I regularly order online and pick up in-store, and the staff here are always wonderful--pleasant, helpful, and genuinely kind. The 3.9 rating doesn't reflect my experience at all. A couple of extreme one-star reviews are dragging it down, but if you actually shop here, you'll find a great team that goes out of their way to help. I absolutely love that there is a Duluth location in Cary! I have been buying their clothes online for years and so enjoy that I can now shop in store. Duluth clothing is expensive but that is because it is going to last you FOREVER!! I'd rather pay a high price for an item one time than pay a low price for an item many times. I have worn my Duluth fleece jacket nearly every single day for the past 3 years and it is still good as new. I really like their Dry-On-The-Fly collection. I wore my Dry-On-The-Fly pants on a recent trip to Ireland and they were perfect for the damp days. The staff members in the store are super friendly and helpful. A lady even helped me find the Dry-On-The-Fly shorts in my size, she located them in the back room and saved me from ordering online. read more

One of my favorite places to shop is Duluth. Unfortunately, there aren't very many Duluth stores in Florida. So I was happy to discover this one while visiting in neighboring Durham. This store is a little smaller than the one I've visited in Jacksonville, but it was stocked amazingly well! The first thing I saw upon entering was what I was looking for - quilted lined jeans. Yes, it's cold in North Carolina!! I tried them on and they fit true (and warm). I also purchased an "Angry Beaver" thermos to hold my hot coffee in (everyone needs one of these). They have quality, well made, and comfortable clothes. They have a good selection of quality shoes with notable names of Keen and Danner. Everything in the store was 25% off. The employees were helpful, courteous, and friendly. I love the old 1950 McCormick Farmall Cub (tractor) that greets you at the entrance. i bought two pairs of their "souped up sweats". the pants are nice, but the belt is absolutely useless. the belt seems to be for decoration only, because unless it is tied off, it will not hold.. 3 ounces of force and it loosens, so if there is anything in your pockets, your pants will constantly fall down. on one pair, the belt won't even remain latched! the design of the pants makes replacing the belt almost impossible... that is if you can even find one that thin! whoever approved the belt design should be fired! too add insult to injury, they force you to accept ads to leave a reveiw, and they offer no way to contact them electronically. their chat never works, there is no feedback form! read more

I had a very upsetting experience during my recent visit. A white male employee continuously harassed me and my children in a way that was clearly rude, inappropriate, and deeply offensive. His behavior and attitude were blatantly racist and made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. No one should be treated this way especially not in a place of business. I hope the management takes this seriously and addresses the discrimination occurring in their store. read more

I have been sleeping on Duluth Trading Company! So, yesterday was my first in person shopping experience. After seeing several of their ads about how well their jeans fit women of all sizes, especially currier ones I gave in and got a pair. I live in Fayetteville, NC, so I had it shipped to the Cary store for free pick up. Upon walking up I was warmly greeted by the fully masked staff who kindly guided me to the super clean bathrooms--wow--I'd had tons of tea on the way up from Fayetteville--LOL. The staff's warmness continued as I walked around. I picked up a couple of their long sleeve t-shirts and walked to the counter to pick up my order. The two staff at the counter were just so nice! One of them told me more about the jeans and how well they fit her and if I needed a new size, had questions, etc that they can help. Well, the jeans and the long sleeve shirts fit great and at check out the staff was great again! Overall I just had an amazing experience as the staff were kind and attentive. Walking into a new store and not being super familiar with the products can be intimidating, but the staff made it easy! Definitely will be back!! read more

There is most certainly a humor factor with the marketing of the products at Duluth Trading Company. It's not only in the commercials, but also with the signage in the store. Each store in the chain is different. DTC attempts to stock stores with inventory appropriate to the market and the season. Right now, there are lots of flannel shirts, flannel lined jeans, and some boots, but if that just seems too much, they carry non-flannel, too. It's appropriate for the region. While DTC does have men's and women's clothing, there are also a fair number of non-clothing items like soaps, lotions, games and dog toys. I'm not sure how much of the smaller items that surround the registers will stay once the stocking-stuffer season is over. Flashlights and bottle openers are non-seasonal, so maybe those will be there. My one ding is the checkout. While the employees are fine, I really, really hate the process that does not have a screen for me to watch what is being entered or at what price. It's not until I'm told the total and am handed the receipt that I see what was charged and for what. I really hate that. Of course, that doesn't mean I don't mentally track things on my way to the register, or that I can't ask the person to read back the items and price, but I don't want to be obligated to go through those mental gymnastics when a simple fix is available. Duluth Trading Company is still a fun store, though. read more

