Mostly eaten pho lol

A small hole in the wall pho place with good portion sizes. Actual asian staff :p soup mas decent flavour! Wifi: not obvious

Great place for an affordable and very filling meal. The service was friendly and very quick despite it being busy. The menu is vegetarian and vegan friendly. Both my wife and I ordered a medium sized Pho and it was more than enough for us. I ordered the Bon Bo Hue and was not disappointed. It was meaty and very flavourful. Also what is nice about this place is that you can ask for either chicken, beef or vegetarian broth for most of their items. Overall, I would recommend this place and plan on coming back.

Imperial Spring Rolls

My boyfriend and I ordered a large pho, a chicken-beef-pork-egg rice, and spring rolls. The spring rolls here are better than other pho restaurants (except for Pho Dau Bo) for $3.99. They were crisp and delicious. The pho was not bad but definitely not awards-winning material & I found a teensy mosquito which could easily be mistaken for a pepper. My boyfriend enjoyed his rice. It was a little pricy compared to other pho restaurants as our total came to $27 including tip. May be back if we're in the neighbourhood and craving, but not something I'd drive out of my way for.

Beef sticks minus 2. Great.

I drive thru Canada to get from Michigan to from New York all the time. Now I know where to stop for very great Vietnamese food. This place is Pho real. I'm giving it 5 because the place is spot less and the bathrooms are clean. One small issue is that you must pay via cash or debit card AND if by debit card, a non-Canadian bank debit card is not allowed. Hence we had to visit the gas station to utilize the ATM machine in order to extract cash for payment. inconvenient but I still say it's worth the food.

Deep fried spring rolls

Stopped in for lunch the other day. Staff was friendly and atmosphere Was quiet and comfortable. Ordered the Tom Yum soup with seafood and deep fried spring rolls. The spring rolls didn't appeal to me as they didn't appear to be home made and were quite over cooked. The spring rolls came with a slice of cucumber and fish sauce. Some pickled daikon, carrot, and lettuce would have been nice. The Tom Yum soup was quite good with a generous portion of seafood including shrimp, squid, and artificial crab. Would be nice to have real crab but I haven't found a place yet that serves real crab in their Tom Yum. Oh yes and if you like ask for cold green tea to start, very refreshing on a hot day. Overall quite good and would recommend to others.

The food is fine, however the service is very bad. They treated us like they didn't care about us at all.

My notes on Pho Hamilton: - A restaurant within a grocery…read morestore. - Free parking - Extensive menu - Very friendly staff - Returning customers - Willingness of staff to recommend dishes - Prompt service Food I ordered: - Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk: Strong coffee aroma and taste. Not overly sweet, which I like. - Appertizer Specialty: khai vi dac biet - A combination of fried cheese wontons, deep fried Spring rolls, fresh shrimp rolls, and battered shrimps. Came with 3 sauces for dipping. My mom loved the fresh shrimp rolls while I took a fancy to the cheese wontons. At $12.99, the app is good for up to 4 people. - Main: Bun mam - a vermicelli soup made of fermented fish broth. A favourite of the local Vietnamese. The concept is the same as fermented tofu. Unique smell, but taste good. An abundance of seafood such as bass fillet, squid, shrimps, fish balls etc. Yummy. Worth the $12.99. You can also choose different size bowls. If you are absolutely famished, go for the extra large. Coz it's huge lol. Yet another reason to visit Hamilton added to my list!!

I brought several of my friends with me during Family Day (yay for Asian supermarkets for being open on holidays). FOOD: 5/5 1. CT51: Grilled Beef with Fried Egg & Broken Rice: This is my GO TO dish. I rarely eat rice at any other Vietnamese restos. My friend (who is Vietnamese) who also got a Com Tam was really impressed: "wow, they actually use broken rice here" and then after the first few bites, "okay, this is authentic. This is what it should taste like." 2. P25: This is my boyfriend's go to. Never any complaints and he finishes everything. The pho never makes me nauseous like other places do. The veggies provided are always bright and fresh. SERVICE: 5/5 It is soooo nice having staff recognize you when you walk in. The service is always warm and friendly. Best price and quality for Vietnamese food in the area.

From the outside it doesn't look like much but inside it's quite inviting - there is a big fish tank! I had a classic vermicelli bowl with pork, spring roll and beef wrapped in green leaves. The pork was hot off the grill with a strong charbroiled taste. The beef in green leaves is something I have never had before and I found it to be a tasty little flavor addition to the meal. Spring roll was hot and crispy and also very good. The bowl had a good portion of herbs that makes for that fresh taste the is so much a part of Vietnamese food. My traveling companion had a spicy satay noodle soup with beef, which I had a few bites of and it was delicious. We are always looking for satay soup at Vietnamese places but it is sometimes hard to find. We were excited that Pho Lac Vien has such a great version of it. I really wanted to come back the next day and have one of those, but we were just passing through and will have to wait for the next time we are in Hamilton. We treated ourselves to Vietnamese coffees with condensed milk and ice - a perfect compliment to our food. All in all, a memorable meal and with very freindly service to round it all out.

The bread is crispy yet chewy yet tender, and it's filled to the brim with delicious toppings. I've tried their Country Pate, Ultimate Oink, and the standard Saigon -- all are delicious. I'm not an expert on banh mi, but this blows all the places in the city right out of the water. If you're ever in the area and craving a good sandwich... McQueen's is the place to be.

I've only had Bahn Mi a few times and I have to say it was mediocre at best so I was expecting more of the same. Wow! Wow! Wow! McQueen's is like night and day with other Bahn Mi places. The taste and the flavors are of the chart. The place is just a sandwich shop with no seating and only about 6 offerings of Bahn Mi. I went with their classic recommendation The Saigon with was pork based with pork belly, pate and roast pork as well as some great veggies. But the standout was the bun ...crispy,crunchy,flaky on the outside and like a soft pillow on the inside. Delicious! I couldn't stop eating it once I started bite after bite... barely swallowing before the next bite.. it was gluttonous! I had found a sandwich which I would drive 45minutes to buy easily! The staff were extremely nice and feel they really care about putting out quality food! Easily a 5 star rating! Thanks McQueen's see you so
