Togo items: short ribs bento box and sushi rolls
Christina N.

Such a nice modern spot to eat Japanese food + Asian fusion dishes. Love taking the family here to dine in but today did Togo.

Honey chicken barbecue bento box and Dragon Roll
Crystal S.

I recently tried a honey chicken bento box and a Dragon Roll, and both were really good. The bento box was a great choice because it came with a variety of items all in one meal. It had a nice portion of rice, fresh vegetables, and a flavorful main dish. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared, and it was very filling without feeling too heavy. The Dragon Roll was delicious and beautifully presented. The combination of flavors and textures worked really well together. Spice could have been a little more but still flavorful. Overall, the meal was satisfying, fresh, and nicely presented. I would definitely order both again.

My wife and I have eaten here a couple times- it's ok, the only real sit down restaurant south of 50. It looks really nice inside, patio looks really nice too, though I've never seen anyone sitting out there, probably because it's at the busy corner of E Bidwell and Alder Creek. That's about where the positives end. Food is average and overpriced - pretty sure the tempura shrimp is from Costco and marked waaayy up. Ordered to go tonight and several nigiri options on the menu are out of stock, was asked if we'd like water while we waited for our food (yes please!) but never got any. South of 50 desperately needs a good sit-down restaurant, cause this ain't it. Business must be good though, pretty sure the owner drives a Lamborghini Urus. Must be all the Costco shrimp!

We have been wanting to try this new spot in Folsom Ranch. First off we were pleasantly surprised at the restaurant style atmosphere with full bar and nice decor and comfortable seating. Servers were very welcoming and friendly. The menu included sushi, bento combinations, ramen, salads and more! There is also patio seating with fire pits. Portions were generous and both chicken entrees were very tasty! We will be back to experience the dinner vibe!

First time eating here and nice to see they are open after hours late (until 11pm) even during the weekdays. Their atmosphere inside is very upscale, modern and clean. They have large tables to accommodate large groups. We ordered a few of the specialty rolls and a couple of the bento box plates. The rolls were priced in the menu at 50% off and they were long with about 8-10 pieces in the roll. Bento box came with a mix of cucumbers, salad, rice and your choice of entry. I got the honey chicken which came with a small spicy sauce. The taste was very good. Price wise the menu was pretty upscale even with the 50% off. Specialty rolls are $20-35/roll minus 50% and bento boxes range from $12-20/box just to give you an idea. Overall, the service and food was good and I would consider going back again to try other dishes.

Been to bento box quite a few times, but have not done a review yet. The inside is very nice with beautiful decor. The servers Seven and Leo are always kind and welcoming with a smile on their face. I've had sushi rolls to bento boxes to the Ramen. Everything comes out spectacular. We don't live far it's a within walking distance so it's a perfect go to spot for lunch or dinner.

Finally, we tried this new-ish place in Folsom. The restaurant is spacious and the staffs are friendly. We came for Sunday lunch and were seated immediately. The sushi roll price is 50% off. - California rolls: good. My kiddo finished it all. - Shrimp tempura rolls: the tempura was crunchy and the sauce was good - Korean fried chicken bowl (spicy): my favorite! The spicy sauce was so good. The chicken was crispy yet the meat inside was tender. They gave lots of chicken pieces. - Tofu hot plate: it was okay and nothing special.

More bones than meat.

We got so happy the first time we tried the restaurant. We ordered their short ribs bento and were delicious. So we ordered online for delivery the next week. Top was presented well and looks good with nice meat. But after few layers, this is what it looks underneath. Where's the meat that we paid for? Are you trying to feed us bones? We are not dogs.

3 item bento box with chicken teriyaki, spicy honey chicken, and Korean teriyaki short ribs.

The hostess was such a sweet guy. I came in at 945. They close at 11. There were about 4 other tables eating. I was greeted, sat and served quickly and the food was absolutely amazing. My son and his gf stopped by as I was finishing my food and the hostess came back by to ask if they wanted any water or anything to eat or drink. I had already ordered food to go but he was so kind in bringing them water. I appreciate the amazing food and extremely kind service.

So chewy and the plating? A big insult to Japanese cuisine.

Food - nothing extraordinary. As one review mentioned, the prices are somewhat $5-6$ more -- now that is understandable but the quality sucks. Ordered a calamari (or at least that is what it says on the menu), it was though, so chewy and overcooked that we barely touched it. The bento was also disappointing. Decor / Ambiance - well decorated and clean since it is fairly new. Service - sub par. Given that they have been open for a few months now, it feels like it's still soft opening.