Duluth Trading Co. has been my go-to for causal clothes, for years. Up until two years ago, when I moved to Durham, I could only experience them online. Once I discovered they had a store in Cary I had to experience it in person. 30-mile drive, but worth it. For one thing, it's much more fun to walk in to a store where you know you can probably find well- made clothes that will fit you, and actual try them on, than to order online and hope it looks good. They have a wide array of jeans, chinos, overalls, shirts, and tees, and if they're missing your size they can order it for you. For another, the staff is ultra pleasant and helpful. The Duluth company personality caters to folks like me who want sturdy, attractive casual wear that will last. If that's your cup of tea, you'll love shopping there in person. read more

According with the North Carolina plan to open retail stores, Duluth is open for curb side pick up and allowing a lower occupancy of customers in the store. I was the only customer in the store today when going in to make a return. Store is very clean. Employees are wearing masks and have a plastic shield at the cash register. They are definitely making the best of a not so great situation. There are sales on most items right now too. read more

I loved the Duluth ads. The catalogs I used to admire because of the artwork, so I was unbelievably delighted to discover Cary had a living breathing Duluth, well....I made a bee line. Duluth stores won't replace the catalog....there is still more stock online than in the Cary store as opposed to say, the store in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. But the staff is always friendly, like REI friendly. They notice you, speak to you like they are your friend or fellow shopping companion. I don't feel "policed" or like a "mark" either. Just nice cordial acceptance. It makes me linger and hang out to look at everything. I really find the challenge with Duluth is what used to be a comfortable constancy of products. The cut...dependable, the colors dependable, the style, dependable. But I think more stuff is being made in different factories and cut on patterns for bodies made on a mannequin not a human form. Because I had to stop buying my favorite Dry on the Fly Pants and was hoping for a cool raspberry or pumpkin to add to my stash. The clothes manage most times to not look like old peoples clothing and I have been one the moon with long inseams (except the overalls dammit) for women. I also love love the diversity of models in their catalogs, ages, sizes ethnicity...the inclusiveness and the friendliness will keep me a customer. Just please stop messing with the cut of your staple items. read more

This place needs a sweiois overhaul in customer service! I've shopped here for years, it had been wonderful. I was shopping today, wesring a shirt from their store even, and the girl at the counter, taller brunett, had an attitude becayae I doubke checked the sale prices. I had to come back because it turns out a fsmiky member is a size up and I neded to exchange something. I walk in, there are TWO lines, one she is seevicing at the checkout counter, the other no one is. I get on the line shes working, and offer the others to cut me since they were there first once we all realized what was going on with the lines. At that point another emoloyee finally comes and helps and those people go to his line. More people jump in the line where no one is working. I stay in the one this woman is working. She saw me and heard me the whole time, I was right in front of her. The people in front of me finally nesr finish checkingnout and she says to me, "Oh sorry, the line actually starts over there" where the people are that cane after me. Are you actually serious right now?!?!. Merry glipping Christmas. Im returning every gift I just bought, after Christmas and buying all things elsewhere from now on. AMAZING STORE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE! My mom and her friend went shopping here last week, the store is super full of products and they have multiple sizes available. David helped her pick out pants and had no problem running to the back multiple times to get different sizes and he offered great advice about each product. He is clearly very knowledgeable about the brand! Christian (?) helped at checkout and provided even more valuable information. Both were patient and FAR exceeded expectations. Duluth's Angry Beaver dog toy has held up well over the six months of thrashing it's been through. Our golden retriever's favorite toy even attracted a coyote who carried it up the hill and dropped it. We were so happy we found it and brought back Luna's favorite toy. The tennis balls inside add interest and heft that makes it toss well. The angry beaver t-shirts our men wear feel like good humored fun. Thanks for such great products. read more

Horrible first time experience. Taylor who was great and very helpful came up to me, we started talking and she showed me around the store. Was giving me wonderful gift ideas. Then out of nowhere Jenny comes up and in a rude and unpolite way tells Taylor to get back to work. Well excuse me but if I'm not wrong here she was helping me. Taylor apologized for that happening an she continued to help me. I looked around for a few minutes while she helped another customer and then came back to me. Then in the middle of Taylor showing me gifts for my mother, Jenny comes back up and tells her to go home. There's a time an place for a situation like that and that wasn't it. Poor management. I have commented on other locations because Duluth just rocks, no matter the location. Good product, attentive(bordering too much) customer service people and I don't mind the price because their stuff LAST! But today I had one of the best dressing room experiences ever! I am a fairly artsy woman and have always been jealous of the other women that have less curves and can rock bib overalls. But today, I found the first pair of overalls, since I was a girl at the young age of 6, that not only fit, but felt so comfy!!! I bought bib overalls!!! Not what I went in for...I went in to purchase the ever needed basic and functional no jank T-shirt's. But there were these olive green bibs, and no one was with me to rush me so I had to try them and I swear angels sang!!! read more
