When I calmly explained that concerns about a child's behavior should be addressed to the parents rather than directed aggressively at the child, the manager became combative and dismissive instead of apologizing or handling the situation professionally. A family attraction should know how to treat families with basic respect. The issue was the manager's attitude and lack of professionalism. What should have been a fun family outing was overshadowed by an unpleasant interaction with someone who clearly lacks the temperament for customer-facing management with young children and families. I won't be returning, and I would encourage other families to boycott this establishment. This is absolutely not the type of environment they want for their children.

Those three things alone keep me coming back. Don't let the price fool you though. This course can be a real challenge. There are hazards everywhere, and it definitely rewards accuracy over power. If you can consistently play well here, you'll probably find a lot of other courses feel much easier by comparison. The course isn't perfect, but it's a fantastic place to sharpen your game without spending a fortune. Somehow Pali Golf Course is the one he wants to go to the most. I came along as a rider (no charge; cart fee $26) yesterday and I could see why. 90% of the course's aesthetics has nothing to do with design and all credit to Mother Nature. It's always so lush and green. I'd imagine it's constantly cool and breezy coz of its strategic valley-ish location. The "amenities" definitely look their age (50+ years old). There is no snack bar, just one vending machine. There is a pro shop but limited hours; it was closed when we were there. Bathrooms are clean, with soap and paper towels, even the one by the 3rd and 15th tee boxes. The road though... so many potholes. It was just us two for our 9:18 tee time. The very friendly lady behind the check-in window was super kind and helpful and encouraging to the kid. She warned us it was a busy day, which we found out later probably meant the pace of play would be slow. Took approx 5 hours for all 18 holes, and only coz the trio in front of us very kindly and warmly invited the kid to play with them ("we have to wait anyway might as well wait together!") It's a very no-frills course. Minimally staffed as well, and most that I've seen are middle-aged or older. Most groups use the cart but I have seen a few use pushcarts. Seems like a rather hardcore course! Also kinda scary when errant balls can come from any direction because the holes snake from 1st to 18th. (I heard someone tell "Fore!" coz their ball curved so much to the right.) It was windy yesterday. I packed a jacket and blanket for my legs and for sun protection. I also packed snacks. Fortunately there are trash cans throughout the course, so there wasn't too much litter, most of which were smashed tees.

No. Is it the longest? Also no. BUT... it's always in great shape, greens roll true despite their small, undulating size. And holes 13-17 are among my favorite in the U.S.! It can be as challenging or as easy as you make it - wind gusts off the coast can be 30-40mph which adds a difficulty not found at most courses. The staff are uber friendly, the brand new carts are a great positive and the course layout next to USMC flight path is a unique experience you cannot get anywhere else (except for maybe USN-Coronado haha). One of my absolute favorite courses and can't wait to come back next year.

We went on a Monday and couldn't get a tee time until 2:00 because of an earlier tournament. The weather was a beautiful overcast day where we didn't have to worry about sunscreen. The 13th and 14th holes were along the coastline with views that make playing here worth it. The greens were super slow on this day and you could easily lose your ball in the rough, but it was a very enjoyable day with close friends. I will patiently wait for another chance to play there.

We haven't seen our friends in a while and thought this would be an amazing gathering place! We can hit the range and catch the SNF Rams vs. Broncos game. We booked the middle room for SNF on September 27, 2026 from 2PM-6PM (4 hours). The ad also said to bring your own food so we decided to pick up some KJ's on the way to Bayview. When we arrived, the room was stocked with range balls and we also ordered some beers, chips and salsa, and cheesesticks. The Rams/Broncos game ended up being a fun watch and we had a great time hitting range balls and catching up. Our friend snuck away to pay the bill. Later on, we discovered the bill came out to about $476 after tax. Our friend added on a generous $82 tip for a total of about $558. Here is what future visitors should know (TL;DR This is a Scam): 1. Scamview Driving Range charged us $75/hour even though we mentioned the NFL discount in both the phone conversations and email confirmation bookings. The Instagram ad says "50% discount" and states a rate of $37.50/hour. We booked this room because we interpreted that to mean 50% off of $37.50 = $18.75/hour 2. The ad clearly states "bring your own food or order from us." Scamview said Oh yeah? Eat this $30 outside food fee too. The ad doesn't mention this extra charge. Btw, we ordered food and drinks from Scamview 3. We were also charged a higher price on range balls that we were specifically told to get from the staff 4. When we inquired about all of this, the Scamview worker pushed back, made excuses, and was confrontational 5. Our friend tipped $82 on the inflated, overcharged, fraudulent bill. The only service the workers provided was to bring us the overpriced range balls. Be better.

