I had stopped in to buy some windshield fluid, and while I was there decided to replace a couple of dead lightbulbs in my car. Good thing! One of the bulbs was for a hard-to-reach daytime running light. Michael came out to my car to confirm that he had picked out the right bulb, then he replaced the bulb for me! While he was doing this, I noticed that another employee was installing a battery for a customer. Talk about above and beyond! This will definitely be my go-to place for car parts, even though there is a different store closer to my home.

I had to swap out the battery on my wife's Toyota Camry over the weekend and had an extremely…read moredifficult time as I lacked a rachet set at home. While most cars, including my Lexus, has bolts that are easily removed with simply a wrench, Toyota decided they needed to put two different sized bolts to secure the battery in place (a 10mm for the terminal, and a 12mm for the battery frame). And to top it off, the battery frame does not have crossbars that are easily accessible. Instead, you have to finagle a socket extender in between an incredibly small, tight space that only a small child's hand would ever be able to wiggle through. Needless to say, without the proper tools, I could not do this job myself. I called AutoZone and asked if they would be able to assist me despite the fact that I purchased the battery elsewhere, and the person on the phone stated that it would not be a problem. Although this turned out to NOT be the case per their policy when I arrived, Douglas still volunteered to replace the battery for me when I discovered their tools that they lend to customers lacked a socket extender of the proper size. Although the total job took about 20mins due to the poor design employed by Toyota engineers, Douglas still generously assisted with this replacement without any complaints. I really appreciate this outstanding level of service and will definitely go out of my way to this AutoZone for all my auto parts needs!

I took the car to German Auto Sports and they determined right away what the needed repairs were and a fair price for the work. I'll never go back to MB of Oakland - ever.

Read it again. (I guess you have a reading comprehension problem) I said something of irreplaceable value disappeared from my car after I was certain it was left in my car when the car was in your care. Should I have not mentioned that? Why would I not mention it in my review? The item was left in the car. You guys had my car for 3 weeks. When I picked up the car, the item was gone. I also suggested that perhaps it might have been one of the car wash guys who took my item, since I was told you don't wash the cars on site, but instead take it down the street to the car wash place. As soon as I saw it was missing, I called your shop, and asked one of the desk guys about it. He did not apologize or take any accountability for it, and gave a bland reply to my lost item while my car was in the care of your shop with: "I'll ask if anyone's seen it," but then he never got back to me to say "I asked around, no one here saw it. We're sorry this happened," as a goodwill gesture. Why not? Clearly no one there gives a damn about such things. I dropped over $5K grand there, after an exhausting ordeal of over 3 weeks of my car in your shop, knowing full well I was overcharged, and I couldn't get a simple call back? Because you guys are then onto a pricier vehicle. "Old" cars like mine are low priority, I get it. Your weak response to your desk guys not responding to my 10-15 calls in a timely manner, by saying your shops gets "over 300 calls a day" is laughable. You're only open 8 hours. The phone would be ringing literally nonstop if you had "hundreds" of calls a day. Truth is more likely "dozens," and it is a weak, girly-man excuse that you have "too many calls" to respond to people in a timely manner. How do other shops manage it, those that get the same or greater number of calls? You make it sound like there is one or two guys running the whole shop and the machanic has to field calls in addition to his repair work - lol. Every time I have been in there, the two desk guys are relaxed behind the front desk, taking the occasional call. If it is actually "impossible" or "too hard" to return calls in a timely manner WTF do you have your boys tell people "I'll get right back to you," "will call you within the hour" and "will get back to you by end of the day?" It is disingenuous, and at the end of the day, disrespectful to your customers.

Wheelskins used to be a good product. I bought one 10 years ago for a previous vehicle that went on…read moreand lasted perfectly. This latest one is pretty poorly made. Apparently the company has also been sold recently as well. A guy named "Jim" used to own it and was very responsive. Whoever the latest crew is doesn't respond to email at all and barely answers the phone. I tried calling today before writing this review and nobody answers. When I called to have the measurements revised a month ago somebody named "Lauren" answered the phone. Evidently it's hit or miss. They're more expensive and the craftsmanship has fallen off. Even with the correct measurements I'm still having to pull and stretch this thing and even use a shoe horn to get it on the steering wheel, so I'm not sure what's going on. I'm also ending up spending an additional $15 at my shoe cobbler to have him stitch the seams (per his suggestion) where Wheelskins has them GLUED ONLY. And speaking of glue, the glue is hard and flaky/crunchy and falls off with the least amount of pressure. It's not even good glue. It looks like the crunch around the rim of a raw honey jar as it ages. So now the $64 Wheelskins which was more expensive than the $50 I spent 10 years ago for the first one, is now almost $80 - to correct THEIR work. Not a good experience. Don't think I'll be reordering unless they fix their quality control and craftsmanship to previous standards. Not cool. Update: 8/8/22 Emailed the company and a gentleman named "Tony" responded with an offer to replace the cover. Took about 4 days to ship it out and another 4 to arrive. I had him add an extra quarter inch on the length and the width and for some reason it was still difficult getting it on but I got it on. Took me two and a half hours to install. I needed a multi-tool (to pull the needle thru the holes), an exacto knife (to create and punch thru some holes), a thimble (to protect from getting stuck with the needle) and lots of patience cuz some of the holes didn't line up correctly, but the finished product was worth the effort. Adding another star.

I returned to the store couples times, the staff didn't know what to do & the manager wasn't around. This is not only about the $2.26 sales tax on the core that wasn't refunded to me, but more about the store reaping off its customers for not having correctly working software in refunding the amount to its customers plus not very knowledgeable staff about the refund process & inapropriate female staff who treated store customer rudely & held hostage customer's receipts.
