My husband and I went on a Friday afternoon to catch their Happy Hour and found out that because it was Valentine's Day the next day (Saturday), they cancelled their Happy Hour for the Friday before. When we asked the Manager about it, they stated because it was a holiday weekend. Last time I checked, Valentine's Day was only one day. We stated we came for the Happy Hour and they had no problem letting us walk out. Between drinks and food, even with Happy Hour, we still would have spent over a $100. We had a great time! We made a reservation and were seated quickly upon arrival. Our servers were great and kept our drinks filled. We had Ian for our chef. Every thing tasted amazing and he was hilarious! He was on top of everything! It seems a little pricey but for a great dinner and a show it was worth it. Way too expensive for what we got...the vegetable consisted of a half of a thin slice of zucchini per person and a small portion of an onion divided among six people. We were charged a $9 upcharge for fried rice plus $2 for teriyaki sauce. The salad was "bagged lettuce" with a chemical taste and the soup got served at the same time the entree was ready. So I've debated writing this review for a couple days. We went to this restaurant Sunday night. Called ahead (several hours) for a party of 7. When we arrived they had our numbers wrong. Not a big deal. We added a chair but ended up cramming in with another family. Then we waited 1.5 hrs before they even came out and cooked. Food was mediocre at best. Service was atrocious. We waited over an hour and still no service after we ordered. Still the cook was not prepared. The manager was rude as hell and at this point we over it'. Update: After getting sick from my meal, I had to bring my stars down to 2 stars. 1 star goes for the food but 5 stars goes to Will and the friendly staff. Will was a kind and friendly waiter and bartender. We were honestly a crap show when we got here because it had been so long since I had been to Benihana so we had no clue what to order with the chaotic menu. Lol. I usually order the filet and shrimp half and half at all the hibachi restaurants I visit, but it didn't come with their special. Plus you had to sit in the lounge only. Well that seemed to be our first mistake. We got the taste of Benihana special. So first came the onion soup which was good, the salad was drenched in dressing (I like a lot of dressing usually) but this was too much. We ordered the spicy tuna and rainbow roll very bland and average. Fish was not fresh and my boyfriend eats anything usually and made a face. I ordered the shrimp and it was very hard and chewy. The zucchini was all mush and salty to the point it was inedible. No mushrooms in it as it's the best part for me. They said the shrimp doesn't come with mushrooms. It should have come with the Filet mignon my boyfriend ordered but it was missing. He also got a bunch of mush. The filet was good. Will came and offered to have the vegetables re-done with the addition of mushrooms which had me sitting there for a long time while my boyfriend ate alone. Will came out and apologized for the long wait. Finally it came (it was cooked right, no mush but again no mushrooms and some raw onions in it. At least the salt was right. Rice was very greasy! Didn't taste like fried rice. I hate having to speak so poorly about the food but there are way better hibachi restaurants around. Even the green tea ice cream was odd which my man mentioned. How can you mess up ice cream. Will offered to get a manager and we were not going to say anything but as I sat there it was eating me up to they such terrible meals and not say anything. I went to the hostess and she said oh, you sat in the lounge where they cook the food in the back and not at the chefs table? I said yeah, why is that the reason this all happened? She said well we have some new chefs in the back. Let me get the manager. Manager came to our table and nicely asked what would you like for me to do. I said to spend over $100 for such a poorly made meal with all the mishaps..(in reality, I shouldn't have to even tell her)..she said let me adjust your tab. I expected her to take my meal off. She came back with 20% off and 2 cars for free desserts if we were to purchase an entree. Little did she know we are never going back..at least to that location. That was very poorly handled. As we were driving home after making one quick stop, I noticed my stomach gurgling and a sharp pain coming on. I knew it was not going to be good. Yes, I got very sick. I don't know from what. The only thing different I ate from my boyfriend was one part of the rainbow roll that had shrimp and the shrimp on my plate. I won't say anymore. I would have rather paid full price than have her think she did us a favor with 20% off a horrible meal and free desserts should we risk eating here again. No thank you! read more

Been here 3 times and the service is so slow and waiters are not on top of it at all. Had to wait an hour to even get chef to the table, the chefs are always great. Server doesn't check on tables ever and you constantly need refills with no one to check. read more

First, George was amazing. If it wasn't for him, our experience would have gotten one star. We were seated by a very friendly young lady, she took our drinks and had to switch out for break. Her replacement was not nearly as nice, and even seemed to be having a bad day. Empty drinks, whatever, it was kinda busy, it happens. But when I'm trying to clarify how we wanted the leftovers portioned, she snapped back at me, "I know!" And even the random guests at the other end of the table said, "oh, damn!" Turns out, she didn't know; they weren't packed how we asked. So, that, a few days and $200+ later, I still regret having my fiancées birthday lunch there. Even the kids made fun of me after that and the other attitude/off putting things she said, but eventually that lightened the mood a bit.