I search the requirement to play there and it states since 2020 VHIC enable me and my guest to play. I had played Kaneohe Klipper a couple years ago which also requires me to go to the check point building with my guest and allowed us to play there. So...WTF this MP is talking about? We left and went to the Navy Marine course that was off base a few miles away. Got on to pay in half an hour. Can't describe this course condition but Navy Marine course was great. Played there 3 times last year and 3 times this year. Who knows how many customers the MP are turning away. Got a phone message saying "I missed my tee time and did I forgot about it." Tried calling back at the phone number provided and the phone was not in service. I even searched and found "active service personnel number to call", to play and that was not in service. MP should update their knowledge of what Vets with VHIC card privileges are! Quite disappointed! Sorry for the bad review but if no matter if Mamala Bay course is a Championship Golf Course many are not able to see or play it.

Nice little course, not the best of greens but playable. No traps, no water so you can concentrate on making good contact. For the most part the areas around the greens are decent. Easy walk and you only need a handful of clubs, a couple tees and a ball. Pretty hard to lose one here. Would be fun for even non-golfers. Only challenging part is getting on base!

Hickam Par 3 is a great little course for practicing your short game and just enjoying being…read moreoutside. This course is located on Base Pearl Harbor Hickam and requires base access. The green fees are charged based on your military pay grade. This is an easy course to walk and play. It is a short course and you really don't have to carry all your clubs or a big golf bag, you really might only need 4 clubs. Not alot of people playing this course so it is great if you are learning and need some extra time. You wont be rushed and if you are the people are ok with playing through. They have a small pro shop that sells some clubs, balls, hat's, and other golf equipment at pretty good prices. They service is outstanding. Also in the area is a small bar with great service and a pretty good selection of drinks. The ladies are very nice and helpful. Lots of T.Vs so you won't miss the game. They have dive bar prices.

Since moving here, I was excited to try playing again and was a little disappointed to learn that O'ahu only has four functional courses. We started playing them with Dexter's Alley, which is located on Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam; it should be said first that you need base access to play on this course! Going to Dexter's Alley, it's clear to see that once this course had a lot of time and effort put into it. Today, while still super fun, it's missing some of the grandeur necessary to make it a truly great course. The disc golf enthusiast that created the course has since moved from O'ahu and taken about four baskets necessary to make this complete. While this is a disappointment, it can easily be remedied by picking natural formations (like trees) to stand in for the missing baskets. It makes these holes less of a challenge, but one can still complete the course. Dexter's Alley is in JBPHH, right inside the main Hickam gate. It's in a residential so be respectful to the homes and yards surrounding the public space. Dexter's Alley is an alley/park, with plenty of parking. There is a road that runs through the course, but it's almost never used. On base, there is free parking almost everywhere, just pay attention to the signs. One big benefit of this course is it's free. It's also open anytime, so come at your leisure (obviously, it's better during daylight). In this course, there the front 9 holes and the back 9 holes. These add to 18 total, by sharing certain baskets (and in this case, natural formations). This could cause periods of overlapping the same hole, just be patient and wait for others playing. The hazards on this course are the strong winds at this part of the island, and the highway/base entrance. If your disc goes over the fence, good luck getting it back easily! Hmm... Disc Golf? I've played golf but not with frisbees. The better half decided to have the…read moresudden itch to play frisbee golf due to some nostalgic memories. I agreed to this since it's different and I was curious about those baskets with the chains on them. I wanted to know how different it was from normal golf besides the use of disc from a golf ball. Basically all rules are the same. The Course I was told the course is made by an individual that loved disc golf in the past. He made his own home made baskets with bike tires and other items you would probably find in a junk yard and put the course together. Amazing work! However, there are missing baskets on this 18 par course since the gentlemen had left Hawaii and took the other baskets with him. So use what you kindergarten teacher taught you and imagine or place a mark in place of those missing baskets. The trees would be the only shade since the course is not entirely maintained. For the most part, it is peaceful and not entirely busy. We've only encountered two people we had to share the course with. Give and Take Allow about a little over an hour or two depending on how honest you play the game by the book or how terrible you are in the game. The better half said give and take 1 hour. That's a lie!!!! As for me, I was terrible enough that I was 6 over on a par 3 course. (I can hear you laughing BTW!) Attire Since the course is not fully maintained, I would wear good shoes to prevent the grass briars from poking into your slippas. I wore jelly flats and they went straight through! Moisture wicking cool mesh or other sweat wicking garments are highly recommended since the course will have many patches of open visibility to the sun. Bring, sunblock, hats for the bald headed or nearly bald headed individuals. (You don't want to get burned up there) Lastly, keep hydrated and bring your Hydroflasks and some extra snacks in between a half range into your rounds to prevent from getting hangry (for the ladies). Important Info 1) Must have government ID to get in on base. 2) This is a free/gratis/libre course. 3) Adhere to parking rules and read the signs since this is burrowed deep within a residential area. 4) To locate the course, simply enter Dexters Alley on your navigation system and it should lead you on the spot. 5) Please see the link on the YELP bio site of Dexter's Alley for the map of the course and score sheet. 6) Stretch your heart out before swinging or throwing, your shoulders and muscles are going to hate you on your 14th hole. 7) BYOD- Bring your own Discs Otherwise, enjoy and have fun on this free course. This is a fun free course to start with especially if you're new to the game.
