I asked information about some item 1st of all when she saw me she was trying to get away from me. I ignored that and I was trying to take a picture of the item I choose for research she didn't let me to take a picture of it she said you have to buy it now. That lady was very rude. Very very rude this was worst customer service I have ever seen and I would not buying anything from this store and according before anything I bought from this store was the bad quality. Well, you just have to be slender enough to walk from aisle to aisle. Pleasant customer service and cash accepted. Oh hell no..I jus went in to check if they carry stove fan filters..the nice man helped me.he suggested I bring the old one in before buying.but I also need clear light bulb.which he also helped me..got to cashier the lady told me don't waste our time helping u and u don't know the size of filter..like REALLy !!! I couldn't believe this guys BS today. I go in to buy a pice of sheetmetal. The bin indicates $6.49. The price matches the tag on the item. I go to pay and he charges me over 15% higher. I indicate that the price is $6.49. He doesn't even care to look or match the tag on the item to the bin price. (There were several pieces in the bin) He just tells me, "the price of metal changes everyday. Do you want it or not?" Are you shitting me??? This is what you tell your employees to say. The price changes with the market of scrap metal???!!! Maybe I should check the NASDAQ or DOW Jones averages before I buy anything at this store. read more

With the "stay home in place" I've been doing lots of home projects ie, painting , cleaning and gardening , organizing my garage and you name it. The owner made my day. I had dropped an AirBud down my bathroom sink (don't ask) and had tried unsuccessfully for 3 days to remove it. It looked like I would have to disconnect the pipe. Today I was having lunch on Ocean Avenue and noticed this hardware store across the street. I went in, explained my predicament, and the owner (Mr. Long? I apologize for not asking his name) looked for something I could use. When it was not found, he loaned me -- a complete stranger -- the tool he had for just such a task. Came here yesterday afternoon with my uncle for some circuit boxes. It seems like small store, but they have literally everything we were looking for. It's super convenient too! Gotta love the convenience of the Ingleside neighborhood! Also, Desmond who works there is always very friendly! They also make copies of keys here too! The only downside, which doesn't actually hurt the rating is that is pretty cramped in there in some areas, but it's expected given such a small space. read more

Horrible customer service, doesn't provide measurements of the pipes, doesn't want to help. When you ask for sizes the person gets mad and asks tells you that you have an attitude and refuses to help, and says he doesn't know the sizes. I enjoy helping small businesses and mom and pop shops in SF, but this one isn't worth it. read more

This hardware store literally has everything you'd ever need. Sure, it's cramped and every square inch of space is stocked with goods, but that is what I love about it. The guy who manages the store is also super helpful. He isn't phony nice and doesn't bother to chat with his customers like some folks do, but a hardware store isn't where one goes to find "friends" so I am cool with his demeanor, as long as he knows what he is talking about, and he does. I'd found everything I ever needed from a hardware store right here in this neighborhood gem and I love the store. Highly recommend. read more

Instead of another cafe that sells overpriced drinks, this hardware store is exactly what Ocean Ave. needs and I'm glad Win Long is open for business. I got several keys copied here and it took only about a minute for them to be made. Prices depend on the type of key, but my household keys were just $2 per key. Besides the plethora of hardware parts you can find here, I've also picked up various household items like light bulbs and coffee filters here for prices lower than at the drug store. The young man that's always working here is polite, bilingual, and very helpful. I even saw him open up the packaging for a part so that a customer could test to see if it was compatible with what he needed. Credit cards are accepted too which is a + !! The only negative thing to say about the store is that it is a bit cluttered and will definitely freak you out if you are claustrophobic. Every inch of space is utilized in the store (and even outside on the sidewalk) so there are things literally everywhere you look, and overstock items that won't fit on the shelves are placed on the ground. It's nice that a good hardware store opened up down the street. I needed a deadbolt lock and debated about heading down to Home Depot. I decided to try the new hardware store instead. The deadbolt locks were of course the ones on the shelf that weren't priced, so I had to ask the friendly clerk to check for me. The locks were a few dollars more than Home Depot, but not such a big difference that it was worth the drive to DC. So I'm sure to be going by regularly for hardware supplies! read more

Recently my bf's car was broken into and some of his stuff was stolen including his keys. Came here to make copies and was priced fairly. Service was quick and keys work perfectly. They also have a lot of other household stuff and hardware. This place is tiny. Parking is a nightmare, of course all of the Ocean Ave is a nightmare. They have the a good staff and plenty of product, but even getting through an aisle can be tasking because they are narrow. I was glad to see a good hardware store in my area again. I used to buy from Mr. Moresi back when it was Jules Hardware, in same location. The new people are helpful and they have an amazing selection of merchandise with reasonable prices.I purchased a drawer organizer a new broom, and they also did a good job making me a key. As I left I noticed some hanging Ducks in the window of Ming Kee Resturant so bought one to go. The New building at the intersection of Capital and Ocean Ave are a good thing for our area.
