This review is long overdue. I met Linda, the owner of BeMe, over 3 years ago. She is an incredible combination of classy and edgy, like the merchandise in her store. I still wear the wardrobe selections she hand picked for me over 2 1/2 years ago, and when I go out to L.A. and O.C. bars and clubs wearing her picks, People still comment on how good the outfits look and ask where I found them. I wish I had as good an eye for style as Linda. I'm not ashamed to have spent over $1,000 in the store all at once. In all honesty, I haven't returned to the store in years, but I would go. The problem is that the clothes Linda sold me haven't gone out of style and they still look great. I've saved so much money by having Linda as my guide. She's done it again! **run on sentence warning!** I went in just to get my cocktail dress altered (purposefully leaving my wallet in the car...I know Linda will hate me for that but this place is dangerous and no does not escape my mouth too often here)...soo we did the little fitting...she figured out what to do (this includes twisting the straps to make it a little sexier..but keeping the thickness so I can still wear a bra)...and then she reminded me I need new jeans. I went here recently with a fellow yelper and friend the other week and man was in for something. Sharon warned me that once you step in Linda, the owner of the shop takes you by storm in a fashion frenzy.... she was right! When I stepped in I surrendered to her fashion expertise and tried on so many different outfits that she had picked out for me according to my look, body type, etc. She is very involved and is extremely honest with you. I was squeezing into a pair of size 0 jeans as she was making me do squats and helping me into them. MAN are they hot. I didn't have to lift a finger when I was there and it was really fun. The first time I came to BeMe is when I was looking for a NYE dress. I live nearby and I always wanted to check it out, so I finally stopped in one day after work. They have a lot of trendy clothes there, but I think the prices are kind of high, epecially since this boutique is in the hood LOL. But you do feel like your somewhere on Melrose once you walk in the boutique. It has nice harwood floors, lighting and a salon in the back. They also offer you wine or coffee while you shop. The owner also suggests things to pair with your outfit. I ended up getting a sequined dress and some black heels (pictured). The dress was $100, and I dont remember how much the shoes cost. The ladies in there can be very talkative, which is okay, but Im sort of impatient, so I dont want to have to wait on someone to help me while they are chit chatting away. It seems that most of their customers are regulars, which probably contributes to the chattiness (is that a word? LOL). But I also went back recently and bought a purse for like $60. The clothing here is very similar to Linne's Boutique whi is a few blocks away, but I think the staff here is friendlier and the place looks nicer. read more

I came in tonight looking for a dress for an event this Sat. I usually shop at big department stores and rarely boutiques.. Before coming here to look for a dress, I have been looking at my usual spots ( Nordstrom, Nina M , BCBG ) but no luck. I did not see much of the store but the displays were cute. Linda the store owner is really understands what is trendy now and can really accessorize any thing she sells in her store to a tee. I've lived in the neighborhood for a while but never stopped in the store until recently. I had been admiring a dress on display in the window for a few weeks so I decided to stop in and try it on. Linda pulled the dress for me and gave me shoes to try with it as well. The dress was a bit big, but it was great quality and really unique so she offered to have it tailored in-store for me. She also showed me how to tie a rose knot in a belt to wear with the dress. When I came back to pick up my dress, it fit perfectly and I only paid $20 for the alterations on a strapless dress with a fitted bodice. I got tons of compliments on the dress when I wore it for my company's launch party. The reason I am not giving the store five stars is because Linda was a bit easily distracted when there are multiple customers in the store and fails to keep her attention on you if it gets a bit busy. Also, her assistant was a bit out of touch (she did not know what a bodice was), but it seems like she is new so hopefully all this will improve. read more

Linda is the business owner and she is good at what she does but we encounter some minor problems that I think she can improve. Dress was beautiful but of course it was need of alternation, she charged us $35 for the bottom and $10 by the breast area. Pricey if you ask me. She told us to it will be ready in a week ( on Sunday) but I decided to call before we drove over to her boutique and to my surprise she said to come Monday instead and to arrive after 4 p.m. Monday we arrive at 4 p.m. and the dress was untouched, she told us to come back after 6 p.m. so we did and still the dress was not worked on. This is irritating because its a waste of time to be driving around just waiting for her to do her job. She was helping out two more customers with dresses and when she saw us she went to the back room and quickly did the alternation for the dress. Took her 10 minutes! Not very professional when you set a date and time for the dress to be ready and you get turned away twice. If you have time and patience to visit the store at least four times to get your dress then buy here or maybe just let her know to have it ready for you so you don't make 4 stops. ***Linda can be pushy, she really wants to sell. **Her dresses and accessories are nice but overpriced. A necklace that she wanted us to buy (because it went with the dress) was $20. we refused to buy it glad we did because we found it at Forever 21 for $3. **Parking lot is small only fits up to 3 cars so its better to park across the street or around the block. **Prom Season is super busy for her so its very hard for her to focus on you and your needs because she is all over the place. I suggest she gets assistance for that peak season. read more

