The mechanics are easy to talk to, and they will actually take time to show you what is going on with your vehicle. Free estimates and courteous. Reasonable pricing for their services. read more

James and his sons and staff are the best. Always take care of me and my family on a personal level.

The girl who answers the phone is ghetto, inept and lacks professionalism. Would not recommend doing businesses with this shady place. You take your car in for one issue and get it back with many more! Run! Side note: if you look at the previous bad reviews, the one common denominator is the girl answering the phones. Maybe she isn't meant for this job? read more

I sent my wife here to get an alignment and to find out why the car is pulling to the left. After finishing the work & test driving the mechanic tells her it's still pulling to the left a bit. He took payment without fixing the issue. The whole point of coming up here what's the see why it's pulling to the left and now we went through another tire. read more

Can't recommend this place enough! James' son, Matt, took care of my dead car battery right as they were closing instead of turning me away. This is the first time I've had an issue with my car without my dad here to help me, and Matt did a great job at explaining what was going on and making me feel a bit more confident that I'll know what to do the next time something like this happens. Thanks, Matt! read more

I brought my car in for its regular maintenance, and James gave me a free inspection and a quote for the minor services my car needed. I agreed to the services and price that he gave me. It was a fair and probably one of the most affordable auto shops I could find around the area so I decided to go with it. When I called if I can already pick up my car, James informed me that he had done an additional service that my car needed since they just discovered a leak and said that they will just add this to my total. I got upset not because of the additional price but because of not letting me know before doing the service. I would appreciate it better if they made sure to reach me first before doing anything that was not agreed upon. It was a matter of miscommunication but I think that customer service can always be improved. They offered to not let me pay for the service which I also appreciate. Although, I wish we didn't have to experience this because I liked how they did their business and would like to build a good working relationship with them. James' son, Matthew was very understanding to our sentiments and made the experience less inconvenient. Other than that, their services are very recommendable and I still consider coming back next time. read more

I used to get my car checked at the dealership cause it was a brand new car but over time, the "maintenance" started getting more expensive to the point that my next visit would cost $700+. Instead, I went to this place cause I needed an oil change asap and i met Matthew, who was very helpful and very efficient. Since I don't really know much about cars, I told him a story as to why I ended up going to his shop instead of the dealership, it was because of the $700 maintenance. I showed him the pamphlet that the dealership gave me showing "what's needed to be done" to keep my car in the best shape. He said that all I needed is an oil change and change my cabin filter and everything else listed isn't necessary. Ever since then, I never returned at the dealership and went here instead. Matthew's very knowledgeable on what my car needed or won't need! read more

Customer service is exceptional, came in for my jeep Cherokee batteries changed out And they were changed in a timely man or didn't take long at all. I've been coming to James auto care for years now and I don't plan on going anywhere else! Matt and his dad James always take care of me. read more

I have been a customer at James Auto Care Express for more than five years. James and Matthew his son are both professionals in their appraisals of what repairs are needed. I always know up front what the price will be for the work to be done. James Auto is accommodating. For example when I needed an oil change last week, Matthew said to call and give them 30 minutes notice and they would have a lift available for the service. That's exactly what happened. There have been rare occasions when the part they installed failed within the warranty period and they repaired it a no cost. I recommend their service to anyone. Larry N read more

Came here for a quick oil change and the service was awesome and fast! In and out with my receipt in less than 30 minutes. Thank you, I will definitely be back. read more

What a life saver combo. First the quick action on the tow then the last minute willingness to look at my automotive 911. James could have put me at the end of his already busy work load and I would have had to reschedule and most likely loose a bunch of business. James knew I was a new business owner and my appointments are my livelihood, without hesitation he put my truck on his lift and found and fixed the problem in less than 30 minutes and I was back on the road. He said the repair was so slight he didn't want to charge me!!!!! I was stunned.....his quick thinking enabled me to get back on the road and close over $2,000 in business!!!!! I owe them my gratitude and all future referrals. Thanks James!!!! read more

This is the only place I go to get my car serviced. Friendly and knowledgeable employees who sincerely care about my vehicle and safety! From the very beginning, Matthew has worked on my car and I trust any advice he gives. Whatever the issue may be, my car is immediately worked on and I'm in and out in no time at all. In the past two years I've been in for all my oil changes, my tire rotations/replacement, and they even helped me find a new window for when my car was broken into. They have a customer for life. read more

We can't express how wonderful the people at James Auto Care are!!! Friendly, caring, trust worthy and honest. My daughter is a student at UH and has never really been away from home. So when she had car problems with her older model car we were very worried about where she could go for repairs. So far, they have gone above and beyond communicating with us from long distance making sure we knew what repairs they were doing, showing our daughter the work, and even teaching her some basic car maintenance. They are very family oriented with several employees that have been there a long time and all of them have made the extra effort to take excellent care of my daughter. I have no concerns about their integrity. We thought my daughter's car would have serious expensive repairs but it turned out to be reasonable inexpensive repairs each time. There are plenty of repair places out there that would take advantage of a young driver by recommending unneeded or expensive repairs but not here. They are FABULOUS!!! read more

The service was exceptional! My car window was broken into, and they let me drop off my car the same day right before they closed. My window was finished by the next day. read more

I was referred to James Auto Care Express by a family friend when I needed help evaluating used cars I was inspecting before I bought my daughter's first car. With each car they checked out, I got honest, clear ideas about them that made my final selection process easier. I was so happy with their straight forward answers that when I needed repairs on 2 other maintenance issues came up a month later I immediately brought them to their shop. James and his son quickly identified the solutions and resolved the issues I had at a price that was very competitive. It was not only the great price for their work, but the confidence I left with that I was supporting a family owned and operated business that cared about their work and service to their neighbors in the community. After I referred a friend to them and she told me she felt "like they really cared about doing the right work for the right price," I had to post this review. Don't take your car anywhere else. This place deserves your business! read more

Took my suburban here today to fix a few issues I had. I am totally satisfied with how they handled my car. The service was great and my car is running like if it's brand new. BEST SERVICE EVER! These guys are the greatest! They've helped me with several major issues I've had and have been so happy every time! I initially went to them when my car needed some transmission work. I was so pleased with the communication! They made sure I understood what the problem was and my options for repair. I felt so comfortable during the entire process so it was a no brainer to return to them when my a/c started to give me problems. I was again super pleased! I now go to them for all of my maintenance services and recommend them to everyone. :) read more
