I'm waiting for my quick oil change, with free coffee, television, and pop corn, while I listen to the front desk offer a guy a way better deal than he could get anywhere else. As I sip my coffee and type this review thanks to the free WiFi and cell phone charging station, I get offered my choice of fresh off the grill hamburgers, hotdogs or chicken...whaaaaaaat?! Almost too friendly? My car should be ready soon and I'll go home (2 minutes away...1 with no traffic) and get myself back to work before anyone misses me. read more

Had 6new tires put on at the Cleveland rd store 5/11/26 told me they would take care of everything, going down the road and front driver's side tire going flat so fast it pulls the truck into the on coming lane nearly hitting a motorcycle rider and ended up In the ditch the guy on the bike turns around comes back to see what happened. I get out of the truck look down in my front tire is completely flat after inspecting the tire. Nothing was wrong with the tire. Whoever put the HUD cap back on the truck, put it on over the valve stem after getting the HUD cap off we found that best one did not replace any of the valve stems. They just left the old ones on which is a complete hazard as we found out those maybe $.50 each easy to install. Nearly cost my life or the motorcycle guy his life. read more

We were driving to Michigan when we realized there was a hole in our tire. We were panicking and I Googled tire places near our location and called Zolman's in South Bend. Jason answered and could not have been more friendly, helpful, and reassuring. We were about 20 minutes away from their location on 4411 Quality Drive. They were going to be closing in about an hour, but took us right away. Every one of the employees were very friendly and helpful, and the store was super clean. We thought we were going to need a whole new tire, but they were able to patch up our tire and we were on our way in less than an hour. I really wish we had such a place in Chicago! read more

Zolmans got me in right away, explained every part of the way what was wrong with my car and what they needed to do, and were very kind and upfront about everything. Would recommend to anyone! read more

we have been taking our famiky vehicles for service and tires to Zolmans for several years. Usually we go to Bittersweet, but this time, we were recommended to take our SUV to the McKinley Store and speak with John Bauger. He was very knowledgeabl, as we were told he was, and got our vehicle diagnosed and repair the same day. wow what a difference in the way it runs. Thanks John and whatever mechanic worked on it. We have known Nate for years, and always feel confident with Zolman's, whether it is Derrick at Bittersweet or now, John at McKinley. Keep up the good work! Ed & Karen Williams read more

Great customer service. They actually take walk ins or will try to fit you in if it's a urgent issue with your vehicle. They work very efficiently and quick. They have clear upfront pricing and they always have a very professional atmosphere with nice seating, coffee, charging ports etc. they have been doing my tires for years but even their other services are top notch! Def recommend! read more

great service and the people was very helpful , the time it took him to fix my car the fastest best service I've ever had

I LOVE ZOLMAN TIRE. There is nothing worse than running into car trouble when you're busy. Zolman staff has accommodated me as a walk in with super short notice every time I've had an issue. When I bought my car (used), they checked all of the normal things for FREE just to help me out. They changed smaller parts for me for FREE and given me discounts on oil changes for synthetic oil ($$$). Aaron is the actual best mechanic and the whole team deserves 5 stars. Truly a well oiled machine with FABULOUS results read more

Professional, friendly, efficient, honest! Old school customer service. Zolman is the best!

Great service has always from Aaron and his staff. Repairs were completed in in the same day. Always friendly and courteous. Great communication too. Keep up the good work. read more

My daughter is a student locally in SB. Our local Toyota dealer in Chicago stated we needed brakes at a very recent oil change. Didn't have time to get it done in Chicago so My daughter brought it to Zolman and they stated brakes were good for another 5-10k miles. No pressure to change brakes. Honest. read more

I had my car towed to Zolman's Vaness location after my vehicle stopped running. My gas gauge read one half of a tank of gas. I was told I needed a fuel pump.It cost me $760. Upon return of my vehicle it was by chance that I wanted to fill up even though my fuel gauge read one half tank. The tank took 10 gallons which is my tank capacity. I contacted Zolman. I was sat down by the woman at the front desk in a separate room, like a child about to get scolded. Bad business attitude exuded from her. I got the run around and had to come back three separate times. They never made good on their warranty. I think the fuel pump was never changed and they simply put some gas in it. Thanks for ripping me off. NOT. read more