From the moment you walk in, the space feels intimate, sultry, and effortlessly romantic, with a beautifully executed 1920s speakeasy vibe that makes you feel like you've stumbled upon one of Roseville's best-kept secrets. They require a password to get in of which you can get by following them on Instagram. What really sets House Divided apart, though, is the passion behind it. The couple who owns the place has clearly gone to great lengths to create an exceptional cocktail experience. You can tell they genuinely love their craft, and that attention to detail comes through in both the atmosphere and the drinks. The cocktail menu is thoughtfully curated across a wide range of spirits, with enough creativity and variety to appeal to just about every palate. My wife and I especially enjoy coming here as the seasons change to see what new creations they've introduced, while still being able to fall back on favorites from their regular menu. Their Old Fashioneds are exceptional, and as someone who gravitates toward tequila and mezcal, I'm always impressed by what they do with those spirits. The Cozy Old Fashioned is a personal favorite, but I've yet to have a cocktail here that felt like an afterthought. Everything feels intentional, well-crafted, and true to the personality of the place. If you appreciate intimate cocktail bars, speakeasy culture, and bartenders who truly care about their craft, House Divided is absolutely worth discovering. It has become one of our favorite spots for a romantic drink and a place we genuinely look forward to returning to each season.

We enjoyed: - pomegranate martini: light and fruity, good pomegranate flavor - yuzu lime drop: seasonal for summer only! - the First Lady: strong but smooth; came with a nicely cut ice cube - whiskey sour: classic flavor, executed well The drinks were great but I really wish there was some sort of snack to munch on. Even peanuts or mixed nuts would have been welcome. Adding a small food menu of bar snacks would make me stay longer!

There was plenty of seating on the shady patio, but it was really hot outside, so we opted to wait for a table inside. We had a drink and watched the NBA finals on the TVs (there was no sound so it wasn't noisy). I tried the Mustang Sally cocktail and it was well balanced and delicious! We were seated for dinner pretty quickly. The only problem I had was deciding what to order. The luau shrimp salad? Meatball sub? I finally decided on the lobster mac and cheese. While the portion wasn't large, it was delicious! Creamy and mild with fresh lobster (not fishy) and garlicy breadcrumbs. My husband got the ribeye and was thin but large with great seasoning and veggies. I'm not a big steak fan but I really liked it. We ended up grabbing some beignets to go for the kids, which were really tasty and came with 3 dipping sauces (our favorite was the Berry, although we ended up eating most of them without sauce). The atmosphere was upscale, but very casual, quiet and fun. We saw families with young children, couples on dates, and friends enjoying a meal together. It was the perfect vibe that we were looking for, comfortable, but classy. And the food was high-quality and tasty. We will definitely be back!

Upon entering, the hostess with the brown curly hair was noticeably rude and unwelcoming, which isn't the first impression you'd hope for when celebrating a special occasion. The food, however, was outstanding and was definitely the highlight of the evening. Every dish we ordered was well-prepared and delicious. Service was a mixed experience. While our server was polite, the service was quite slow throughout the meal, despite the restaurant being fairly empty at the time. Overall, the excellent food helped make up for some of the service issues, but the rude greeting and slow service took away from what should have been a memorable anniversary dinner. I hope management addresses these concerns, as the kitchen is clearly doing a great job.

If you cannot resolve a problem, or if it is an ongoing issue, you should escalate it to someone with the expertise and authority to address consumer concerns. Do not wait for customers to approach you after the situation has already deteriorated, especially when a flippant response has shifted the tone of the interaction. Another option would have been to table the conversation for a later time or on a different day until more information was available. What began as a discussion about a product concern quickly became focused on a employee instead of the issue itself. The manager appeared to become frustrated, stated to understand the main concern, yet responded with an unnecessarily intense tone and level of defensiveness. There was considerable deflection, repetition, and what felt like half-truths rather than a sincere effort to work toward a mutual solution. The manager should remember that they represent the Root of Happiness brand. We have been patronizing Root of Happiness for at least 10 years, long before the owners expanded to the Roseville, Midtown, and Rocklin locations. Additionally, over the last few weeks, the Justin's Peanut Butter Cups have seemed unusually dry. It may be the result of a bad batch from the vendor or the effects of extreme weather conditions impacting the product's quality.