Wow! What a great experience at BeMe Chic!! The young girl working was so friendly and helpful and listened to what kind of style dress my daughter was looking forward. This was the last stop for me on my all day hunt for a really cute dress to wear out for a night on the town. I can't believe I wasted most of my day at all these other lame places. The woman that owns it is so sweet and so helpful. She puts together the cutest outfits for you..shoes..jewelry..handbag. And everything is really fairly priced. I went in for a dress and left with 2 dresses, a pair of jeans, black peep toe heels and a matching necklace and bracelet for $200 after tax. My boss and a friend of mine both rave about this boutique, so I thought I'd stop by and check it out for myself. The eye-catching window displays got me hooked before I even stepped inside! It's a great store to find Vegas outfits, but I was more interested in updating my wardrobe and finding a few staple pieces, versatile for day and night. I am 5' with a pear-shaped body, so it's especially hard for me to find jeans that fit well & that make me look slim. Enter Maritza... She was able to tell my size and my style just by looking at me! I just trusted her to pick out several different types of jeans and put together a bunch of outfits for me, and boy did she get everything spot on. I loved everything she picked out: the pants she chose elongated my legs, and all the clothes definitely had the look and feel of what I was hoping to find. I even bought a pair of white pants...and I NEVER wear white on my bottom half! But that just shows how great of a job Maritza did. I came in expecting to buy a couple of pairs of jeans, and maybe a top. I ended up leaving with 4 pants, a pair of shorts, and 4 blouses. BeMe is about an hour away from where I live, but the drive was so worth it. I would definitely come back again! The dress was PERFECT especially for the occasion and it may have been expensive, but the quality and overall visual of the dress made it worth it. What can I say that hasn't been said. This store definitely does not fit its environment. BeMe is the type of boutique that belongs next to Trina Turk or Kate Spade, not a discount $1 store on Anaheim. The main reason to shop here is for Linda's valuable fashion advice. Without her, the garments seem a bit frivolous and useless. Here's my analogy for the day..... She's like a 5 star chef and clothes are her ingredients. And, like a fine dining experience, you are first enticed visually. Let her whip up a hip and very flattering outfit for you. Something that you would not normally pick out for yourself. It doesn't matter what size you are,she'll show you how to wear the outfit to maximize it's fashionable intent. For example, she'll adjust a halter top a certain way so that it doesn't bunch up or have you do the "2 dip & squat hold" to make sure your jeans hug your butt just right. Being the detail oriented person that she is, she also offers alterations and hemming services at a nominal price. This ensures that your clothes fit perfectly. I especially recommend BeMe to any woman who just had a baby, Linda is great in recommending transitional apparel that will look good as you work towards your goal size. read more

Ive been trying to build up the courage to write this, and i'm finally ready, here goes nothing. i came here with my sister to look for a prom dress a few months back and the lady here told me i need to lose 8-10 pounds for prom. she literally said "iM nOT bOdY shAMinG yOu!1!1 I teLL tHiS tO eVEry giRL wHO cOmeS iN!!1!1" it was obvious that the lady was body shaming the hell out of me, every time i looked at a dress she said "no not that one! it'll make you look bigger" i've struggled with body image issues/an eating disorder my entire life, i'm only 17 years old. i left the store feeling ugly, embarrassed, hurt and even more insecure. the lady made me feel very uncomfortable and was very rude towards me in the dressing room telling me my back was "too wide". i am latina, my body has been like this my entire life and i am sure as hell not going to let some thin ass woman tell me that i am obligated to lose 8-10 pounds to fit in one of her dresses. thank you, next. fortunately i found a beautiful prom dress from another boutique that was worthy of my money. read more

If I could give a negative I would. This store has no concept of customer service- stay away! The first time I went there they completely ignored my friend and the sales girl followed me around the store shoving clothes at me that were nothing like my style. When I didn't like the dress I tried on, she said "let me show you how to wear it". I am not an idiot, I know how to wear a dress! Then, I thought I would give them another shot, but wanted to get my nails done first. When I came out of the nail salon, Be Me had towed my car! I confronted the "manager" who first blamed another sales girl then blamed the nail salon. I was in the nail salon for less than 1 hour, I could see if I parked there for a few hours then I would understand. This place has guaranteed I will never spend a single dime there. read more
