I am a fan of this Banana Republic, we usually head in when my husband needs new work cloths or really just cloths in general. He has a very picky sense of style, and Banana Republic usually fits the bill for what he is looking for. Every time we have been in the employees have been super helpful. Even if I'm just walking through from the parking lot, someone always asks if I need any help. The employees also go above and beyond if your item isn't in stock. They will place the order for you online and ensure they are maximizing all the discount codes possible. This is definitely a store where you should never pay full price, they always have a sale going on. i kind of teetered off buying clothes from here. the outlets just prove to be too good of a deal. i recently found a pair of jeans on sale that were great, but they were too long (they were abnormally long, i'm not that short but even with 3.5" heels there was at least 1-2 inches dragging on the floor). Luckily, as a luxe card member, basic alterations are free. I'm kind of weary of alterations on denim because most people just sew them up and don't really pay attention to the stitching that is different on jeans. When i got my pair back four days later, i was thoroughly impressed that the stitching matched the rest of the jeans. The length was just right and the matching stitching made it ten times better! i'm very pleased with this location. read more

I will never support Banana Republic. Their marketing division is illegal and should be stopped! An acquaintance provided them my email for a "friends and family" discount to save a few dollars! I never asked or agreed to be put on a mailing list. I receive 3-4 emails a day and have unsubscribed and replayed stop 4 days in a row! After day 5 I called customer care. I was told by Bonka who would not provide her employee id when requested, that it would take 3 to 6 weeks to be successfully unsubscribed! That is complete BS and illegal! I went to this store because an item was purchased online for me as a gift and it didn't work out. The invoice states that I could return it to the store and get a gift card rather than have the return put back on the gift-giver's credit card. So I went to the store, thinking it would be pretty easy. I picked out a different item that I wanted, which cost more than the item I was returning, so they were actually going to make money off the transaction. Not only is the statement on the invoice false, I immediately found myself in a situation where the manager and 2 employees were behind the counter, ganged up on me, interrupting each other to tell me how wrong I was, lecturing me about their policies and how I was doing everything wrong, even though the invoice clearly does state that you can get a gift card. Since when does this need to be handled by 3 people? It actually seemed like a sport for them, interrupting each other and me to shift all blame for this issue to me. That's cool, though - the BR team got what they wanted, which was to drive the "wrong" customer out of the store. (Still weird that the invoice states in writing that I could get a gift card, but okay...) The invoice also states that they want the customers to be 100% happy. I usually never get anything at this BR in the years I've gone; however, I was able to find a pair of pants that actually worked. Anyhow, my mom had a 20% off if you purchase over a $125 dollar coupon. However, my pants didn't make the cut alone. So, I asked the people in the line, is anyone spending over $125 so I could give them my card. The guy behind me said he would've but the dress he was buying was only 89.99 on sale. He then offered to put ours together and we were over the $125. Of course I was skeptical doing deals at the BR line. He then gave me a $50 gift card and $50 bucks in cash. I guess he figured that I didn't look like the type that would run off with his money. So, I bought both of our items and we both saved 20% - awesome! So, my review is basically on how nice North Carolineans are....if I had been back in SF, I would've been far more skeptical. The BR store in itself is like most. This one is actually pretty well stocked as it serves the Chapel Hill-Durham area and is in the highly successful Southpoint mall. They have about 15 dressing rooms in the back and the store had a lot of clerks/helpers so that was nice. read more

The service was good here but their selection was missing sizes. After I purchased a few items, I went online to purchase the item they didnt have. I then notice that online, I could save 25 percent. It seems that in store, they wont honor the online prices! I mean, cmon, are we still in the late 90s? I ended up returning everything and ordering it online a few days later. Yet a few days later... they had a 40% off sale for 2 items.. so I placed multiple orders :) 40% thats right.. it wasnt a typo! read more

Wider variety than the Crabtree location. Also unlike Crabtree, staff is competent at finding additional sizes and the store front is well stocked with all sizes and colors. Clearance rack is a bit smaller, however. read more

Came here looking to get some new jeans since I lost a whole waist size after I started eating healthier. One of their sales representatives was very eager to tell me about their credit card which I had no interest in. She also mentioned her name like 3 times which I didn't understand until I got to the check out counter and they asked me if anybody helped me find any items and I remembered her name only because she drilled it into my brain. I did appreciate how they kind of streamlined the changing room process so I was in and out in no time. read more

Ive shopped at Banana for several years based on the quality of clothes. I bought a few polo type shirts from there about 6 weeks ago and had washed them a few times in cold water/hang dry and of the 5 I have 2 shrunk. I attempted to take them back but was denied the return. The cashier stated "the shirts are cotton they will shrink even in cold water." I spend a lot of money at Banana every year for good quality clothing and I simply wanted an exchange. Ill never shop here again based on this experience. I cut up my card and went over to J.
