After reading all of the Yelp reviews, I had to check this place out. Immediately upon arrival, I was warmly greeted and assisted. One of the associates started pulling dresses from around the store, and started a fitting room for me. The owner also came to assist, she set up my dresses in the order I should try on, and told me that she would help me zip up. I was buying a dress to officiate a wedding, and I found the perfect dress. She prepared it for alterations while also assisting about 3 or 4 other people. The cherry on the cake was the yummy mimosa! I completely recommend this place if you are looking for the perfect dress for a special occasion. I felt very taken care of, and I appreciated the attention to detail. Perfect location, exceptional service, wonderful quality, and the prices were reasonable. I had an absolutely wonderful and successful experience purchasing a formal dress here. The owner, Linda, is a whirlwind of energy that takes you by surprise at first. She's been doing this job for 19 years and every single year of that effort and dedication shows by the time you're out the door smiling with your purchase. I walked in looking for a formal gown for a recital because of all the amazing Yelp reviews this place has and was immediately helped by Linda. I told her some preferred colors, the length, and the price point and in less than 5 minutes I had a few dresses lined up to try. What was amazing wasn't only the fact that she found the perfect dress for me on the first try, but she felt the outline of the body and goes "perfect, I know your body type and size and have just the thing". Incredible. She paired my dress with Steve Madden shoes (Love that brand!) and a gorgeous necklace and I bought the set, sans necklace, immediately. When I went to pick up my dress after alterations she had me try on a few more dresses and Guess shoes (which I also ended up buying because they were the most comfortable heels I've ever worn in my life) just to show me different options for the future. She's quick, knowledgeable, and not pushy. I will say that her energy and request that you try on certain things can come off pushy or like you have to buy but that is NOT the case. Linda truly wants to show people how to dress fashionably and comfortably for their body type. She'll show you things you wouldn't pick out for yourself and leave you wondering why you never saw what she saw. She is 100% more concerned with your happiness, that you look great, and you come back because you trust her. And I love that. I came to this place to get a dress to wear to a wedding. I saw all the good reviews on Yelp and have to say they were right! They have a great selection of formal dresses, anything from conservative to more sexy. The people there really helped me out because I tried on like 7 different dresses and they told me what looks best for the occasion. They even picked out earrings and a necklace to go with the dress. They also have a section of the store for casual clothing with really cute stuff. Everything is GREAT quality, the dress I bought was $98 but I saw other formal dresses for around $78. So the prices are great for the quality and cute style. I give it 3 stars because I bought a pair of shoes and realized they didn't fit me well at all (they were making my toes numb). I came back early the next day to get a refund or at least exchange them since I didn't wear them. They told me all sales are final and they wouldn't exchange for store credit. The girl pointed to the little framed sign saying "all sales are final." I'm sorry but if you sell a customer shoes you pick out for them and say they look and fit well you should at least allow them to exchange the shoes. Also if it's a final sale you should mention that like every other place does. Now I'm stuck with an $85 pair of shoes I cant wear. Not good customer service. read more

Rudest woman ever.. I came in to browse as they have some nice pieces in the window and I regularly drive by on my way home from work. I had parked in the parking lot and by the time I turned the car off and grabbed my purse to get out of my car, this asian woman (owner I'm assuming?) stormed over, yelling that if I didnt move my car I would be towed! SO RUDE! When I asked if this was the boutique parking she suddenly changed her demeanor and tried explaining that she has problems with the nail salon taking her parking spots. TOO LATE LADY! The owner of the shop needs to be working in sales in the New York fashion industry. I feel like she's screaming "sell! sell! sell!" in her head. She knows how to sell something, but what makes her great and not pushy is the fact that she actually knows what you want before you know you want it. We all want clothes that make us look great, and she knows what those clothes are, even if we don't just yet. She fitted me in 3 dresses and I gave a fashion show to everyone in the store, unexpectedly. It's an encouraging atmosphere. I was getting a ton of compliments and cheers which really makes you want to buy what you're wearing. I'd always meant to go into this store, but it's hard to remember it mainly because of the location. I finally went in a last minute attempt to find a killer dress for Vegas, and I did! Yay me! I shop at Red off of Bellflower also, and in comparison, Be Me is a step above in price and formality. The clothes are higher priced, but it's parallel to the quality of the clothing. Be Me is more evening wear, while Red is more everyday wear. Tips: Don't be afraid to buy only what you can afford. She'll try to sell you three dresses, but she knows how to not