My daughter who attends college in SB got her first flat tire and brought her car to Zolman's. They were extremely polite and professional. They quickly repaired the tire and sent her on her way. As a parent 1,300 miles away, it's nice to know there is a reliable tire shop that treats students right. read more

Called the Vaness location at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon about a tire that was losing air. The employee was so helpful and said we could run it in right then, knowing that the shop was closing for the weekend. Service was very quick. Would definitely take our truck back when we need service in the future! read more

Absolutely fantastic experience at Zolman on Vaness!! I've had more car trouble than I should with some major issues including engine and transmission stuff. Aaron and Jennifer have both been incredibly helpful and honest throughout all my dealings with them. They have offered plenty of clearly explained advice, they have taken care of issues in a timely manner and always been very polite. What I appreciate even more is that they have been very honest about some transmission issues that they couldn't appropriately fix themselves and recommended options for repair. They looked at it and when it was something too specialized, they didn't try and create work to be done and charge me but rather have given me the info they found and pointed me in the right direction. I will never go anywhere else(unless I have to) to have me vehicle worked on! read more

Excellent service great price only problem I have I should've been bringing my car here sooner

The store was clean and the staff pleasant. They did both a computer diagnostic and confirmed the results independently and did not charge me. I can't speak highly enough about their integrity and service. read more

My Husbands car would barely run, we thought something was really wrong with it. We took it to Zolmans and come to find out, he just needed an oil change really bad. They took care of it, and never tried to talk us into repairs that were not needed. We really appreciate this, most places will find a million things wrong just to get you to spend more money. Thanks Zolmans! We for sure will be back for our car needs. read more

I went it to get my tires and tire alignment checked on my recent car purchase. I talked to the men working the front desk and after hearing my car issues, they both thought that a free tire cross might fix the problem instead of a $80 alignment. I took them up on the offer and after the work was done, the car drove straight! These men seemed straightforward and honest - I mean...I walked out with my problem fixed and $80 in my pocket! read more

An outstanding outlet for service and friendliness! Heidi did me a great favor and worked my dead battery issue into a busy afternoon schedule. The car was repaired when she said it would be and the job was completed perfectly! Thank you! read more

This me and my fiances go to place for oil changes and minor mechanical issues for our cars. The guys at the front desk are very knowledgable and honest, which is a great help. I am used to California prices and this place is considerably cheaper but I imagine that relative to South Bend/Indiana they might not be the cheapest. As noted by other reviewers it is nice that this place is so nice to campus - you can drop you car off walk to school and pick it up after class. read more

I discovered today that I needed new tire ASAP. After calling around and having a defeating experience at another discount tire place, I found Zolman. I spoke with Aaron who was polite and helpful. When I went in, it was discovered that I actually needed 3 new tires badly. I didn't have much money and was near tears. Aaron figured out a way for me to get all the tires I need and afford it. I was so relieved and happy I wanted to hug him right there! I can't even tell you. They were so wonderful and wouldn't let me get back on the road with dangerous tires. I am so grateful! The mechanics were super fast and my car is driving smoothly! I will not be going anywhere else from now on, and will refer everyone I can to this Zolman. Thank you so, so much! read more

Zolman was my go-to-choice for car maintenance when I was a student at ND. Everything seemed to be fined -- a bit overpriced, but the location was great. SadIy, when I recently ordered a Carfax report for my vehicle, I discovered that someone at Zolman Tire had reported very wrong odometer reading, and it even triggered the odometer rollback fraud. This significantly affected the price of my vehicle, and I wish they could be more responsible for such reporting process. read more

This particular location has great mechanics and counter people. Ive been dealing with them for years, never disappointed and always treated fairly. read more

Arrived in South Bend on a Friday evening & had 2 nails in passenger front tire! All tire stores were closed so I had to call stores in the morning! I spoke with Jennifer and she went out of her way to find the tire I needed as it was for a 4 month old VW Atlas! She got me straight in, and was even able to repair the defective tire! Great service, and price and went above and beyond. Wish there was a Zolman Tire in Southern Indiana. read more

