There's a swimming pool that's open to the public during certain hours! On the right side of the road, there's a large field - for flag football and soccer, tennis courts, and a skateboard park. All of the parking is free! I drop off my ballot in the parking lot on the gym side of the park. It's so convenient!

There are several other skates parks in HI, but this is in the top three. It isn't too busy and parking is super easy to find. The parking lot is past that, but there's a few prime spots at the entrance & can park along the side of the road (hillside). The entrance is on Fort Barrette Rd. a little after the main Kapolei intersection. This is a good park for beginners to advanced with lots of obstacles to try out tricks & level up skills, it's laid back and family friendly. 1 star removed only because there used to be lots of homeless & sketchy people at times causing trouble. It doesn't look to be the case now tho.

Whenever our little one slipped and fell while skating, team members promptly came to assist us without delay, making us feel cared for the whole time. What's even better is the separate beginner-only area on the ice, super friendly for inexperienced kids and grown-ups learning to skate. The entry fee is $19 per guest, which is very reasonable for the service and facilities provided. We'll definitely come back again!

Located at 4510 Salt Lake Blvd, in Stadium Mall shopping center which is Diamond Head of Aloha Stadium. It has plenty of free parking. Hours vary depending on the day due to ice hockey team practices, their games and skating lessons. Sometimes rink is closed for a week to two weeks for maintenance so be sure to check website first. Saturday hours are 10:00 am - 4:00 pm then close down and reopen at 5:00ish for the evening customers. Ticket prices are reasonable at $18 for all ages and include the skates. Must bring own socks. If you are not skating and merely a chaperone for young keiki, I didn't get charged. No outside food or flasks allowed. We were there Saturday morning and staff handing out the skates were quick and efficient so it went fast. You just tell them your size shoe and they're back in a flash with the skates. Enough tables and stools to sit down to put on skates. There's also aluminum bleachers on one side for onlookers. But bleachers are cold on your okole so maybe sit on your sweater? A fun live deejay keeps the music going entire time with jokes and other information. Kids and adults enjoy a cordoned off area with "walkers" to hold onto and push yourself around a small area to get the hang of it. Venturing out to the open larger part of rink you can clutch onto rails as you walk around or practice your spins in the middle of rink. There are two staff skate patrollers to enforce rules for the safety of others and they are very good about it and kind. Things like not holding hands in large groups - only a couple are allowed - no holding phones in hands to take pictures while on ice, no carrying of children on the ice, no jumping or racing allowed. Toward end of morning session the deejay turned off majority of lights and disco ball lit up to make it fun! How the kids screamed with glee when this happened. Then they do a limbo contest and the kids line up trying their best to skate under a stick as it gets lower and lower. No prizes given just the fun of participating! Onto the concession. Very nice staff working this area. Standard food like nachos, saimin, pizza and bottled water, hot chocolate available. Not real pricey and it's good to take a break then back to the ice. I noticed many kids not wearing warm items- shorts and tshirts - but evidently all the skating around gets them hot so they don't feel the cold at all. Onlookers beware it's like 40 degrees inside so I dressed warmly. A Pro Shop is available for gloves, hats, skates and other paraphernalia. Lose one star due to employee who wasn't very nice when I bought gloves for granddaughter but didn't fit her so went back right away to exchange and she wouldn't let me. Tersely said "no returns!" It's not like we wore them all day then tried to return. Just wanted to exchange within a couple of minutes of buying for larger pair. That being said I didn't argue, just paid the $6 for another pair. Bathrooms were roomy and clean with padded floors so you could walk in with skates on. Oh and one last thing, if you leave the rink they won't let you come back in without paying. You'll have to buy another ticket. This is to prevent people from buying cheaper or other food outside then returning. They want to keep their concession open so it makes total business sense. Grandparents enjoy babysitting because kids are on ice entire time and you can just watch them with a nice cup of hot chocolate! When the deejay announces they are closing up, there's a mad dash to return skates but all you have to do is plop them down on the counter- no need sign anything or check out with staff. Easy peasy!