make you feel guilty if you choose to buy just one. Parking is a little difficult, so just make sure you don't back-up into incoming traffic! Wear a pair of heels there so you're bum and legs look better when you're publicly trying these dresses on. Wear undergarments because the dressing rooms are behind curtains! Expect to find something at this store, so bring your money, honey! Go alone or with girlfriends; you'll have a great time. I love how she serves alcohol !! Who doesn't love to shop and drink for free? Uh I do!! Linda never disappoints she is always up to date with the newest trends and she has an eye for style. She opens your eyes to new trends and style. This is still my go to spot after 10+year for those outfits that you can't get at the malls. Linda is a FORCE OF NATURE. I tried on so many outfits while I was here, and I didn't pick a single one of them! I have to say, she knows what will look good on you at the snap of her fingers. She definitely got me out of my fashion box, which is a very good thing. There's color in my closet now, how novel! Once I again BeMe has came threw. I had a Vegas trip and me and my cousin were on crunch time to get some outfits and had a window of time to do it. So I remember the cute dresses I had gotten before when I used to shop there religiously when i lived in Long beach, so i gave Linda a call to see if she could get somethings ready for me after my hair appointment. Linda is the store owner/consultant and the best of the best. I will admit that it had been a while that I hadn't been in her store but she worked her magic! She asks me whats the occasion and what I'm feeling to wear, so I told her and when we get there we were in and out in 30 minute. She had 4-5 outfits ready for us both which we loved all so it was hard to pick which one I was going to get. Linda never forgets a face or your style. I'm a shorty so she picked items to elongate my body and she knows I hate my pooch to handed my her version of Spanx they was way cheaper and handy. Let her do her thing, you may first think, "I don't know If it will look good on me" but trust her...it will cause she knows it will. I got what I wanted and more for a great price. Some people complain about her prices being a bit pricey but I think its good for the quality of clothes and shoes. I have been going to her to over 5 years and still have the clothes from her store in almost perfect condition. They dint fall apart and everything fits just the way it did when I bought it. My new go to for cute clothes! I came here randomly one day after driving by the unassuming store for a while. I walked in to browse and 3 hours, 2 glasses of wine and 10 pieces of clothing later I emerged! LOL. What makes this store special? Linda the owner is essentially a fashion stylist. You can come in not having a clue and miraculously she will find a few different outfits that will look great on you no matter what your size or proportion. I am very short and curvy, which can be difficult to dress. Linda eyeballed me, picked out a bunch of outfits and dresses that helped elongate my body and hide some of the problem areas and sure enough, I looked great. She dressed me personally and gave me all sorts of tips on what would look best on my body and how I should work with the fabric to look my personal best. She even makes alterations and suggests alterations to the clothing to make it fit the best. And she can eyeball your pant size, top size, etc very accurately. There were alot of pieces that she picked where initially I was like, "that won't look great on me" or "those aren't my colors/style". But keep an open mind because those ended up being the pieces I picked up. There is also an open dressing area that's good for girl groups. She will offer you a glass of wine and even the wine was good. If you are kind of clueless about fashion and lazy like me and need help looking like a fashionista, COME HERE. You will likely walk out of the store poorer but with a really cute little wardrobe that will last for a whole season. And you are guaranteed to look good, and that's what matters. read more

The real selling point though: they do alterations in house!!! In my closet I have: - rubber ducky short dress with 70s pattern (has been overuse since I love all the compliments I get from it) - purple transparent shirt that makes me feel transformed into a hollywood starlet - a caplet that looks good with virtually everything I own (how is that possible) - a blue light coat that's very hepburn and can be worn either separately or part of an ensemble -a sweater with kimono sleeves that I haven't worn (the only dent in the otherwise perfect record - since I just haven't travelled anywhere cold enough) - skinny jeans that gives me the power to say (look Ma, I grow me some legs now) - a fierce vest that has transformed my shirts - a purple dress that has made an appearance in too many pictures. - a leather belt that I am wearing too often - a green shirt with pleated ruffle in the front -shoes - 2 bags that have been heavy in rotation. After noticing Be Me on Yelp, I decided to go and check it out. Wow you gals were right! It's an experience for sure. Linda immediately introduced herself and told me that she was there to consult on what will look good on me. After that, we were off to the races! Now let me just say that working in an office all week has seemingly killed off any spunk and fire in my wardrobe, so going into her shop and trying on a lot of stuff that I would normally not dare try on was definitely a fun experience. You defintiely have to be prepared to be