Went here w my wife for lunch. Help tried to be helpful butbthe kitchen staff was swamped and short servers too. Place was clean and decent. Food i had a monte cristo and my wife a burger. My sandwich was a little overdone but good and she said her burger was good too. If they get staffed right might be back. read more

Monte Christo was super oily and the oil ran out of the sandwich, huge disappointment---way greasy and the oil tasted well used. The egg roll was not a huge disappointment maybe because the item wasn't as oily. Sorry Doordash, this restaurant will never be on my choice again. read more

We usually enjoy eating here. However, this last time not so much. The service was so poor. Our food was good with the exception of the ice cold bread budding which we normally love. Our waitress kept saying she was just slammed with people. There were 4 tables in the whole building and another waitress had 2 of them. Probably have to skip this place for awhile. read more

Bennigan's used to be a staple across the country, now just a few locations remain. Thank goodness this last vestige of American history exists in Mandan! The classic menu is still there (I'm looking at you, Monte Cristo and Turkey O'Toole) and as delicious as ever. The interior is well appointed and very clean. There is a nice porch area outside and a bar area with garage doors that can be opened when the weather is nice. Service was a bit slow, but I think like everyone these days they are struggling to keep staff. We had a great meal and will definitely be back soon! read more

We were not seated for several minutes even though a number of staff were milling around and there were few patrons. Both menus were coming apart at the seams and did not feel clean. Our meals were good and service was okay. We are not likely to go back. read more

My husband and I came in tonight for dinner. We were seated and waiting for 25 minutes and no one bothered to great us let alone get us drinks. We had a waitress walk by a few times and never even looked at us. I finally went to the prep area and asked if we could get some kind of service as 2 tables that were seated after us had service. We finally got order in and our food came out and my husbands steak was raw. Took our waitress 10 minutes to check on us. She put the steak back in and it still came out pretty raw. Then we got our ticket and nothing was discounted. I had to ask for a discount because of everything. Safe to say I won't be coming back. read more

Decent place to eat, not great. Sometimes the customer service is good and sometimes it's not. Sometimes the food takes really, unusually long to come out, and sometimes it's moderate. One continuous issue though is that my drink never gets refilled. I have to like waive the waiter/waitress down to let them know. I think management should train them to look for empty drinks and then offer a replenishment. I usually get the Hogan's Eggrolls. I'll update my review, I come here occasionally. read more

The server was super nice and the bread pudding was pretty good but thats where my good comments stop. The Reuben Fritters had hair in them... baked in. The manager did take that off my bill. The server walked up as I was lifting the lot of them from the basket like a string of turnips by the hair. I understand that that kind of thing happens but they were strung together like ben-wa balls by the hair. The server came by at least four times to tell us she was sorry about the wait. You would think after waiting for an hour the food would be freshly cooked and its a sloooow night in here. I ordered the full rack of ribs. If you are from a Southern state do not get these. They were cold and the bbq is no bueno. I ordered the Stout Bloody Mary.... I love a good bloody mary but this was not a good one. The addition of ground bacon and salt on the rim was god awful. The smell of the drink reminded me of Copenhagen. I am thoroughly unimpressed. Our fries were room temp! I do like all the nice large TVs in there and the patio area looks to be very nice and would like to try it out in the spring or summer but I will not return. The Bennigan's back in the day were one of the best places in town. Now I know why they shuttered the doors. I don't want to leave a star. I do feel bad because the server was super nice and attentive. Not her fault. read more

I sat at the bar, it wasn't very busy, I placed a simple order of chicken strips and a salad. I asked for the salad first, instead I got the salad at the same time as the tenders. I specifically asked for the separate items as I like to eat my salad first. The fingers were good, the salad was good, I like the smokey honey mustard dressing/dip as well. I would have preferred to get my food as I asked so 3 stars is all they get 3 stars. read more

I guess I should have checked the reviews to start. Sat at the bar with my 21 year old son. He forgot his is I more than vouched for him. The manager was a total b!/@h. I was not impressed, i had ordered the steak and i got a very tough cut of meat, i let them know about this and they did absolutely nothing. i still was charged the full price and i was not offered a new one. we also ordered a half rack of ribs and were given a full rack. the cooks mistake, but we were charge an extra $4 for this even though it was their mistake. read more

