Fast smog and cat cafe next door. Itty bitty Rowen - this beautiful white cat pawing at the glass as I waited made the time go by quick. Convenient driveway and drive through to next street so easy and intuitive to exit. Clean inside and instructions: put dmv paperwork on dash, turn off car, pull up to line... This little detail makes things work faster. People know what to do when they enter. Fast smog. Don't remember the price - I try not to fixate on money - not that that is a good habit or bad habit - I just don't like to let money be the #1 factor that dictates my every move from day to day. Took my Civic there I think. I'm not even sure to tell you the truth - I own more than one vehicle. The lady there quickly told me the car was ready (that all the I/m monitors were green). Very impressed with even how quick she found the port under the dash. Don't think i ever used it - it is a Honda after all. I stepped outside and immediately next door was a cat cafe. Took a few more steps and found little Rowan pawing at the glass saying hi to me. I later visited with a friend a few days later. He is very sweet and very popular. This is likely the cheapest place to get a smog - I just happened to be driving by. Whenever I think of people chasing coupons or the best deals I think back to this tv show where this friend waves around a bit of cash to 'dare' somebody to do something. My civic is probably the cheapest transportation and the last of the best Hondas without direct injection, a turbo or a cvt transmission. Others buy it bc its cheap - i did becuase of respect for something that can go 600k miles without major work. A respectable car. I feel like a puppet in a puppet show if I lean into following money too much. Buy stuff or go places becuase it is cheap or do so becuase you like it. Up to you. read more

Came in on a Saturday and there wasn't a long wait. The staff were polite and efficient and got to the smog check immediately. They contacted the dmv for me and made the whole process super simple! I couldn't have asked for a better, quicker experience. Thanks! read more

Good place to get your smog checked. My car's self diagnostic tests had fully reset due to a battery change, tests which need to be completed to get a passing grade for my registration. They explained what tests my car had to run during a drive, and I was able to find a step by step guide for my make and model to make sure those were all completed. I came back in and they didn't charge me twice, which was nice. read more

4 Less Smog Check - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Oakland, California

Only place I get my car smogged. I come here every time. Great service every time. Usually done under 20-30 mins.

I went here off a referral and couldn't have been happier with the service. I was literally in and out of the location in under 20 minutes. The price was more than affordable and they also have a coupon which takes off a little bit available at their website. I would recommend this location to anyone who is need of a smog check. 5/5. read more

My first time needing a smog check for my car so I did a quick search of somewhere close that maybe had a discount. If you fill out a Contact Form on their website you can get a discount! So I went here. Funny enough, I used to live across the street from this place, but never noticed it because the building is somewhat unsuspecting. It feels like you're driving into a show room or something. Don't worry, you're in the right place, just drive on in. What was a just a necessary errand to run turned out to be quite a pleasant experience! The staff there are all incredibly friendly, helpful, and efficient. I went around 11am on a Thursday and there was one person in front of me. It definitely got progressively busy while I was there. The garage is much cleaner than I expected and there is some seating inside to wait. I'd definitely come here again, just because the staff were so friendly, definitely worth the value. read more

This is the fourth time I've taken my car here. I can't recommend them highly enough. Although they were very busy, I was in-and-out much faster than I anticipated. I had also forgotten some of my paperwork. It didn't matter. The delightful woman who signed me in was wonderful and found all the information needed. And with their coupon, the cost was very reasonable. You can bet I'll be back in another two years. read more

Had to smog my mom's car and get her car registration about was due next week. Called them after checking their review at the yelp and Star answers the call and quoted me a price and off we drove to that business establishment . Good service and will definitely recommend them. Fast and efficient and mind you this was on a Saturday and we were able to accomplish the task the same day,car smog and Triple A to pay the car registration for 2026. Quick service, friendly and professional employees. What's not to like? I arrived Tuesday at 2:30 pm, left within 20 minutes.

Don't do what I did and park on the street while you then watch a couple of other cars head straight into the garage lol. Head on through to queue up your car and wait until the attendant comes to you. There's a waiting room where you can choose to wait or if you'd like to venture out, there's a couple of spots to kill time nearby. Don't wander too far, though, because this place probably processes through each car in under fifteen minutes. Even with a three cars ahead of me, I probably wasn't there for more than an hour. I really appreciate the prompt, efficient, and fairly priced service ($57.25). I'd definitely come back. read more

Good service good quality and good value. Good Customer Service also and the prices are pretty inexpensive.

Best smog in town. Fast, cheap and friendly. I usually do some grocery shopping across the way while I wait and every time my car is ready before I'm out. read more

In and Out in less then 10 minutes!!! Very professional and friendly workers. I would highly recommend

Fast. Efficient. Affordable. Friendly. There isn't much to say about my experience at 4 Less Smog Check. For the first time, I needed a smog check for my vehicle as part of its annual renewal, and this place kept appearing at the top of review lists. Since they are local to where I live, I decided to show up earlier today around 3pm. No appointment was needed. I drove onto the premises and was seen within a minute of arriving. Less than 15 minutes later, I was told that my vehicle had passed inspection and was ready to go. When I left, a few cars were waiting to get in, but they were moving quickly. I'll definitely return here if I need another smog inspection done. read more

Super easy process. I pulled up and checked in on yelp to get the $31.25 deal. They told me to wait in their waiting room and they finished in 10 minutes and I was out the door. No fuss no muss. Only place I've gone in last 15-20 years with my 5-6 rides since. First come first served. Don't forget the Yelp check in deal. Did I mention the nice peeps that work here? read more

Friendly small business, fast, professional, affordable. I've been going here for years and the are always excellent.

Do not go here. They turned me away because they didn't want to deal with my 1999 Boxster. All this after having gone there many times in the past. They made up nonsense about my having to remove my engine cover. I asked where. The gal working there opened both trunks and couldn't find it. A mechanic tells me that it is stupid simple to smog a Boxster. Either they didn't know what they were doing or felt that my car would take them too much time. read more

WHEN: Monday @11am Well I'll be damned. This place is so amazing. It's been so long since I brought in any car for a smog check and I rightfully am nervous about the whole process (like do I give them the paperwork? Will they give me one to mail back? Do I need to explain anything? Etc) Anyway, place is easy to spot and they have an entrance you just drive right though, and stop where there's a stop sign. Star immediately came to me after she finished speaking with another customer. She told me exactly what I needed to do: - Give her my DMV paperwork - Fill and sign a form - Leave the keys in the ignitions and get out They have a waiting area but due to Covid we just wait to the side, it's fine. Before I know it, just 10 minutes later, Star brought me into her office where we completed the transaction, fully explained: - The car passes the smog check! - They will send the certificate to the DMV - I get a copy of that certificate! - A receipt and the application I filled out is all attached to it! Oh wow Star is amazing, I really appreciate her. With the Yelp Check-in Promo, everything came out to be a flat $40! And I was barely there! I just walked to my care and drove straight out. It's like a car wash but smog check. The gentlemen who worked on it bid me farewell. Man the staff here is so amazing!!!! Thank you for making me feel so comfortable. I now know where to go next time! read more
