Great restaurant for lunch and dinner. They have an ample selection of dishes. Beef, chicken, seafood, vegetarian, drinks and dessert. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We ordered soup, rice and a green curry seafood medley which was amazing. They have lots of room for small or large groups. I would recommend their curry selection as long as you enjoy your food on the spicy side. Go check it out and enjoy a night out with friends or family!!!!

Checked in here last night and enjoyed a great tasting meal alongside my work colleague. Together we both ordered two types of Pad Thai, Vietnamese Spring Rolls, Thai Spring Rolls and a small bowl of coconut soup that was huge. Nice atmosphere and layout of the restaurant. Prompt friendly service. Great food. The overall Yelp rating was a very poor reflection of my personal experience. Contrary, the Google restaurant rating was very high. I recommend this restaurant and will eat there again before leaving this city.

I guess this place is kind of the best in a small town... The seats were quite comfortable for a Vietnamese food place. :D the tea tasted kind of funny, I tasted somewhat salty but maybe it was some kind of special mixed? We ordered a large mango salad and it tasted soso with only few mango and a lot of cheap lettuce at the bottom. The pho noodle soups were without basil because they were out of stock. The basils could make the noodle soups tasted so much better. Also, a small plate of beansprouts were shared by 3 soups. The nuts in the dishes were with bad oil smell/taste, maybe they stored for too long or it was a bad batch of nuts...

I have been a customer for a long time and am very disappointed with the quality the last couple times we've eaten there. This present takeout meal had the following issues, the spring roll included in the platter and had less meat than the bowls ordered but was $3 more the seafood Pad Thai had 2 shrimp and the meat in my bowl was, no joke 90% fat. When we phoned them to tell them of the issues with the order they did not seem interested in resolving our complaints. Needless to say we will not be going back anytime soon.

The very first time we came here at sometime last year, it wasn't a memorable experience. The rare beef on a bowl of pho tasted chewy and hard. The tap water tasted bad. Since then, we still visit this place for a quick Vietnamese or Thai meal due to the lack of alternatives, and things have been getting better. The appetizers such as spring rolls, shrimp rolls, Taiwanese chicken wings, cyclone shrimp rolls, and Tom Yum soup have been decent. The cyclone shrimp rolls were a bit too burnt though and I wouldn't order them again. The pho has improved most significantly with better rare beef and better tasting broth. I don't think they used to do dim sum and bubble tea but they have been added to the menu as well. I've also tried their green curry and red curry and these dishes taste similar to ones from other Asian restaurants such as Springrolls. The service tends to be quick and efficient. The food can come out very slowly sometimes.

    All day dim sum available.

If you want MSG induced food and to wait an hour when the restaurant is empty for two dim sum plates. Then this is your place.

This is such a cute hole in the wall place!…read more Located underneath the Sage building on Spruce, there is very little parking but some nonetheless at the side where King Tin is. When you enter the restaurant you'll see long tables, high top tables and then a large counter. This is a restaurant that lets you practice your social skills to share tables with others. You must order from the counter and then they'll bring the food to you. WiFi available. Daily specials available as well. They have a self serve water pitcher if you'd like to drink water and not order anything else. Ordered: Red curry with chicken Came with a large portion of rice. Curry was spicy with a little sweet after taste. Coconut milk, large chicken pieces, veg, bamboo shoots... this was delicious! Green curry with chicken Tastes a little creamier than the red. Ingredients are about the same. Very good. Slight Spiciness. Panang curry with beef Lots of veg. Very mild curry flavour. Prob my fave curry dish so far. Tom kha soup? This is a coconut milk chicken broth soup with pieces of mushrooms and we added shrimp. This is a very mild soup. It's not bad. But not my fave. Thai iced tea is sweet. Very very yum. It's not on their menu but for sure something worth ordering! A hidden gem in Waterloo. Very good Thai food.