1. Ordered 2 rueben's , the bread is a very light rye bread. Taste like wheat bread. Also, the sandwiches were soggy. 2. The server didn't ask what size pour for wine. She assumed a 89 year old women would drink a double. Bad assumption! 3. The server came by once after the dishes were "just" set on the table. No real time to truely request anything. I'll tell ya, I've eatin at Bennigan's twice. The first time I had a pork chop mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. It all tasted like it came out of a grease trap and was cooked all together. I'm a hungry man and I'm Not what you'd call too picky , so I thought eh maybe I'll get something "better". So a friend and I went and the first thing the waitress does is greet us and says one of you forgot to sign your slip last time. Ok. First of all , have SOME courtesy. What she was saying is , one of you gave me money wrong last time. I worked service industry for years and ya know the card processes whether the slip gets signed or not. Plus we tipped her well enough the first time. Second of all if you're so NOT busy that you can remember two randos who had lunch a week ago AND that , then you're not busy enough to sustain your life. Basically she was a jerk , undeserving if even a dollars tip. Awesome service. Lol. Thirdly and most important, I asked for a steak , they didn't have that steak, they ran out. Hmm. Not busy at all. Run out of steak ok. So I go for the chicken plate, out of that chicken. I say "lady one more thing you don't have and I'm leaving." So I order an ATROCIOUS "sirloin" steak. And basically it tastes terrible. Like burnt Chinese food. One of the worst experiences I've ever had. Went once that was a mistake, but when I went back to Bennigan's, that's when I knew not only should I never have gone there, I should DEFINITELY never been again. Btw my friend ordered a SANDWICH and got sick from it IMMEDIATELY. The depression and ibs this place will induce cannot be stressed enough. Never eat there. Go to freids. read more

Great new addition to the Mandan/Bismarck restaurant options. I have eaten here several times since they opened and have always been pleased with the food and service. Portions are generous and flavorful, plating is pleasing and service is good. Don't leave without the bread pudding (I always have to share as it is huge and am already full from my meal) it is SO delish !!! read more

Friday night, 6:30, enter Bennigans. 3 girls leaning on the cash register, several people waiting in waiting area, several tables empty in dining area and bar area. Wait staff says at least 20 to 30 minutes for a table, because the cooks are backed up! Never heard that before! They must think we were REALLY hungry, or their food was super special. I've been to Bennigan's many times since it is close to where I live. Love so many of the dishes I can't really single one out as my favorite. I do wish that the beer selection would include more local brewery selections (prefer porters). The staff always makes me feel welcome and appreciated. read more

What a terrible experience. We had two appetizers and two cups of soup. We ordered at five after nine but were charged full price for our happy hour appetizers. Our food took 25 minutes and the soup was lukewarm. Our server was pleasant and quickly had it microwaved but I'm concerned it wasn't held at an appropriate temperature for safety. read more

Service was bad and incorrect. The waitress brought child shake to the table with the lid teetering on top on the whip cream and of course child spilled thinking the lid was on it. She didn't offer to help us clean it but after taking our orders while the child cleaned it with 4 cloth napkins offered to bring us more napkins. Food was not great. One item wrong so I sent back and only had soup as service was also slow and we were cutting bedtime close for the children. Salads bacon was fake bacon bits and no one at our table would eat it. The French onion soup tasted like salt water. The Loaded Baked Potato soup did not disappoint but almost everything else did. read more

Like another reviewer I also had a hair in my food. I ordered the chicken with the mashed potatoes and green beans. Mashed potatoes and green beans were pretty good. The chicken was mostly bones I was able to get maybe two or three bites of actual meat and even that was fatty. So basically paid over $25 for potatoes green beans and a beer with a side of hair. read more

My wife and I came for dinner. The beer was cold and the appetizer onion rings were great! Dinner was a disappointment. Service was very poor (no attentiveness at all)! My wife's potato soup was grossly undercooked (potatoes were hard & uncooked). Steak was grisly and just mediocre! Perhaps worst of all, however, was the 6 inch long hair in the cole slaw! It's been 6 months since we were last at this restaurant and it will be much longer than that (if ever) before we would even think about returning! read more
