We went on Thursday for dinner because I received a special coupon via e-mail (I signed up for the loyal customers club online). We both had fish & chips ($6.99 all day Thursday only with this e-mail printout. There also were other entrees and drinks on special). We both enjoyed our meals (now served on rectangular plates---the fish and chips were overflowing!) as we usually do, although the service was a tad slow this early evening. Can't wait for future e-mail specials. We'll definitely be going back for their "Dinner for Two for just $19.99" on Mondays---one appetizer to share, two entrees, and one dessert to share---a great deal!. read more

Menu is pretty much the same as the old Piccadilly Pub. Food is pretty much the same too. I thought the menu at the Pic needed an overhaul so I had a hard time finding something to order. Traveling out of the south I wanted a nice bar with good food/menu with local options, nice bartop/barseat and That played sports on tv. Go there and try it. I came back every night and tried something different. Good local craft draft beers. Usually carrying a handful of local beers not 100 local beers. Check it out. Very disappointed about our experience. Our server was nice at the beginning, but when we asked for the check we waited a very long time for her to return to our table to process our credit card, so I flagged down someone else. A couple of minutes later put waitress reappeared, slammed our receipt down on the table, and marched off. I have never been treated that way before. last night was our second time here with a party of 4 , and it was as good as the first. my swordfish special was perfectly done with just a nice hint of lemon pepper, and my friend's Cajun swordfish was also delicious. Kid #2 ordered penne with marina sauce. Husband ordered the Chicken Parm. I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich. The husband liked the restaurant. I thought it was nothing special. I couldn't find any ranch on my sandwich and asked for some. The ranch had a peculiar taste to it. It had something sweet in it. I want to say cinnamon flavor, but that's probably not right. It was a bit weird. The bacon was gross. I like crispy bacon not floppy. Ugh. Fries were boring & tasteless. The kids were excited their meals included with a Hoodsie Cup for dessert. We were seated promptly. Was happy to see the cheese spread it was kind of funny tasting but was ravenous so ate it. Hubby and I were both in the mood for a burger. So we ordered from the special menu the cheddar burger with no chedder. We were served fairly quickly considering the size of the packed parking lot. We both dug in with anticipation. Despite the reviews, decided to try it ourselves as it is close to home. The menu covered all the basics. I had the turkey dinner, my 3 guests had baked stuffed shrimp, sirloin tips and lobster pie. The butternut squash was fantastic. We were all completely satisfied. Was the popcorn a little greasy? Sure, its popcorn. Our waitress was "Frasier" but her name is really Carol. She was very attentive and professional. I didn't often frequent the Piccadily Pub, so I don't have a lot to compare it to. Prices were reasonable, beer choices were good. Sometimes despite the reviews you read, you really need to try a place yourself. We will definitely be back. read more

Took kids for a quick bite, they had the kids burger and I had a salad, the kids burger was big, reasonably priced and tasty. Needless to say I also had a salad. We visited the pub on a Friday night and we happened upon it by chance. My wife and I were in town for a wedding and we were looking for a place to eat and grab a beer. We were driving around and we saw this place, so we decided to stop in. The service was good, the food was really good, and it was a nice place. This was awful! I was hoping it would be like the old Picadilly where at least you knew the food would be decent. Especially certain things like their soups and salads. We got takeout last night and it was awful. The French Onion Soup was salt, over seasoned and the bread inside the soup was BURNT! Then I thought Caesar salad would be better, but it was drenched in dressing. We also got the chicken and broccoli Alfredo... It was so bland and the chicken was just a boiled piece plopped on top. Tried the new Bentley Pub on 8/8/12, it was not good. I had the Fishermans Platter, lots of food, but no flavor, it tasted like it was warmed up in the microwave. This place is the worst!!!!! Waited 20 min for apps. Then asked about them and got a whole story about how busy they are, but soooooo many empty tables. The apps we ordered where soup??? You pour it in a cup, not that hard you would think. The food is all from cans and frozen. The interior rug in this place is more beat up looking than the wait staff. Manager came over to say sorry for the wait and just started arguing with me about "how" busy they are. I think she was just taking her fat aggression out on us. Never going back!! I've been to Bentley's several times when I'm in the area & not in the mood for one of the chain restaurants. It's not terrible but it's not great either. I honestly think the mashed potato is the best thing on the menu. The "chef" at least understands how to cook a medium rare steak but apparently has never learned that a simple thing like salt & pepper seasoning goes a long way so I spend half my meal time shaking it on every bite myself because it's so bland. I tried the Shepard Pie once...never again. The gravy that was on top (really?) tasted like the gravy from a Salisbury steak TV dinner (Yuk!). The decor reminds me of a 1970's country cottage & it's an effort not to go in my pj's. Is good mashed potatoes & mediocre steak enough to go back for? Unfortunately, since I haven't come across any dining options that are better than chili's in the area, yes I'll be back. read more

Fast and friendly...needed a quick place for a pit stop on a long drive with extended family in tow. Food choices were wide and everything came out hot, and as ordered. I don't get all these one star reviews. Went to this place for lunch today and it was fantastic. It's pub food hence the name PUB. We had a lobster roll that was chucked with lobster. The sides were great as well. My father had the squash and he loved it I had the Broccoli which was just steamed but that is what I wanted. The fries were fresh and hot. Hubs had the fish and chips and he said the fish was really fresh and the batter was not greasy at all. And it was a very generous portion of haddock. Good New England Pub food in a casual setting. The food here is nothing special but it's solid. The meatloaf, steak tips and pulled pork tacos are the 3 staple meals I get here. The place could use a little updating. On Wednesdays the have a great special, .50 cent shrimp cocktail which are decent in size. read more

I can't believe that this place only has 2.5 stars. I had an excellent experience here. I came flying in at 9:40pm (they close at 10:00). I sat at the bar; I was the only person in the place (it was a Monday night). They were very nice, took great care of me, kept my Sam Adams full, and I had the best fish and chips EVER in this place. Well for starters we were told 20-30 minute wait on a Friday night at 7pm. Wish we saw the sign that said kitchen closed at 9:30. On a Friday!! Well our 30 minute wait was more like 45 minutes. The waitress was appalled that one of our six needed a separate receipt. And she verbally made that clear. I ordered the lobster "flavored" bisque that was room temperature. Sent it back. The worst meal in town. I ordered haddock on a Friday, it was like an old piece of rubber, and it didn't seem safe to eat, so it was thrown in the trash. My husband ordered a steak, well done, it was cooked on the outside very well done and red in the middle. The loaded potatoes are fake with bits of fake bacon in them. Disgusting. I was driving to New Jersey for business and got hungry so I pulled off and found this place close to the highway. I was craving buffalo chicken and there was nothing on the menu that really hit exactly what I wanted. I asked if they could do a custom sandwich and the obliged. This place exceeded my very low expectations and while it's not something I would go out of my way to get to it is definitely someplace I would stop at again if I happen to be passing around lunchtime. read more
