As a Yelper who like to help small businesses, I would never rate someone bad but this one is worth a bad review. I requested a quote and this was through the Yelp feature that 4 additional businesses responded to the request. Tisdell was one of them and had beat the other quotes. SINCE THEY HAD A 5 STAR ON YELP I DECIDED TO PURSUE THEM BUT THE RATING WAS SO DECEIVING! Red Flag 1: The spokesperson(or maybe the owner) Andre first asked me to communicate via text since her was not active on Yelp. Red Flag 2: Then when I asked him to schedule an appointment via voice, he had me say the agreed amount and that I agree to pay ( that was awkward, trust me). During this verbal agreement, he left out one of the services in the quote and when I asked for it he added another $100 to the cost! When confronted with the snapshot of the Yelp quote he agreed to the original quoted price and said that he misquoted but he will honor it. Red Flag 3: NO SHOW! Yes - he never showed up! Giving him the benefit of the doubt, I called to reschedule which he did. But guess what? He cancelled the day of the appointment. I decided to give it one last chance and rescheduled again. But this time, I WAS GHOSTED! I guess it wasn't worth all the effort after all! read more

BUYER BEWARE Completely unprofessional . Called this guy about a repair he did for me. He told my father about an issue with the car that was affecting the actual issue: he never told me about this issue. So i called him to talk about it no answer so i text him. He calls me and claims "well you were outside so i said it to everybody". So I'm still talking to him while he's being disrespectful calling me stupid and a nigger. Mind you this man is black. So eventually i lost my cool. If you want somebody who knows how to use English and has people skills don't come here. Best and most professional mechanic I have ever worked with! I called Andre on a Monday is regards to my battery light coming on and off. I explained to him what the car was also doing. Without hesitation, he informed me of what he thought the problem was. Sure enough, his pre-diagnosis over the phone was correct. I had originally wanted to set up an appointment for the following weekend. However, I had some free time a few days later and without hesitation he agreed to meet me that same day I asked if we could move the appointment to an earlier date. Upon meeting, we shook hands and he went straight to work. In about 1 1/2 hours my car was ready to go! He had also found a part that I needed to replace ASAP, but the part was special order. It was such an easy thing to fix, that he taught me how to do it myself. From the beginning to the end, Andre is a top mechanic. He was honest, courteous, professional and even taught me how to do a simple fix myself so that I could save myself some money. All that tells me that he genuinely cares about his customers. He did a great job on my car. The first day he came i didn't have the right part for my car, got what the dealership told me to get, he didn't get upset just told me exactly what I need after he took things apart to get a better look. Got the part later that day and he came back the very next day to do the work. Usually you have to wait an unusual amount of time to get the next appointment. Very good mechanic! I was having some issues with my AC system. A local repair shop recommended replacing the compressor, dryer, orifice tube and condenser for a ridiculous price. I conveyed the issues to Andre over the phone and he immediately questioned the need to replace the condenser as it was not leaking. Long story short, he saved me money by not replacing serviceable parts. Very efficient service right in my driveway! I'd be happy to recommend him to my friends and family. read more

My car was making this clickety clackety noise on the driver side wheel. First off my steering wheel started shaking and such but did I pay it any attention noooo. On Monday I was driving and that click clack noise got louder and the shaking less ignorable.. After work I got into my car and proceeded to drive as if nothing was wrong, then it happened my tire blew and I was deep in the heart of traffic! I was scared I pulled into the nearest parking lot and started looking up what could be wrong with my car come to find out it was a CV axle and of course my tire. So I started looking for a mobile mechanic cause obviously I could drive to a shop and a tow truck would be hella expensive! Everyone I called said they were closed or on the last job and I would have to wait several days well that was not for me. So I called Tisdell mobile mechanic and he answered my call. Car would not start but everything cuts on when I turn it on. I got a jumped still did not work.so knee I needed a mechanic to check it out. I searched for a mobile mechanic since I did not want to pay ridiculous amount for a tow to my normal shop 18 miles away. After locating this Mobile Mechanic Service Yesterday here on Yep because of a Bad Experience with the ( Your Mechanic Mobile Service) also here. Mr. Tisdell and I emailed back and forth through Yelp a few times. I had him call me to workout the details of installing a Power Steering Pump the next morning agreeing to an arrival time. Mr. Tisdell arrived on time if not before and ready to work. I did not time him but being a former Mechanic and Supervisor of Mechanics he completed the Job a lot quicker than I expected. After completing the task he was Hired for, I asked him to help me troubleshoot a Minor issue I was having with my PU trk, which he agreed to without hesitation. I explained the symptoms to him and showed him all the points of interests. Together we began troubleshooting the problem. We spent several Minutes troubleshooting an AC problem and did in-fact find the defective Part. After spending that time together Mr. Tisdell did not charge me one dime. I highly recommend him for your Automotive Repair needs that are within his Range. I will keep him on speed dial for any future repair needs.
