I do not trust anyone else with my car. Any work they do is guaranteed and they won't do work that's unnecessary. When I take my car in, they not only fix it up, "Uncle" Joseph also does a routine check of my car - fluid levels, etc. - because he knows that I'm not car savvy and would not check this for myself. They even provide a car if I have to leave mine a couple days. I remember when I was younger, money was tight and there was not much spare budget for car repairs. Mom's car was having problems, so we took it in for a check. Not only did he not charge us for the check, but he gave us a quick fix, an ETA on car life, and an analysis of whether it was worth it to keep "fixing" the car. Any other mechanic would have just kept gouging us for continued repairs. He was honest enough to tell us that he would fix it if we wanted but it was not worth it and we'd be back in a few months. Recently I was rear ended (not my fault!) and the entire bumper and trunk had to be replaced. After repair / replacement, my car looks beautiful again. Thank you, Uncle Joseph!!

Located conveniently near my home in southwest Houston, this shop has been my go-to place for every car-related need for several years now. Whether it's annual maintenance, oil changes, or unexpected issues that pop up, I always know I can count on Joseph Auto Service to handle it with honesty, professionalism, and care. What sets this place apart is the feeling of trust and community that you get the moment you walk through the door. The staff here treat you like family they, explain everything in simple, transparent terms. I've never once felt pressured into paying for unnecessary services or repairs, which says a lot in today's world. Instead, they always walk me through what's needed, what can wait, and what's most cost-effective. That kind of honesty is rare, and it's one of the biggest reasons why both my family and I continue to bring our vehicles here year after year. My family relies on Joseph Auto Service just as much as I do. From my parents' SUV to my own car, they've handled everything brake replacements, tune-ups, inspections, and even body work all with consistent quality. It gives us peace of mind knowing we have a local mechanic we can trust, especially during emergencies. Their work is dependable, their pricing is fair, and their turnaround time is always reasonable. I've recommended this shop to countless friends and coworkers, and every single one has told me how satisfied they were with their experience too. What I value most is that this business feels genuinely rooted in the community. They're not a big chain or corporate repair center they're a local, hardworking team that understands the importance of reputation and word of mouth. It's the kind of business that makes Houston neighborhoods stronger: local people helping local families. Every time I leave, I feel grateful that I don't have to stress about my car or second-guess the work being done. In a city as large as Houston, finding a mechanic that feels personal and trustworthy can be difficult. That's why Joseph Auto Service stands out so much. It's not just the quality of their repairs it's the integrity behind their service and the consistency they bring every single visit. I know that when I drop off my car, it's in good hands. Overall, Joseph Auto Service is more than just an auto repair shop it's a dependable part of my family's life and a true asset to our community. I'll continue to recommend them to anyone looking for honest, skilled, and friendly service. They've earned every bit of their reputation, and I can confidently say I wouldn't take my car anywhere else.

Update 17Jul2026: The sales manager, MyLinh Salazar,…read morecontacted me saying that I was a valued customer and had indeed purchased multiple vehicles at this location. Lexus would take care of my windshield replacement. Maybe they do care about their customers? MyLinh promised me that she would let the service department know and I just needed to schedule service with them. Everything would be on my file. Welp, I texted the customer service line to schedule an appointment; the same line I use to schedule vehicle services. Ana couldn't figure out how to schedule and kept deferring. She first told me that they would arrange for a manager to call me; which they did, and I explained the situation. Ana finally said she can schedule my appointment and to find a date/time that works. Once I provided that information, there way a 2-day delay. She told me she needed to talk to her colleague and they'll get back to me as soon as possible. That was June 2nd.. no response via that text line to this date. Skip forward a week or two, I decided to call the service department directly. I explained the situation, gave them MyLinh Salazar's name and that I would like to schedule a complimentary windshield replacement. Easy peasy.. I got in the books and was scheduled for June 10th at 8am. I came in to drop my vehicle off and they set me up with a loaner fairly quickly, with the understanding that they would call me in a few hours when my vehicle was done. I asked them this question specifically and this was the exact response. 4pm rolls around and I'm curious why they haven't called or provided any updates. I never received a text from the service team, which is abnormal, so I called the service line directly. My service provider called me back and told me they were still waiting for the parts. Why did they schedule a windshield replacement appointment and never order a windshield! Wtf?! So I wasted 2 days of them just keeping my car cause they didn't have the parts to do the job. Austin finally confirmed they didn't get everything in until Friday morning, June 12th. My vehicle was not ready until very late Friday, around 5:30-6pm. I opted to pick up my vehicle Saturday, June 13th, 3 full days later. I'm not sure what's going on with this dealership or their service department. It was a really bad experience, on top of a really bad sales experience (see below) the last 2 vehicles. 18May2026: One of the shadiest businesses I've ever worked with. I've purchased 3 vehicles here over the years and each time, the experience gets worse. My first vehicle was about 10 years ago when Sterling McCall Lexus actually cared about giving stellar customer service, but I've seen this mentality decrease over the years.. maybe due to demand but it's completely unacceptable. I bought my 2nd vehicle during covid and had to wait for it to arrive from Japan. The negotiations felt like a "bait and switch" experience, where they say one thing and come out with completely something different on paper. Luckily we read behind the lines and called them out on it before the documents were complete. This last time was a year ago, and it was with Finance. Again, a sought after vehicle. I had a deposit down and thought it was weird they took my deposit and didn't call me with the vehicle of my choice, over a year later. This dealership wouldn't give you your position # on the waitlist. When I absolutely needed a vehicle due to an unexpected accident, they magically came up with something in production that would arrive within a month. I purchased a windshield replacement option and they told me I could be covered for tires and windshield. I have documentation that the small print about the windshield replacement having a restriction of under 6" was never disclosed. That is, until I called and had to use it. No information about taking a photo with a ruler, or size restriction; the whole package was a scam. Anything less than 6" is not a windshield replacement, just a small chip repair through Caltex. Shady business all around, from sales to finance.

I was honestly worried I wouldn't be able to get everything handled in time. Arielle (the red‑headed one) helped me set up an appointment and immediately put me at ease. When I arrived, another staff member told me they weren't sure the repairs could be finished before my warranty expired. But once I met with Arielle, she told me not to worry -- she would make sure it got done. And she did exactly that. She got the parts ordered, kept things moving, and made sure everything was finalized before the deadline. Throughout the whole process, she kept me updated and never made me feel like just another customer. Talking with her felt like talking to a friend who genuinely cared about my situation. She made me feel heard, valued, and supported. She even helped me get a loaner car while the repairs were happening, and anytime I had a question she answered quickly. I visited several Subaru dealerships in the area on the search for my new Outback - West Houston…read moreSubaru is a major standout. West Houston Subaru and my salesman Matt Zimmerman won my business because of their ethics, pricing, and attitude. Pricing is truly transparent, with no hidden add ons or accessories you never asked for. Matt was kind, courteous, and genuine throughout the whole process, and never put pressure on me to buy. He was experienced and knowledgeable about everything Subaru has to offer. He was a straight shooter and an honest negotiator. Unlike other salesmen, he didn't blow my phone up after trusting him with my number. The sales manager, Robert, was also great. He was welcoming, professional, and willing to help make the deal I wanted happen. We enjoyed chatting with him while everything was in the works. He was also hands on in supporting his sales team - always a good sign in a manager. Karen, the finance officer, was also very honest and knowledgeable. She even independently found me a better rate than my initial financing offer. I felt no pressure to buy add-ons, but I did get a wrap warranty for a great price. I felt very happy with the value I got for my trade in, my interactions with the dealership and Matt, and the value I'm getting from my awesome new ride. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
