We visited Belly Fish on a Sunday afternoon for lunch with friends. The authenticity and quality of the food really stand out -- everything tasted fresh, clean, and thoughtfully prepared. A fun fact that make Belly Fish even more interesting:The co-founder and chef, Rodrigo Bravo, trained under renowned chefs like Joan Roca and Masaharu Morimoto, which explains the elevated, fine-sushi feel. Overall, Belly Fish was a gem!

Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed every dish, especially the tuna tostada. The restaurant has a very busy takeout area, which is separate from the dining area. It's a modern space and everything, including the bathroom, is clean. Unfortunately, several items we requested were not available. Also, while the server was friendly and efficient, she seemed stretched thin. The restaurant is very busy and could probably benefit from additional servers. The excellent food, however, stands out above all else.

Agua chile

The agua Chile was my favorite!! So fresh and amazing flavors. The sushi was also very good! My only complaint is they were out of thing when I went but that's probably because everything is fresh and I went two hours before they were closing. Definitely coming back to try some of those items I wasn't able to! I love how fast everything came out!

Scored a great pickup from Belly Fish on Uber Eats--they always have killer deals and steals! The fish tasted super fresh, the spicy mayo is insanely good (that creamy kick is perfect), and my absolute favorites were the crispy rice and the tuna tostada. The tuna belly fish is definitely up there as one of the best quick spots for solid sushi in Miami. Highly recommend--fresh, flavorful, and worth every bite!

Belly Fish is continues to impress with its new sit down part of the restaurant. The decor is simple and elegant, the wait staff is constantly helping you with every little thing. And the food is just as delicious. My favorite dish there doesn't even involve fish. It's the miso eggplant bowl that is a wonderful addition to their fish heavy menu. Don't get me wrong the sushi is also delicious and their sauces, especially eel sauce, are divine.

Chirashi

Quickly becoming a go-to for me! Came here twice already and ordered either the spice menu. The salmon sashimi appetizer is really tasty and I also liked the tuna one. The chirashi is great and I also liked the sushi combo. Place is clean and the sushi is nicely plated and tasty. Love that it's simple! We need more of that in miami. Nice servers.

Sushi is good and prices are reasonable but service was not good when I went. What I expected to be a quick lunch took over an hour

To me, Belly Fish is an elevated fast casual sushi spot. They offer many varieties of fish, and even have ikura (salmon roe) based plates for roe lovers. The service is quick and easy and everything is nicely plated into these compartmentalized boxes. I love that they offer more than soy sauce. They have chipotle ponzu and yuzu ponzu (my favorite). I've never had an issue with the fish, it seems to be fresh, but the cuts are generally slightly smaller than other restaurants. The lunch combos seem to be worthwhile, offering a side on top of the main course. I love their yuzu broccolini! Overall, this is a pretty good option for fast casual sushi in Miami.

We've been here twice for Miami Spice already - that says how much we love this place. I've heard great things about Belly Fish back when it was take out only, but I live too far away to be ordering take out from there. I am thrilled therefore they now have a brick and mortar store and finally Miami Spice gives me the perfect excuse to drag my husband along. We really like the decor of the place, which reflects what their sushi is like, simple, elegant, restrained. Just fresh, clean fish, simple and delicious, not overloaded with sauces and a load of ingredients. There are not a lot of varieties in fish, but whatever they have is high quality. The first time we went, we were disappointed that none of the dessert options was available - due to a busy weekend. Seriously? It was a Wednesday. But the waiter offered us cookies, or another handroll instead, an offer we gladly took up, as there were so many things we wanted to try on the menu. For our second visit, the menu indicates that we can sub a dessert for handroll or miso soup. A great option for people who don't have a sweet tooth. Their regular prices are pretty reasonable for the quality, so it's a place I can regularly come for my sushi fix. My only complain is that street parking is not easy to find. You can park at Milan's garage though. The first few levels are for the supermarket only but a few levels up you can pay and park, $5 for the whole day.

Miami Spice Menu 2025 (Dinner). The food was delicious! My personal favorites were the eel hand roll, the torched faroe islands salmon belly, and the mascarpone cheesecake. The Miami Spice menu is great because you get to try a little bit of everything, and I would definitely go back to try those three things in more quantity. The service was good! They had an attentive wait staff. We didn't make reservations, and they were still able to accommodate us. The place is cute! It's part of a new building. So, it has a fresh, open space aspect to it. There is limited parking. You either have to park on the street or in a residential parking garage. We risked parking in the Milam's parking garage (which is also a residential parking garage) since it was early enough (Saturday at 6:00 PM), but if you like the Metrorail, it is located right next to the Douglas station (Green Line).

Five stars for the amazing and fresh fish and delicious meal! I placed an order for pick up and got really good BOGO deals that saved me a lot! When I arrived to the restaurant, I thought it was very cute and cozy. Where they fell short in earning five stars is in the service from the young lady who is in the front. She was working with those of us who had a pick up. She was unorganized and the people she was nice and respectful to was the guys who were picking up orders. I said good evening, and her response was what do you want? It was wild, but at the same time not surprising. Customer service is an essential part of my experience wherever I go. I would go back because the food was great. Be sure to check it out and I hope you have a better experience. Enjoy!