The place is so cute, fun atmosphere and easy ordering. They have daily specials and a 10% student discount which make the already affordable dishes even more value. There are games on the table to play while you're waiting for food, and service is great. Definitely going to be coming in to eat more often! I got the Thai spicy noodle soup, and it wasn't really that spicy which I really appreciated (but if you're craving spicy food maybe get the curry or add chilli oil). My other favourites include the pad Thai, the green curry, and the Tom yum soup.

They specialize in Southeast Asia cuisine, namely Laotian takes on neighbouring regional cuisines like Thai, Korean, and Japanese dishes. The menu is diverse but shows intentionality. The standout dish for us was definitely the laksa. It was creamy and spicy and flavourful. Unlike other laksas I've tried it wasn't watery like a soup but was more of a richer curry bisque texture if that makes sense. The chicken pieces were tender. There were lots of vegetables in the broth. My Asian barbecue ribs were sweet-savoury. The kimchi cabbage coleslaw was tasty but I just ate some of it because I was too full from drinking up the rest of hubby's leftover laksa broth. My ramen-loving nephew devoured his miso ramen. Sara was so sweet and brought my nephew to meet the chef and kitchen crew. She also brought us complimentary Asian style churros. She offered great insight into the menu as well as her brother Bobby's journey into this business and his intention of highlighting Laotian cuisine. I was describing to a friend how at one point, a random Christmas song came on the playlist (it was March). With the warmth of family around me, my belly satiated from the delicious meal, it did feel a lot like Christmas in that one moment. Amazing food (I still dream about that laksa) and awesome staff made for a very memorable dining experience that we look forward to repeating the next time we are in the Cambridge area.

It's in the same plaza as Fast Eddie's, which is just off the Hespeler exit when you're on highway 401. I didn't think of dropping by Hakka Hut for lunch because I always wanted a burger from Fast Eddie's. Well, I put my burger pangs aside last Saturday and opted to get lunch at Hakka Hut through Uber Eats. I was at the Cambridge ONroute stop and placed my order there. I then casually drove over to fetch my food. I looked at what others had ordered at Hakka Hut in the past on Yelp. My go-to dish when I am first giving a Hakka place a try is chilli chicken. My favourite dish is actually spicy garlic chicken and each restaurant has variations on it. One Yelper said that the latter dish has a lot of garlic. Sold! It's located in a small plaza. I have never had any problems finding a parking spot. I backed into a spot and headed inside. The restaurant is cute. I spoke to a nice woman who had my order ready. She mentioned that indoor dining would be available in two days. I was early. Ugh! I thanked her for my goodies and walked over to my car to chow down. I liked that the condiments and plastic cutlery were in a small paper bag with pandas on it. It was a nice touch. My spicy garlic chicken was in a plastic container. It was super full. This place does not skimp on ingredients. I had to be careful not to tip the container. I also got steamed rice, which I gently added to the spicy garlic chicken. The spicy garlic chicken here is fantastic. It's spicy. It's garlicky. It's chicken-y. Yes, I know the last one isn't a word, but I needed to be consistent! You get a lot of chopped garlic in it. It's just the way that I like it. If my breath doesn't have a garlic aftertaste afterwards, it's not garlicky enough! This dish fulfilled this criterion. This dish also has green onions, which I dig. I don't enjoy this dish when folks put bell peppers in it. I like this version. Simple and yummy! The only aspect that needs improvement is the sauce. It was more on the watery side. I don't know if it was packed up for a while such that there was more condensation that expected, but it would have been perfect if the sauce were thicker. Otherwise, the spicy garlic chicken had tons of flavour. I will make a special shout out to the light batter around each chicken morsel. This place uses white meat and the batter is whisper-thin such that you don't feel like you need a nap afterwards from a carb overload. Excellent! I'm a fan. It's such a gem in Cambridge. I'm coming back for the chilli chicken next before I flip back to getting more spicy garlic chicken. This place also has momos that I want to try, too. (306)
