I was having trouble with my Carnival, so I took it in. When I would try to hit the gas to accelerate it wouldn't do anything! I dropped it off because we had a second vehicle we could use so I didn't have to wait. I was expecting the worst because of the issues it was having seemed major. When I heard back from the shop, they thoroughly inspected everything and rather than just trying to replace a bunch of things I didn't need, they simply cleaned everything up and it was just an issue with a sensor. I visited this location last Wednesday and bought 4 new tires plus a warranty for 900 bucks total from Colton. After making the purchase, he handed me a piece of paper that said my alignment was currently all out of whack, which would make my tires wear unevenly and void the warranty I had just given him $150 for, unless I got it fixed immediately (but I had just given him all the money I had available). My tires were worn unevenly when I arrived because of a previous alignment issue, but I paid a shop to fix this last year (which I told him), so this was entirely unexpected. I would not have bought the warranty if I they had mentioned this before I gave them all my savings. I might not have even bought a whole new set of tires until I could have gotten the alignment fixed. Ended up with new rotors added with pads due to that's the policy. New oil filter gasket out of the box said was faulty and had to replace it. There for 3 hours. Next day, oil leaking out of Jeep. Back to Belle and found out oil housing damaged. Would not hold oil and needed to be replaced. This took another 3-1/2 hours to repair. This review is only for the free air pump outside. Being obsessive about my tire pressures on both of my vehicles, I feel qualified to speak on this. While I have been a customer of their Grape road location and they have treated me well with new tire purchases and installations, the pump there sucks- takes a good 10 minutes PER TIRE to inflate my not over-the-top but large-ish truck tires. The pump here at this Southside location gets the job done in about 1 minute per tire. Pressure on their pump matches my personal gauge. Bought new vehicle from Chevy gates and was getting a replacement windshield. Bell tire ordered wrong windshield and we rescheduled for a few days later. Arrived at 10am and they said itll be around a hour, two hours later i started looking at newer customers pass me up. Starting looking for my car and it was finished parked for who knows how long. I waited 3 and a half hours to have a flat tire looked at to be changed. I just put 4 new tires on a few weeks back purchased from your store. I was in Belle tire yesterday. Sept. 7 as for the customer service it was quite pleasant up and until my brand new 22inch wheels 1 of which was dropped and chipped did the experience take a turn. Unfortunately I didn't record my vehicle or BRAND NEW RIMS AND TIRES prior to letting the techs touch my vehicle. This should be a standard practice for anyone dealing with any shops. I have purchased several sets of tires from them also including the replacement and repair coverage which is not cheap. I had a nail in my tire so I went there 10 minutes after they opened to get it repaired quickly. Tjey told me it would be a 2 hour wait following those that were ahead of me. There is ABSOLUTELY no reason for someone to have to wait that long for something that would take less than 30 minutes. Why would you not have an express area where you can get your customers in and out with quick jobs instead of making them wait behind someone getting a whole set of tires and wheel alignments. This is more of a warning than a review. I went to Belle tire to have my brakes inspected and they informed me my brake pads needed replacement on the rear axel which was fine. But then the service rep. said the cost to replace them would be over $500 because they were going to replace the pads and rotors. The problem is, I had the rotors replaced 2 years ago. It's seems that the norm today is that any place you go, you have to replace the rotors every time you replace the brake pads "or you void the warranty". But if you check your rotors with your finger and they are a smooth surface and your car also brakes smoothly, there should be no need to have your rotors replaced. If your car does not brake smoothly and shakes a little when braking, then your rotors are probably warped and need replacement. I had Belle change the break pads only - but of course I lost the warranty. Not a big deal to me. I saved $200. read more

This is a great store. They are courteous and prompt. I came in at 7:50 am, and, although they weren't officially open yet, they responded immediately to my need to have a huge piece of metal removed from my tire. my car was in the bay right at 8:00 am. So we did what we could ( new tires on the back and some other work) totaling $600 We then we're to come back in two weeks and get the rest done to make his vehicle safe to drive back and forth to Ball State. Always use Belle Tire for oil changes so when our brake pads went out we decided to use them. Great price and employees are always courteous, This first would of gotten 5 stars with one exception. We made am appointment a couple days in advance to get our break pads on and no word to us that break pads had to be ordered. My husband arrived for appointment and told him the service was done. I bought tires from this Belle tire store on S. Michigan St. in South Bend a little over a year ago. I went back after 5000 miles to have my tires rotated, the guy told me they were too busy. I ended up finally getting my tires rotated at Walmart where I paid. I just left this Belle tire store, I had a right front flat I needed to have repaired, I was also going to have new Windshield wipers and air filter. The guy told me they're too busy they are booked up they can't fix my tire, but they'll be happy to put on the windshield wipers and the air cleaner. Went to Belle to get four new tires. They let my battery die and then insisted my panels lights were 'dim' because battery died but would reset after it charged a while. Lights weren't dim but non-existent. Got to Goshen and front tire came off rim completely. They towed it back to South Bend and insisted my alarm went off while way although no one else at my home ever heard the alarm. So they fixed tire but battery died again and they insisted I would have to pay to have it towed out of their bay. Following day they had my vehicle towed to Mishawaka without informing me and my battery was replaced by dealer. read more

I had one flat tire, but the salesman refused to sell just one tire, or even two. They insisted that they could only sell four tires at a time. He said, "We're not allowed to sell just two tires. It could ruin your alignment and we'd be responsible." The existing tires were only 6 months old with full tread. I left there and went Monteith who said of course they'd sell one tire, but the flat tire was fixable and didn't need replaced at all.
