The staff are extremely friendly, and the service is fast (I was out of there in about 10 minutes total). You can book online and usually get a discount. They also accept walk-ins. I've usually had very poor experiences with smog check places in the past, but this place is great; very professional. I booked an appointment online for the morning before going to work. He said it would take 10 minutes, seemed like it took less. I was late on renewing my registration and they were able to contact the DMV and get me a sticker right there for and extra $20. I was also surprised that I was able to pay my whole registration fee through them as well. One stop shop! Plus there is chocolate involved! read more

Another quick, efficient, and seriously friendly smog check. It couldn't be any better unless they came to your house! No appointment? No problem, they will fit you in. Forget your DMV renewal notice? No problem, they can access it via your registration. Have a coupon or an online appointment? Save $10 or $20. Each guy is so cheerful and fast; I mentioned that this time it had taken all of 11 minutes stem-to-stern (two minutes of me filling out the form), the laughing reply was "Next time I will try to do better". This place is efficient and fast! I made an appointment so I wouldn't have to wait, however there wasn't a wait for the person who came in after me without an appointment either. There was only one person working so they were the smog tester and the cashier so maybe wait times get lengthier when they are busier but I didn't have a problem. The man working also couldn't have been friendlier or more informative and he really took the time to be clear. You don't even have to go to the DMV again for your stickers if you don't mind spending an extra $30. Also you get a complimentary Ghirardelli Chocolate square with the cutest smiley face napkin! These guys were awesome, so friendly. They got my car right in the same day and it took only about 20 minutes. And they leave a little chocolate on your dash as a thank you. I have a lot of smog check stations in my area but after reading the "not so good" yelp reviews for those places, I opted to travel all the way to Berkeley to get mines done. Like many others, I too bought a groupon for this place. But I went in without making an appointment. No biggie, they accommodate walk-ins. These guys are quick and very friendly. I didn't check the time, but I know it wasn't too long. I was actually expecting it to take longer, but bam! Willy said I was all done. He was even nice enough to share some spots in the area that would be good to get a drink or two after work. That's a plus in my book, especially since I'm not familiar with the area. read more

$40 if you mention you found them on Yelp - I was in & out in a pretty efficient manner (not the 10 minutes stated by some reviewers, but there was only one person working when I showed up & two cars ahead of me - I was still out in less than 40 min, though).
