I love my StyleFinder clothes and I finally put my finger on it the other day...the difference! Since I've had help from someone picking out the right sizes and styles for me, even if I am at my heavier weight, I don't feel fat. How much is that worth ladies? Some of my StyleFinder skirts and dresses have linings in them that help create a nice, tucked in shape without feeling tight or restrictive in any way. Most all of the clothes have a flexible waistline so you're not tugging at it if you gain a few pounds but the clothes are not in any way frumpy! Also, since the staff will help you figure out which pieces are interchangeable, you'll get more bang for your buck...an entire wardrobe, rather than a bunch of random pieces of clothing. I never thought I was a boutique clothing store person and always imagined the clothes were super expensive or kind of on the weird side. Definitely silly, StyleFinder is nothing like that! Especially if you have an occasion or event coming up I'd highly recommend that you give this store a try.

I tried to look online for directions or instructions on how to consign with them and there's nothing listed. I was trying to send business to local businesses since we live in Wake Forest so I was hoping to send business here. Today while running errands, I stopped in and asked how to make an appointment for consignment. She looked me up and down and said they don't take just anyone's clothes and tossed a four page pamphlet at me with a list of clothes they don't want, designers they don't want, and how to properly clean and present cloths to them. The whole thing seemed very harsh and abrasive. When I told her what items I had she was like "well I'm booked until June so you can try back then." I was floored. The store is extremely dated looking despite the requirement for "in style" fashions. I will not be back to shop or consign here. I do not recommend them whatsoever.

Between a choice of going to the mall or coming to Next, Next wins every time! My husband appreciates that and I get so many compliments. Elegant Relic is both a home furnishing store, with a fair mix of redone antique items and modern equivalents. But they also have a cute clothing boutique that has some unusual items. There's a vintage vibe to everything. Maybe it's the subdued lighting, the scented candles and the hardwood floors, but everything is well displayed and draws you in. The clothing in the upstairs area (hen feathers) has a bohemian feel with mostly unstructured garments, but that might be owing more to the time of year than anything else. Although I didn't find anything I had to have, it was nice change of pace. The owner directed me to quite a few items on special and owing to her salesmanship skills, nearly had me buying it all. She wasn't pushy about it, though, and that itself was pretty remarkable. For the most part though, when I preferred to browse without a sales person following me around, the Elegant Relic staff let that happen. It's not a particularly inexpensive store, but they are consistent other stores of this kind. As far as the bottom floor, there were some interesting quote boards and other wall accessories. This was one of my last stops as far as antique stores in Mebane so I didn't really check the prices.
