The receptionist Patricia I called last week explaining I work night shift and would like an appointment for my chest that I had to send my insurance card which I did the very next day. She claimed that she did not get the Insurance card until yesterday, which is February 12 And it was sent on February 4. Patricia claimed to leave a slot open today February 13 at 3 PM for me, but when I called to confirm if the appointment was made, she said no when I had first called on February 3 I explained when would be a good time to call since I work nights, but she did not do so and instead called me during the times I was not awake and I was not able to answer the phone, not knowing I got a missed call. If there is another provider that can help me please please help! My chest is hurting very badly and i can't breathe that well. EDIT: just listened to the voicemail no information was given other than "this information is for Emma, this is Patricia" so yes thank you for leaving me that helpful voicemail Patricia you've been an excellent help! Parking 5/5 Easy finding a parking spot in the private parking lot. Security 5/5 Evening security guard was on their game, getting visitors masked up and through the medal detector. Note to visitors, I always carry a pocket knife. No bueno back to the vehicle it goes. Never detected my Badge, left knee replacement like the airports do. All good though she was cool. Learned which floor/room my friend was admitted to and easily found her. She was experiencing a medical condition and was being treated properly for it. She didn't feel being admitted was necessary but I agreed with the doctor. After an hour she was hard at sleep and in great care. As of 1/15 she is still being treated and is recovering. Thank-You Lord, and to the caring staff at Banner Baywood! Stay Healthy my friends-SYOY!

I went in for an unexpected medical emergency. They were not super busy, but as soon as the ER doctor spoke to me, they went to work. They ran tests & we had initial results very quickly. It was a relief knowing someone was going to address my problem, especially because it was scary! In every hospital you have to be patient to some degree. There are always bumps along the way & you might even interact with a few people with little to no bedside manner & some may seem like they aren't listening. It's up to us to decide if they are important enough to complain about, because sometimes they aren't worth the time. Overall, my experience with 99.5% of the staff at Banner Baywood was great! They listened, they responded & I was treated appropriately. During COVID I personally knew too many people who were treated very inappropriately at several other hospitals in & out of AZ, so I was not so trusting. Banner Baywood gave me renewed hope. I am thankful & glad I chose Banner Baywood.

I showed up @3:08 and apparently they have a strict 6 minute policy, but luckily they had an opening at 4pm. I'm on time of course and get to the room @4pm. Dr didn't come and see me until about 4:28... almost 30 minutes later. I kept asking for a telehealth option but they refused and stated it was only for sick patients...I must add they took it very personal and had attitude? The older nurse really gave her personal opinion (that I didn't ask for) of how much better the face to face appointments are compared to the teleheath option - in which I was requesting due to working and having two under two, and this appointment not being THAT important to come in person for, I thought it was fair to ask so both parties are respected of the time and can show up on time. The fact that I had to come in to just review my labs that had no action or really next steps, has me questioning this offices practice, they care more about setting any possible appointments just for the money clearly? Also, this is VERY common for this office to have pretty much all of the providers be fashionably late (with no sort of excuse or apology for the wait either...) but we can't be more than 6 minutes late? That blows my mind. You either need to up your wait time or have the providers be more respectful of our time as well. Especially with being a patient for so long and considering how they are always late never have they really been on time? My last appointment the front desk lady made an announcement that the provider, Cabanas was running 30 minutes behind. We have to be understanding but you guys can't be after 6 minutes? Absolutely insane now that I think about it. I have known Cabanas since I was seeing a pediatrician, coming to appointments with my parents and she even used to care for my extended family. With that being said, that is the only reason I continue to come here and sadly that won't be enough anymore with how efficient and just as great, if not better other providers are in the state of Arizona, especially closer to me. I will get complete whatever needs to be completed with this office but looking forward to not coming here again and will actively talk about my poor experiences with this office in hopes others go to a new provider as well.

Location: 6402 E. Superstition Springs…read more Worst encounter with medical "professionals" in my life. Wait was long. Felt very rushed while there. Then another long wait just to have to remind them I was supposed to also have an ultra sound...waited another 15 minutes to get that paper work. The following day I went to the recommended clinic for a blood test (may 3rd). I called them back after a week to see if we could go over the results since I had not heard from them. No answer by the way, I left a message. I got a call later that afternoon stating they had not received results from the clinic. But said they would find out and call me back. The next day I got the results myself from the clinic and called the doctors office again (3 times during the day with no answer). Left a message letting them know that I have the results and would like to talk to a doctor about them. Its now May 17th and I am still waiting for a call.

My boyfriend Dave saw him several weeks ago, and Dave couldn't stop talking about what a kind, caring profession Dr. Wade is, especially after he received a personal call from Dr. Wade that week to report the results of a coronary CT. Dave's reaction was, "What doctor calls you with test results himself? This is amazing!" Then I saw Dr. Wade myself for the first time this week for my annual exam. I'm 66 years old, and I have never had such a positive experience with a doctor in my life. Frankly, I avoid going to the doctor and haven't been to one in years. My appointment began with Dr. Wade's medical assistant LaShonda, who has worked for him for more than 10 years; his other assistant, Cindy, has worked for him longer than that! This said so much to me. LaShonda stopped what she was doing to tell me how wonderful it has been to work for Dr. Wade, and then she told me a bit about him, all of which was so reassuring to me since I am nervous about seeing any doctor. LaShonda herself was very friendly and very kind, while still being efficient in taking my vitals and medical history and getting me ready to be examined. Then Dr. Wade came in and was so welcoming! He sat down facing me and spent more than 10 minutes explaining his philosophy of health care vs. medical care, as well as how his practice is run, including that I should always expect a personal call after tests/labs are performed -- whether the results are normal or abnormal, something most practices do not do, which leaves patients wondering if their results were even looked at. Only then did Dr. Wade begin the exam, during which he was so thorough and so very gentle. I expected that I would need a referral to several specialists for dermatology and gynecology, but Dr. Wade performed those exams himself, saving me so much time and saving me the cost of co-pays with two specialists. I am overweight, and I don't exercise, but he did NOT shame me about either thing, but instead was encouraging about the benefits of exercise. Again, I am going to use the word KIND, because that is the memory I carried away. I left that appointment feeling GOOD and feeling CARED FOR, both of which I have rarely experienced following a medical exam. My boyfriend and I can't stop talking about what a gift Dr. Wade is in our lives. I wish I could thank that patient of Dr. Wade's that we met in urgent care -- who, BTW, told us that he has been with Michael Wade for 31 years, and he'd never go to anyone else.