Came here for Miami Spice and had a good time. Service was slow so I didn't need a reservation. I have to say the customer service was good and all the fish we had was vet fresh and flavorful. The band roll was amazing I wish i could have more. The tostada and crispy rice was amazing too everything was excellent and the presentation was beautiful.

Was feeling FOMO over this place so I made my way to coral gables with my bf to give it a try. I attached a picture of our receipt with everything we ordered. For the price... the sushi was not it. Everything was quarter sized. Flavor was nonexistent. All 3 rolls we ordered tasted the same, mind you one of them was wagyu steak - literally tasted like a crab roll. Their chipotle ponzu sauce tasted like nickels (best way to describe it tbh). I attached a picture with 2 little pieces of sushi - one of them is the Canadian snow crab roll ($16) , the other one is the Spicy Canadian snow crab roll ($14). They advertise the Canadian snow crab roll has double the portion of snow crab for those who love snow crab however, both of these had the same portion lol..... and just overall, I'm disappointed. I'm only giving them 2 stars because the order was ready by the time I arrived, and they packed it correctly. That deserves 2 stars right? But the food, 0 stars.

My only complaint is that food came out a bit slow, especially considering it wasn't very busy at the time. Like serve me all my orders all at once pleaseeeeee so I can indulge lol What I Had: _________________ Sashimi Assortment - 10/10 Freaking delicious. Light, decadent, and incredibly fresh. Each piece tasted clean and high-quality, the kind of sashimi that melts the second it hits your mouth. They did their thing! Kanpachi Sashimi - 10/10 So good. Soft, delicate, and perfectly fresh. Every bite was balanced and flavorful without being heavy at all. Nigiri - White Fish Tasting - 11/10 Hands down my favorite part of my experience. I ordered multiple rounds (they come two per order), including branzino and snapper. The branzino was unreal. I wanted only branzino... that is how marvelous it was. Topped with this umami crunch that added so much texture and flavor. It was literally mouthwatering, like a burst of flavor in every bite. I honestly could've kept ordering this all night. Nigiri - Bluefin Tuna Tasting - 5/10 This one just wasn't for me. It wasn't fishy, but the texture was very slimy and didn't sit well in my mouth. It didn't swallow smoothly and just wasn't appetizing to me personally. Definitely a pass. Blue Crab Hand Roll - 6.5/10 I know this is a fan favorite, but it was just okay for me. Not bad at all, just didn't wow me compared to everything else I had. For $6, it's fine, but I wouldn't rush to reorder it. Customer Service: 8.5/10 Friendly and helpful, just slightly slow. We got there a bit before our reservation time, and they let us sit in the smaller dining area as we waited for our spots to open up. Most memorable were the clam broth, beef loin and carrots, and the fatty tuna nigiri with caviar on top. The fatty tuna nigiri with caviar was the main reason I wanted the tasting! There is an à la carte menu too, but it was a lot easier just letting the chefs portion out our meal. Would definitely check them out and enjoy a superb evening out!

You can access the mall area from the left of the hotel lobby. What impressed me most was the presentation of all the dishes. They really took great care to make everything look beautiful. All the plates and dishes were just so stunning. The other thing that really stood out was the service. They were so friendly and helpful. I truly appreciate when servers know their menu well and are able to make suggestions. I can't remember my server's name, but she was just top-notch. We ordered: - Miso soup, (served in a charming, Japanese chawan mushi cup) the flavor was really good and strong. (I hate it when it's weak) - Spicy dumplings. They tasted homemade. Yummy - Shrimp shu mai, good, tasted as it should - Tanaka roll, with extra crispies on top, (I was not a fan because I did not expect it to be deep-fried. if it had not been deep-fried, I would've liked it.) - Peking duck served in an impressive three tier tower that looks like a round Chinese Temple. - Pork Belly Bao bun, this was also a miss for me because I expected it to taste like barbecue, but it was just really salty like they used a lot of brown salty sauce. All in all, I really enjoyed this restaurant, even though I didn't like those two items. Bec But, because of the excellent service, the atmosphere and the beautiful way they served the food, I decided to leave them a five star review. Those dishes weren't bad they just weren't what I expected. We don't live in the area so if we were to stay in this hotel again, we would definitely dine here again. I'm not sure what they add to it, but it is delicious. If you have room for dessert, the fried milk is interesting because it has several different flavors and textures you can combine. We normally check the Michelin Guide first but there's none for Miami so we decided to browse through Tock for fun. This was how we stumbled upon Sushi Bar and we are so glad we did! The price point of $185 per seating is super worth it. You get a lot of fish and they are very creative with each nigiri. Their spin on it shows their creative side (with Miami flavors) but is not super over the top and sauce does not drown out the freshness of the fish. Something that stood out to me was how they shaved frozen monkfish liver as a topping. I wanna go back just for that!! They also had some pieces where they smoked the fish. Besides the food, I thought it was very creative how they welcomed guests with a welcome drink at the hotel bar. This was so unique! We finished ours early, and had some of their other drinks - they were all very good! Once they're ready, a server came to get us from the hotel bar and led us through an alleyway to a separate building which was where the actual omakase was taking place. The atmosphere was dark and gave off speakeasy vibes, which I thought was different to other omakase places. Bar is spacious enough to still have private conversations. We did the beverage pairing and we really appreciated the sommelier's knowledge. Overall, we would want to come back again for another tasting experience!!