pulled and tucked and just all out manipulated. You are her mannequin to dress, and by gosh, let her!! Funny thing is that she handed me some jeans to try on, and I said "Uh, I don't think I'll be fitting into these...." but somehow, as if by magic, I did squeeze into those things, and you know, they looked pretty darn good. One little asterisk - she does have a "skinny" mirror on the floor - that DOES help. Not that I'm fat, but you gals know what I'm talking about.....I'd wonder if the same outfit would look good once I got home to my normal mirror..... Before long I had tried on about 5 different tops and a few dresses. If I hadn't been pressed for time, I'd have done more. I did walk out with a cute sundress that I love. I'll definitely go back. I think it's a fun experience and it's a place where you can truly break out of your fashion rut. Price wise, I would say a tad high for the quality of the clothes. The owner, Linda, of BeMe is legendary. Yes they have stylish Men's clothes upstairs in a surprisingly large room. Linda took one look at me and guessed exactly my waist size. She had three shirts waiting by the time I hopped into a pair of perfectly fitting jeans. Within minutes she was familiar with what looks good on me AND what I think looks good on me too. I gave Linda a curve ball too; Pressed for time, I came in wearing my grungy work clothes--baggy and faded with age. She has so much integrity she didn't even bat her eyes at me. Working in high-end fashion has jaded me. It also leaves me with champagne taste on a beer budget. So what is a girl to do when she needs a beautiful dress to go to her friend's wedding, but can't afford the Nicole Miller, Badgley Mischka, and especially not the Herve Leger dresses she yearns for? I'll tell you what she should do (what I will now do). Go visit the amazing Linda at her awesome boutique and have her give you the service you wish to have in the designer section of Saks or Neiman Marcus. After years of retail selling, and knowledge of how you treat an important client, I'm a little picky about who I let service me in my clothing endeavors - especially since I'm used to styling myself. After two minutes of talking to Linda and letting her know what I was shopping for I knew I was in as capable hands as, well, as my own. I picked out two dresses and she threw in some curve balls for me in order to make sure I was picking the perfect dress. She didn't even let my raggedy work out clothes deter her in how she serviced me - she stuck me behind the changing room then helped me slip into some heels to see how the dress will look when I wear it out. Believe me when I say this - it was THE MOST amazing service I have ever experienced in a clothing store. Even though the dress I ended up purchasing was a dress I originally pulled, Linda helped steer me into that choice of dress (and believe me, if she didn't I probably would have picked something else). Now I have the perfect dress to wear to my friend's wedding! It looks just like a Nicole Miller dress I've been eyeing in my store, and I didn't have to shell out the $500 for it, I only paid a fraction of that - $70! Before she ended her session with me (even though she had a regular client waiting for her she didn't rush me or give me less attention - more points in my book!) she asked, "What else are you shopping for today?" That question blew my socks off! It's like she took sales lessons from the great Gretchen Pace (GM of Saks, SCP) herself! Every time I go anywhere dressed in Beme clothes, I get sooo many compliments. Linda dresses you from head to toe. She even has a salon in the boutique to finish the look. When I walk in, I am always greeted with a "hello" and "can I get you something to drink?" Linda always starts with, "what are we shopping for?" She put me in some great styles of dresses and outfits while showing me different ways to wear some versatile items. She is also tailoring a piece for me to get the perfect fit! She was very patient and non-pretentious (which I feared I would encounter shopping at a boutique). This store has clothing slightly better quality than a forever 21 but 2-3x the price. It's almost as if they haggled thru all the forever 21 merch and found the cute stuff so you don't have to. They help you to find an outfit for the occasion you need. Customer service was excellent and I couldn't turn down the glass of bubbly they offer, eases the pain of swiping that credit card. Spent over $200 there on only 2 tops, a bandeau and a pair of jeans. I had come back here in March and bought a few really cute dresses (two formal, two casual cotton ones) , a pair of jeans, and a pair of sandals. Despite wearing this clothing ALL the time since then and having left the jeans there to be hemmed, I didn't make it back to BeMe until today. Linda not only remembered me from my one visit and was incredibly friendly and fantastic, but managed to find my jeans in just a few minutes. This is definitely a shopping experience, and Linda will find clothing that looks great on you. I actually didn't think that a lot of the clothing looked like my style, but Linda makes it work on you. There is a range of qualities in the store, but all of the clothing I've bought there has held up to a good amount of wear without any problems. My time is really valuable - I don't have time to spend hours at mall going from store to store searching for the perfect outfit. Clearly - she is a smart business woman - BUT, she genuinely cares about her customers and sincerely wants to make sure her customers walk out of her store with clothes they will LOVE!
