One of my favorite places to shop is Duluth. Unfortunately, there aren't very many Duluth stores in Florida. So I was happy to discover this one while visiting in neighboring Durham. This store is a little smaller than the one I've visited in Jacksonville, but it was stocked amazingly well! The first thing I saw upon entering was what I was looking for - quilted lined jeans. Yes, it's cold in North Carolina!! I tried them on and they fit true (and warm). I also purchased an "Angry Beaver" thermos to hold my hot coffee in (everyone needs one of these). They have quality, well made, and comfortable clothes. They have a good selection of quality shoes with notable names of Keen and Danner. Everything in the store was 25% off. The employees were helpful, courteous, and friendly. I love the old 1950 McCormick Farmall Cub (tractor) that greets you at the entrance. If you're interested in warm, comfortable, and quality, clothing, you should check them out!

There is most certainly a humor factor with the marketing of the products at Duluth Trading Company. It's not only in the commercials, but also with the signage in the store. Each store in the chain is different. DTC attempts to stock stores with inventory appropriate to the market and the season. Right now, there are lots of flannel shirts, flannel lined jeans, and some boots, but if that just seems too much, they carry non-flannel, too. It's appropriate for the region. While DTC does have men's and women's clothing, there are also a fair number of non-clothing items like soaps, lotions, games and dog toys. I'm not sure how much of the smaller items that surround the registers will stay once the stocking-stuffer season is over. Flashlights and bottle openers are non-seasonal, so maybe those will be there. My one ding is the checkout. While the employees are fine, I really, really hate the process that does not have a screen for me to watch what is being entered or at what price. It's not until I'm told the total and am handed the receipt that I see what was charged and for what. I really hate that. Of course, that doesn't mean I don't mentally track things on my way to the register, or that I can't ask the person to read back the items and price, but I don't want to be obligated to go through those mental gymnastics when a simple fix is available. Duluth Trading Company is still a fun store, though.

We've all seen the funny "Buck Naked" commercials for Duluth Trading's clothes and undies and now they have a store in Cary. Really nice clothes for men and women and shoes, all at fair prices given the quality. This time of year there's lots of soft flannel shirts in wonderful patterns, sweaters, hats, scarves, gloves, jackets, and more. The employees are super friendly and helpful. If they don't have something in stock they can order it for you right on the spot!

Kohl's fills a niche for us when shopping for clothes, shoes, accessories and some household items…read more This location is standard Kohl's fare -- good selection, off season sales are hard to beat, well known brands, and super helpful staff. The value comes from clearance items or marked down stuff including shoes. Their everyday prices are seldom going to be the lowest but we prefer Kohl's versus other retail options (Costco, Walmart, Target, Amazon) for specific purchases.

After calling customer service, was told to go back and call in and they would walk them through the return. Told the employee at Cary what happened and to call in. Response was "I've been here for 3 years and never heard of that". Hey, first time for everything and since you were having the same problem let's just call in like I was told to. Of course customer service phone (which Cary didn't know who to call) was not someone very fluent in English. Still waiting on a refund for 3 weeks now. I'm done with Kohl's everywhere. Look at the discounts they have, after you do the sales and discount you could've got that same item elsewhere for that price without the Kohl's discount. So many limitations on the discounts, even how many times you can use the 30% off per year. Personally, I don't see them lasting. Sooner or later they will go bankrupt.

When he returned he said, "It's REALLY good you didn't come with me into the store!" I asked what happened. He told me an unleashed aggressive dog was standing directly inside the entrance and loudly snarled and growled at him as he tried to enter the store. The female owner of the dog&store told him the dog was a "rescue" and that it didn't take a liking to men. I have documented allergies to dogs and also fear them for their unpredictable nature as what happened when he casually walked into the store. It's a shame because he probably would have bought me something warm to wear if the dog had not been there growling at him. Also, I only buy second hand from smoke&pet free homes/stores. *Message to management: I've never owned a clothing store, but I've worked at one. It's very important for customers to feel safe and welcomed when trying on clothes and window shopping. In what world is it considered civilized to have an unleashed, untrained and aggressive dog positioned at the head of the store? You are actively discriminating against men shopping at your store by bringing this dog to work. Men like to surprise their girlfriend or wife or mother with something nice to wear from time to time. If you don't have liability insurance for potential dog bites when a man enters your store it might be time to get some. Or, better yet, just install a modern security system and leave your aggressive dog at home or bring it to a shelter. You will be doing the city of Raleigh and it's citizens a favor.
