Decided to check out the Benjamin Moore at Taraval for our paint. Previously we purchased Benjamin Moore at the Geary Blvd store for our bathroom remodel because they had a color consultant that was very good. Since I knew we were painting the rooms white, we decided to just check the Benjamin Moore at Taraval for our paint. The service is great here. You may have to wait as it seems they are pretty busy with contractors stopping in for purchases. The personnel here is super helpful and the prices on the Benjamin Moore paint are good! Both stores the Taraval or Geary Benjamin Moore is a great place to pick up your paint for your project. read more

I don't normally leave review but this store really screwed me. I told him that I have a house next to the ocean and needed extremely durable exterior paint for a project. Long story short, they recommend a paint that is completely inappropriate for my project and I have just spent a whole bunch on labor having people pay my house. Completely unbelievable. I tried to talk to someone at the store and they told me they had no idea why someone recommended the paint that they did. Very frustrating read more

i provide handyman service and work on lots of projects and Matt has been my go to guys for many many years. Dealing with creative has always been a great experience read more

This place is an amazing resource due to the expertise of Matt and Yutong. Matt is always on hand, and I was surprised to learn he works six days/week. Surely the management at Creative Paint can take better care of this valuable employee and expert advisor to us all. read more

I this this is a gem in the Parkside. Whenever I go in there they are always helpful & will go the extra yard. Today, I went in there for a more advanced type primer. Not only was I directed to the primer area but found a primer that I wouldn't have considered. While I was talking to the gentleman, he took the can & stuck it in the machine to mix up better while we kept talking. Pretty much have everything..good shop. read more

Great place very nice service good selection but Benjamin more always have a goods aint comparing to other stores the price is 25 to 30% more expensive than in it other stores like your callummore or done Edwards or Shirley Williams. But the quality of the paint is great and now wonderful selection read more

The owner/guy managing the store could benefit from a training on how to treat customers. He was rude and condescending. I went to the store with my 8 year old and he too picked up on how badly this man behaved. I went in to get two paint tubs shaken up and purchase new paint. He was puzzled at my elementary knowledge of paint. Ummm I am not Benjamin Moore. Treat your customers with respect and try smiling a little while serving customers. Horrible service! read more

I'm a home owner in the Parkside/sunset. My home is probably worth a million + . I like to support my neighborhood merchants. I walk all through my neighborhood looking for local businesses mostly for convenience, close to home. My brother-in-law is a professional house painter & I had asked him to paint my home. He said he could take care of everything. I told him ( he lives in Antioch) I'll get the paint from'BMC' which is several blocks from my house. My 1st visit I was waiting for the this guy to finish smoking his butt outside his store. I went inside thinking he would follow me in. He ignored me . Of course I left. Thinking,he's maybe on a break I let it slide. I came back several days later. Same guy. He's talking in deep conversation with a non-customer talking about bicycles & riding. After several minutes I got tired of listening to this BS and left. How can anyone do business or stay in business with this kind of attitude ? I mean what does he think I'm doing there? Honestly, I can't tell what I possibly did to be treated this way. I never had the chance to speak to this person. I see this guy in front of (his?) store smoking cigarettes every time I walk by, it's not like he's that busy. As a matter of fact I don't think I've ever seen him sell anything! He must be independently wealthy that he ignores paying customers read more

I very much appreciated the hours of opening at 0700, so you could get your paint before the work day started. The store was large, with all the painting options that you needed. The price was a little more compared to chains, but I think it is important to support your local businesses. The customer service was fantastic, and if I need more paint or supplies I will certainly go back there. read more

Came in this morning for some paint. Great costumer service. Loved how quickly I was out. The person who helped me even carried all my purchases to the car! Will come back when in need of paint products. read more

How lucky am I to have this fun li'l paint store right in the 'hood?! So far we've just been running back and forth getting creative, buying small samples and putting them up the walls to mull over....but the staff has been very helpful and patient through the process, and pretty soon we'll be buying gallons of the stuff. I thought about shopping around for different types of paint, but a recent Yelp talk thread convinced me that Benjamin Moore was the way to go....the overwhelming fave of ye olde yelpers apparently. read more

I recently moved into a condo that hadn't been painted in years and oh man did it need a nice new coat (or three, including primer). Side note: I cannot wait until that mint green in the kitchen gets covered up. I started reading way too many home improvement/DIY blogs and for some reason decided only Benjamin Moore paint was good enough for my little condo and nothing other than their super duper expensive Aura line would do. But instead of letting me swoop in and out with what might not have been the right pricey product - the guys at Creative Paint asked a bunch of questions and suggested options that they thought would work best for my home. I appreciate that. I think I also probably saved some money in the process. And they carried the paint to my car. Super! read more

I am a painting fanatic, okay no I've painted my apartment twice now, but with all the different paint stores I've been to, this is my favorite HANDS DOWN! John and staff are wonderful...always offering to bring the paint to my car (I had an injured arm) and were so helpful! They even have an account for you, so you can keep track of what you got in case you are messy and can't read the label! Once I even called in for another quart and they had it in the comp and I just walked in and paid!! Also, Benjamin Moore has this paint called AURA...NO VOCs, No Order, Good for environment, kids and pets...cost more, but most def worth it!!! The paint is high quality and doesn't come off when you pull off the tape from your trim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I tried using Behr's paint with no VOCs to save $, but now I have to touch up all the edges...Don't make my mistake! the extra money you spend is well worth it!) I have my hallway and bedroom left and be sure, I'm coming back!! There is always parking on the side or in front and they're open 7 days a week...they close early though 5:30 during the week, can't remember saturdays, but sundays at 2:30pm! read more

