In terms of ambiance and service - the restaurant is spacious and the seats are nicely spread out. The noise isn't overly loud and you can actually have a conversation while you eat. The servers are attentive and check in often. The only disappointment we've ever had is the day we went to get a meal only to find out it was fully booked out for a holiday party. We are always looking for satay soup at Vietnamese places but it is sometimes hard to find. We were excited that Pho Lac Vien has such a great version of it. I really wanted to come back the next day and have one of those, but we were just passing through and will have to wait for the next time we are in Hamilton.
