Bought car battery for AcuraTL(Platinum AGM) 3-4 month ago, I had issue starting the car, I research what are issue "why" the car would not start in "YouTube"and finally took my battery back on a SUNDAY to have it checked. Alex D.(ID Badge) help me & found that 1-2 cell was weak & it will take few hours to recharge the battery. He decided to replaced it with a new battery. Bec. I was in a hurry, unfortunately they don't have the same battery I need,he called the nearest AutoZone & prearranged me picking up the battery. Very slow service, the staffs are not welcoming and do not acknowledge you. Two of the employees are doing something else stating that "it's not their station". I honestly think you should at least try to help out if the customers are waiting instead of just ignoring. Came here since my engine check light is on and to ask for a code. Heard it was really quick to get the results from a "scanner". I hope the employees here at least learn how to do other tasks even though it's "not included in their job duties". No frills or thrills here come get what you need and if they don't have it at this store then the staff will kindly locate a specific part at any other AutoZone in Houston. The staff isn't really that knowledgeable about fixing car troubles (go to a mechanic you cheap bastard) but they will help with issues of batteries, headlights, alternators and etc...). Oh remember to get the AutoZone car. The key to getting 20.00 store credit is simple. Spend at least 20.00 minimum per visit (multiple transactions per day will not count) you'll get a point. I needed a new battery for my BMW. I bought one from AutoZone and thought I could get it installed someplace else. No one could do it at AutoZone that night and no one else would install a battery I didn't buy from them .......but yet they were out of stock for my particular battery. It's crazy that they would not install my battery that I had bought and they could not sell me a battery because they were out of stock. So I took it back to AutoZone and Chris helped me out. I was hesitant to come back to this location 2805 S dairy Ashford, but we needed a new battery asap so decide to come to that location once more. Luckily, Nebras Y. assisted us. Mr. Les showed me that my battery was not locked and he changed it with one small tool....And he just had thumb surgery! Dealt with this store twice since it's close to my house. First time a battery, one price, one battery $150 bucks, no other options in batteries or price.... I don't think so. Second time, I call to find out if the have a fuel pump in stock. I get the most horrendous customer service I've ever received. Placed on hold because their not at the computer, then they cannot get the year make and model correct and want to argue the point with me. The guy I spoke with was utterly mindless! He couldn't hold information for even 2 seconds after you just told him, "I NEED A FUEL PUMP!!" I know he spoke English... he just didn't seem to understand the words that were coming out of my mouth. Go across the street and go to O'Reilly. I went here for 2 things...car seat covers and a digital clock for my car. I first asked where I could find the digital clock for my car. I was barely able to finish my question, when the Mgr said they dont have any. I told him I saw it online and it said its in stock at this location. He finds it and said its the only one left. Second, I had searched online and found the car seat covers I wanted for $29.99. They rang up $39.99. He said thats the price. I showed him where they were on the shelf and there were about 8 of them in different colors for this price. He looked up on his browser (never showed it to me) and said $39.99. I told him thats for the luxury 700 series, not the 500 series. He refused to give me the online price, which matched the price on the shelf. This place needs some lessons in customer service. Ive had better luck at other Auto Zone locations. It wasnt even that busy either. Just a rude Manager. read more

My family and I are regular customers here. We have never had a problem until today. Alex, one of the sales reps at this location is extremely rude! When I ask him to help me carry the jug of oil I had purchased, because I recently hurt my back and have trouble lifting heavy things, he told me "no, it has a handle, carry it yourself". So I came here yesterday because my battery (I thought) was dead - I had just gotten it back from the mechanic and turns out I didnt drive around enough to recharge the battery so I had to get it jumped a couple times to get it going. Anyway I brought it here to buy a new battery and an employee, Auto, I think, refused to let me buy a new battery without testing it first. Turns out, my battery was fine as well as the alternator and radiator that he also tested for free! I was very impressed with the service at this location. Had he been just trying to make a sale, he would have let me just buy a $120 battery for nothing. Very thankful for his kindness.
