    tldr; Stay far far away from the service department and I urge you to stay away from BMW. Their cars will leak fluids constantly, and they will easily cost double with all the maintenance repairs needed. I've been going here for over 15 years and the Service department has really changed. Service at the dealership is always more expensive, but it was a better experience. Not any longer. Over the years, they have gotten rid of topping off fluids for free. They only cover a Lyft one way. They now charge a 3% credit card fee. They have tried to scam me twice on so called "service promotions". They NEVER apologize when it's clear they were in the wrong. They are constantly wasting my valuable time when I take my car in. This isn't a luxury experience any more. It's nickel and dime-ing and blatant efforts to scam the customer in desperate attempts at a money grab. I was in the market for a new car....I briefly considered another BMW, but so glad I passed on BMW and Weatherford. I sincerely urge others to stay away.

    If you're in the Market for a new/used Mini Cooper, check out the dealership and ask for Shuan Avant. Made the buying experience very easy and relaxed. From test drive, to financing to driving off a dream car (used!) for my daughter the same day. The car was in immaculate and in excellent condition.

    Weatherford BMW of Berkeley is the worst dealership in the Bay Area. I went in for a simple oil change and they suggested me with a $335 "engine diagnosis" because my check engine light was on. Two days later, they quoted me $1,600 to fix a sensor. I passed because it is too expensive. Two days later, after filling my gas tank, the light magically turned off. Just a loose gas cap. They charged me $335 for absolutely nothing. Total scam. Stay far away.

I purchased a 2012 Jeep Wrangler from this dealership for around $18,000. During the sales process, the staff was very friendly and welcoming to the family. I was told the vehicle came with a 24-month / 24,000-mile powertrain warranty, and I was reassured that if anything went wrong I could bring the vehicle back and it would be taken care of. Unfortunately, my experience after the sale has been the complete opposite. After driving the Jeep only about 2,200 miles, the vehicle broke down and had to be taken to a Jeep dealership for diagnosis. I was then informed that the vehicle needs a major repair to the powertrain wiring harness, which is estimated to cost about $5,000. Despite the fact that this issue involves the powertrain wiring, Berkeley Honda has refused to help with the repair and claims that the issue does not fall under the powertrain warranty. What has been even more frustrating is the lack of communication and accountability. When it was time to sell the vehicle, everyone was very responsive and helpful. But once the problem appeared, that support disappeared. Calls have gone unanswered and emails have been ignored. I have only made three payments on this vehicle before this major issue occurred. Now I'm facing a $5,000 repair bill on a vehicle I just purchased, and I've had to take BART to work while trying to figure out how to afford the repair. At this point I am filing complaints with the California DMV and other consumer protection agencies so the situation can be reviewed. My advice to anyone considering buying a used vehicle from Berkeley Honda: * Have a trusted third-party mechanic inspect the vehicle before purchasing * Carefully review what the warranty actually covers * Do not rely on verbal assurances during the sales process I regret trusting the promises that were made during the purchase. I hope sharing this experience helps other buyers make a more informed decision.
