during the busy hours. But for the bargains combined with the occasional coupons, you can get some great fashions for excellent prices. Having only ever gone to the H&M stores back home (NYC and NJ) I couldn't wait for this location to open. A piece of home being brought to NC? Too good to be true. The store is disorganized and too cluttered. I would have imagined it would be difficult to clutter a store of that size but if you're there on a weekend it is incredibly difficult to try to navigate throughout the store. Yikes. Hang on to your seat: Not only is this store always dirty (clothes everywhere on the floor) but the staff is rude. I understand if you're too lazy to keep your store clean, but to give your customers an attitude when they ask you a question? I walked into the Fitting Room and the employee seemed like they completely hated this job and the people here. As I was trying on clothes he was constantly talking crap about his boss, how "unqualified" his boss was, and how he/she doesn't know anything. Then complaining about break time. Then complaining about closing time. I'm serious, it never ended. It was the most uncomfortable experience I've had in a fitting room. I then came out and said "Hey, thanks I'm done. Can I give these to you?" And he didn't even look me in the face, he stares at the ceiling like he cannot believe I'm trying to get him to do his job. He says in the rudest way possible, "You can put them on the table right there." The only way I can explain this employee is african-american male and very obviously homosexual (no insult intended). Just look out for this person if you want to avoid the experience I had today. H&M, I think you need to screen your employees better or provide better training. Can't go wrong with H&M, they have really good basic tees and I love their knit wear for Fall and Winter. But they avoid a 5-star review because even with a plus size section, the styles and prices are nothing compared to what I can find on Old Navy or Forever 21. I was so excited when H&M finally opened up here in Raleigh! I've been a fan of H&M since visiting stores in NYC and D.C. on trips up north. The clothing here isn't too expensive, is usually of medium to high quality, and they have trendy clothes. I do wish this Raleigh store was bigger and better organized. I also wish there wasn't always a line for the dressing room. However, the fact that you can actually make returns here (and they have a pretty good return policy in fact) unlike some stores (*cough* Forever 21*) makes it easy to just buy what I think I might like and then return what doesn't work (it also helps that I live so close so I can come back really easily). One problem I have with all H&M stores is that the sizing for their pants is really confusing. They have European sizing and despite trying on some pants here I still don't understand what size I'm supposed to be. I suppose that's why I only ever end up buying tops or accessories here. I must say though that the staff here (when they're not tied up at the register) are really friendly and helpful so if you have trouble decoding their sizes or finding an item they'll help you out. However, one qualm I do have is that half the time the employees themselves don't know where items are, which just shows how disorganized this store can be. read more

I shop here for exactly one reason. I really like French-cuff shirts in something other than the usual boring colors you find at more mainstream stores. You want a solid black French cuff in any of several fabrics? They likely have it. An interesting stripe in a really light cotton? It's there. This is a 5-star store if you know your size and you are prepared to walk in, find it yourself, and carry it to the counter, or not find it and come back when you have a few minutes. But I do need to disagree with those who would characterize this store as disorganized. I have had a very knowledgable and patient gentleman with a tailor's measuring tape help me find my size in a beautifully made overcoat, and I have found great clothes at prices that only a consignment shop could beat. Still, those things aren't this store's strength. Its sole unique selling proposition is the interesting variety of fabrics and cuts for clothes that would be merely the same old thing elsewhere. Go with that in mind, and I'll be surprised if you are disappointed. read more

The clothes here are the same as every H&M they have a good selection. But the customer service is the worst. They never have cashiers open and if they do they move so slow. The people at the dressing room are straight up PISSED you want to try on clothes. All the workers in this store want to stand around and do absolutely nothing. Horrible customer service... Terrible service!!!!!! I ordered a pair of shorts online that were too small so I brought them to this store to return them and the girl, who was my age (18), said that she couldn't take them because there were signs of "wear and tear". I assured her I hadn't worn them because there's no way I could have since they don't fit. She proceeded to give me a condescending attitude and said that she has the power to determine whether or not something can be returned, pointing at random seams to make it seem like I had worn them when there isn't even a single raised seam or wrinkle (besides the wrinkle folds). I believe she was too lazy to process a return and just wanted to get through the long line so I smiled and left. But never again will I shop at this store. read more

Just moved to the area from Florida. My mom was visiting so I desided to show my mom the mall. Once at the mall we happened to stop in to H&M. After choosing an item to buy I proceeded to the register. The oriental cashier looked very upset and as I was paying she was talking to the other cashier next to her not even paying attention to me. I paid in cash and when she returened the change to me she gave me a $5.00 bill half ripped so I asked her for another on. She rudely explained that she could not open the register. She gave me my bag and called the next customer. I stood there waiting for the bill to be exchanged. She then turned to the other 2 cashiers there and told them that if they opened the register to exchange the $5.00. The skinny cashier at the end said no we can not do that with a very nasty tone. I explained that I just received this bill from the other cashier and I wanted to exchange it. She said that she could not open the drawer and to press step aside to take the next customer making me feel like a piece of shit. I then requested to speak to the manager which was a totally waste of time. She slammed her drawer and stromed off to get the manger. The manager came and I explained to her what has just happened but she could not really care and said sure I'll exchange the $5.00 for you. As I started to walk away the manager and the 2 cashiers started to laugh at us. The tall cashier with short hair and the top of it in a pony tall made a hand guestur at my like to go away. I have never been so disrespect in a store like I did today. Please go to another store. They don't care about there customers. I will be reaching out to the district manager to complain.
