Communication was clear, he showed up on time, and walked me through everything before starting. The install is incredibly clean, professional, and looks like it came with the house. Wiring is neat, placement is perfect, and he made sure the charger was configured correctly and working before leaving. He also answered all my questions about charging the Taycan with the Tesla wall connector. I first used Benchmark Electrical when I needed an electrician to fix a job I'd had done by someone else that wasn't working. It was a holiday and I was leaving town. Sumar was the first person to get back to me and worked it so Taylor could help me that same day, so I could feel safe leaving my home. Taylor worked efficiently and quickly fixing the other job that had been done and installing 5 additional smart switches. I am so happy with the work and really grateful Sumar was able to make the schedule work for me. Taylor suggested that I install a serge protector. I had the serge protector installed by Glenn. Had power outage after one breaker. Called around 12pm and Sumar scheduled a 4pm-6pm diagnostics for us. Descripted the situation but we were told quote will be after estimation. They were on time and professional but absurdly expensive: $250 each to add an outlet less than 5 feet away from another - I had 3 of these. $49 fee (driving fee?) in addition to the cost of any work accomplished. $750 to hardwire my Tesla wall charger less than 3 feet from the electrical service box - this took about 20 minutes. Benchmark Electrical did a sub-par job and their pricing is ridiculous. I recently had two 30 amp circuits with outlets added to my garage. The outlets were installed just a few feet above and below my breaker box. I was charged $650 dollars for a few hours of work. I was told that I received a significant price break because the job was easier than what was reflected in their flat-rate pricing catalog. I don't mind paying a premium price for good workmanship, but that was not what I experienced. I now have to move one of the outlets because it was placed incorrectly. read more