Charged us an outrageous amount ($800) to replace our daughter's G5 fuel lines (she was at UND and we are 4 hours away) and when I got the car home and up on the rack, I had to re-do the job that was thrown together with zip ties and with fuel lines scraping against the heat shield and other locations (didn't bother with the factory routing and keepers). Apparently they are all highschoolers or just assigned a highschooler to this job. VERY DANGEROUS!!! WAY RIP-OFF!!! read more

Thank you Zolman for the quick, efficient and extremely helpful service. My tire is good as new and you guys rocked it! All of you were more than helpful, kind and your service is excellent. I will most certainly be recommending you to all of my peers. Thanks again. read more

Tried to stop by for an oil change but had to make an appointment for the next day. When I returned I was taken in 30 minutes early and was fixed up real quick. They suggested I rotate the tires (for free) and then told me I had an issue with a strut which they said I didn't have to fix right away but keep an eye on it. Really? Honest? Prices listed and a $5 coupon? I'll be back. read more

I used this shop on multiple occasions while I was in grad school. Serpentine belt replaced, transmission fluid replaced, oil change, tire check, etc. The prices are posted on the wall, so I'm not sure why people think they are being overcharged. You can also find coupons online. Since they knew I was waiting for my car, the work was always done quickly (and they have a decent little waiting room with good chairs, outlets, and tv). I recommend them. I have also used the location on Edison, but I prefer this one. read more

Very honest, very smart and fast. I trust these guys to do a great job and stay within estimate.

This has been my "go-to" place for 20+ years. Tires and engine repairs. I have never had a problem with a bill. They go out of their way to tell me what to repair and what to wait on. They have a great service where they store snow tires over the winter, then it is very inexpensive to switch the tires out in the spring. They have never tried to upsell me on anything. In fact, the last time I bought tires they went out of their way to explain why I didn't need a more expensive option. One time I was repairing an older van and was expecting a big repair on the electrical system. It turns out it was rear taillight full of water and a fuse. No charge. Love these folks. read more

They got me in within an hour and I did not have an appointment. Reasonably quick service and nothing too noteworthy, just the way it should be when you get routine maintenance. read more

Zolman Tire saved us twice this winter by replacing two popped tires and fixing our alignment. The alignment prices were affordable and fair, and the second time we popped a tire (blame those terrible potholes on Douglas!) it was over the weekend and all places were closed. I contacted one of the owners (Nate) and we left our car overnight at the Vanness location and the tire was fixed first thing in the morning on Monday! Thank you Zolman Tire for your excellent service! read more

I've been to three different Zolman tires and this is by far the best one! Heidi and her team are professional, courteous, and will have you out in a jiffy. read more

This shop rocks! Had an awesome experience here today. I needed to flush my washer fluid as it had frozen and pump has frozen. They were fast, courteous, super kind, and well overall awesome. Thank you all again! read more

Most of the workers are incompetent and the prices are beyond outrageous. The only plus is that I can drop my car off here and walk to work at ND. I really don't understand how this place keeps winning best mechanic service in the south bend tribune poll year after year. read more

My wife and I were on a cross country trip from Seattle to New York, and our check engine light came on. We didn't want to risk something bad happening in the middle of a drive, so we called Zolman on the phone (based on a friend's recommendation). The guy on the phone told us that its probably our gas cap that triggered the check engine light, and that if its not on tight, don't worry about coming in. First off, I've never had a mechanic diagnose a problem over the phone, and try and fix it, without us paying anything. Turns out that wasn't the problem, so we came in anyway, and they said that rather than them charging us $50+ we could go to AutoZone down the street to have them check what the car's computer recorded that triggered the check engine light for FREE. Wait - what? The mechanics want to SAVE US MONEY rather than spend money there? This makes no sense, but we took the advice, went to AutoZone, and found out the check engine issue was not serious. We went back to Zolman to thank them for the recommendation. So, we didn't have any actual service completed here, but the attitude of generous information sharing is unprecedented in my book. I will definitely head back there if I'm ever having car trouble in South Bend. read more

This is a very terrible place. The service is very very bad!! The front desk man is rude!!! Save your life, do not go to this zolman tire. Please go to Discount Tire at grape road, their service is 1000000 times better than this zolman tire. I noticed the review years ago was good. Cannot believe they are the same store. Maybe the owner or manager changed recently. read more

The guys there are great. They only do repairs when necessary and always squeeze you if you are a regular. Highly recommend.