Enter the dreamland of playground wonderland!…read more As I was searching on Yelp for Aikahi Elementary School for their Swap Meet event the first thing that popped up was their Playground...!?! So random...No...have you seen this land of happy dreams even as an adult. First thing you see is the giant Dragon with each scale encase a tile with art by children and those tiles are at entrance area as well. I wanted to take more pictures but it was filled with children "of course lol!" and didn't want to take their faces but the rock wall, Turtle hideaway, even a tree house looking play area I was just so impressed. I assume it's exclusively for the school students but open to all on this day did draw an impressive crowd understandably, and what a great environment to have the kids go outside and just have fun. So highly recommended the drive for any events they may have as this is an impressive park that will please all ages! Thank you!

My sons school comes here for flag football. There's a parking lot with several stalls BUT... there's not enough stalls for everyone. You'll have to park on the street. But be VERY CAREFUL! There are specific NO PARKING SECTIONS. And if you do park there, the cops WILL TAG & TICKET YOU. So.... NOT WORTH IT!!! Just find a parking more down the road or on the side streets. Every Sunday we meet here for our sons flag football games. There's an ICEE TRUCK that's here from the beginning til latest 3:30/4pm. He's a very busy guy. It never fails. There's ALWAYS a line with someone buying an icee. Especially on those HOT HUMID DAYS! I like this spot. It's a really nice area to play at. Also, the weather can be BIPOLAR @ Times. I mean no disrespect by that comment. I mean that the weather has a personality of its own. One minute it's HOT & SUNNY & the next ITS POURING RAIN. The good thing is... you can see the storm-a-Comin from far away. Problem is... it's either NOT THAT FAR AWAY OR IT COMES QUICKLY. So we ALL bring our pop up tents, chairs, coolers, wagons, umbrellas & mats or blankets preparing for any type of weather. It's a relaxing but fun way to spend our Sunday's. I LOVE IT!!! Walmart is right down the road too. So if we need anything, we just go there. The shopping center is right there as well. Here gas station, Zippys Restaurant, UFC Gym is also there. For those who'd want to work out a bit. Many more choices for all to see. After all, it is MILILANI TOWN CENTER, right?! Back to the park... OH & there is a bathroom for both women & men. Most of the time it's fairly clean. But bring your own toilet papers Incase it's out. They also have a skating rink on the side. I think there's a roller derby team that practices there on Sundays too. Oh! The cool thing about this place is... the PARK IS LITERALLY THE BACKYARD OF A FEW HOMES IN THE AREA. So if these people ever wanna watch the games, they can either watch from their yard OR walk out back onto the field. This park is so big that we make 5-6 separate fields for the flag football games. That way we finish by 5pm. And we have a lot of teams too! And even then, there's STILL MORE ROOM in the park for someone to play a game of baseball & perhaps soccer. OH AND ONE MORE THING... this park actually has another side to enter onto. Where I CHECKED IN, is where the parking lot is & considered the FRONT ENTRANCE. Whereas the OTHER SIDE is street parking & FAR FAR AWAY FROM THE FRONT. Reason is, it's suppose to be a loop of some sort that some get lost because it doesn't actually LOOP AROUND LIKE A CIRCLE because the military or state blocked it. So now, It just has another entrance way. So be very careful on HOW you get here. In fact, if you ever do get close enough to where the FIRST PARK with a playground is on your right-side at the STOO sign. You make a LEFT, and follow that road ALL THE WAY DOWN til you reach THIS PARK. If you make a RIGHT TURN instead, you'll end up on the BACKSIDE of the THIS PARK. The area seems safe, the grass is very green, the facilities looked clean. They also have a lot of tennis courts and a children's area. If you're looking for a spot to let your kids play or to get some outdoor fun in yourself, this is a pretty good park to check out while in waipahu/Pearl city.