I came in here for some paint samples. The gentleman who helped me was super friendly and patient, taking his time to explain the different brands offered by BW and the different finishes. I appreciate the personable service in the neighborhood. read more

Nice store, plenty of colors and various type of quality paints to choose from. The store is well lighted and they have friendly staff to help you. Enough with the niceties, be sure before you walk out...CONFIRM you get the paint you want!!!! I left the store with trust that the boys knew what I wanted and asked for. I asked for gloss and they gave me flat paint. They even labeled it to what I wanted. When I first rolled on the paint I thought something was funny and thought that the paint will shine when dry....I was wrong...they were wrong...it was all wrong.... More time and money wasted. Be forewarned. Learn from my mistake and make sure you get what you want. read more

A gentlemen by the name of Mike was nice enough to contact me after the initial review. Really refreshing to know a owner of a small business be proactive with even a "small" client like myself. Everyone there is so helpful and friendly. All of the guys that work there really take the time to help each customer. This is no kept secret, as they can get very busy! But if you are patient, they take the time with each and every customer. They are extremely knowledgeable. Ask for Tom, he can give you great tips and advice with your painting. They all ask a lot of questions so they can better help you!! read more

Wow, I'm surprised to see any positive reviews for this business. My experience yesterday, 8-16-19 @ 4 p.m, was not a good one. I never write reviews but must do so for the employee/owner? that I spoke with. I needed flat white paint for my livingroom ceiling and was hoping someone from this store could steer me in the right direction pointing out a couple shades that might work. From the minute I walked in the door he was cold, condecending, arrogant and seemed annoyed that I was taking up his time. When I asked for help he just glared at me and said, "We have 150 different shades of white!" I said I was aware of that, which is why I was hoping he could give me some guidance. When he got even more agitated, I then said "I think I need to go somewhere else to get the help I need." He then changed his tone slightly and in a nervous, uncomfortably way said, "I'm trying to show you, the colors are over here." He immediately grabbed two samples and pointed out two shades that were just what I was looking for. So why didn't he do that from the start and spare me all the rudeness. He then went back to his old ways and asked me two questions that he knew I wouldn't know the answer to such as "What finish do you want?" I'm a pretty easy-going person and was just hoping for a little customer service, but after yesterday's experience will NEVER give this location my business. (If this person who waited on me is so miserable and hates his job, he should find another line of work.) read more

Great communication and wonderful selection! Their location is easy to get to via the L or car!

I think I found my new paint store. Their about to color match is fantastic. Probably the best in th city. Customer service was also great. Thanks Richard! read more

I came in for paint strip samples, and had the numbers from the website. Matt knew exactly where each one was and made great recommendations to the type of sheen I should choose for each for my office. Super helpful and a credit to this store. Thanks for all your help, Matt! read more

Love this place. I was helped by a lovely man who encouraged my to look at my paint samples outside the store in natural light, helped me pick out a good brush that wouldnt break my budget, and even carried my three gallons of paint to my car. Now that I think about it, it was a little like buying paint in store where they actually care about your business (I won't mention the opposite incarnation of such, but I will tell you their initials are Home Depot) read more

Solid, personable, service oriented crew. Reliable products, quick in and out..What else could you ask for?

Great place for BM paints. The service is great. The guy behind the counter really made sure we were satisfied with our colors and had great knowledge of products. A bit pricey but otherwise a good investment for your environment. read more

I love this store. Cliff and the rest of the staff are wonderful. Parking is not the best, but the customer service more than makes up for it. They carry a great selection of the Benjamen Moore paints, including Aura (BM's low voc paint). It aint cheap, but I have finally found a paint that is durable, makes colors pop, and does not gas me out or cause migraines (if I paint during the day, I can sleep in the room that night)! Now, I am anal about color. It initially took me a year to paint my apartment, which is pretty bad. But, if you want something simple or have a difficult time picking colors, check out the Aura "Affinity" paints. BM spend several years creating this palate, and every single color is designed to work together. The only thing you have to worry about is the lighting where your painting. And this store (unlike others), carries every single sample of this line. read more

Lowest price on Benjamin Moore paint in the Sunset.

I can't say I have ever met a staff of professionals like in this store in my over thirty five years of DIY painting. They are knowledgeable, treat customers with absolute interest and respect. No matter who works here everyone is on the same page, treating customers with respect and more importantly they teach you how to really understand paints and painting. The other best news is that their paint quality can't be matched by the other brand name paint stores. I just find this store and their Geary location (which offers Saturday design service) to reflect a style of business which is almost impossible to find now a day. The owner definitely knows what it takes to create a successful business and how to only hire "pro's". Been to a store lately and walk out smiling. Try them! read more

So happy to have this paint store in my neighborhood! I've done a lot of paint jobs last year, and I loved to go there. Super helpful personnel, they always went beyond what I expected! Quality of paint is also superior to what I've been using before, without costing an arm and a leg :) read more

this is the place to go for ben moore products in the city. in fact the only place that comes close to them is the creative paint store @ Webster st. they know their products, won't over sell you and they do superior color matches. 5 stars all the way for Matt, Tom (on weekends) and Richard (when he needs to fill in) read more
