They rob people by adding on warranty and charging 65$ to put one rim on after we already purchased the rim paid up front waited two weeks for one rim already paid for it then was charged twice for installation...modern day crooks 403$ for two tires and one rim whe the tires itself were 62$ each....never take your car there then to boot had a 9 am appointment after waiting two weeks the rim wasn't coming until 3pm terrible waste of time read more

I always go to the mishawaka location but today I had a screw in my tire so I went to the michigan street south bend location. Markus the manager approached me and has the personality of a suitcase. He looks at my tire and then says I need new lugnuts. I'm like no thanks- my Priority is the tire with the screw in it. Then he states I need new wipers. The wipers were replaced LAST WEEK. He is droning on about the cost of the wipers and I'm like again- no thanks. We go inside and he says the total is on the screen And it will be done by 4:30. It's 2:30 - so I sit down and listen to his tone with other customer- he is friendly and jovial with the male customers. With the female customers he is curt, with an air of irritation and does not explain anything. The other gentleman working is explaining things to all the customers and is smiling and friendly. After 20 years of being a loyal customer I was scammed by them. I made an original appointment to get my tires rotated and balanced. The guy comes out and says we can't rotate your tires there is too much wear on the inside of the rear tires. I said ok then they're covered under the certificate, right? Then the salesman tells me no because my car has bad suspension. My response was it is air suspension and it lowers when the car is off and the compressor isn't running. Long story short he made us buy 2 new tires. Took my car directly to the mechanic only for him to say that nothing was wrong with the suspension or the alignment. Well guess what discount, our relationship is through. I will be taking all 5 of my vehicles somewhere else from now on! read more

Thats 3 hours or more for one tire. Thats ridiculous. Why even do they make you make a appointment if they are still going to make you wait three hours. I made an appointment at Discount Tire in South Bend and when I arrived they were pretty busy. They were helping other customers and assured me they would be with me shortly. Marcus helped me and listened to me ramble on about my car and my tires and how I don't want to spend too much since I'm planning on getting a new vehicle soon. He listened and chimed in with an understanding comment or an inquisitive question. We went back inside and he offered me some options and explained the reasoning behind his suggestions in a clear and knowledgeable way. I told him what I wanted and he gladly obliged. The technician came out shortly and let me know he was bringing my car into the bay. Then just a little while later he came back and gave me my receipts and told me he would bring my car right out front. I left satisfied with the service and the time it took. Sometimes, after getting a service, you leave feeling like you were just swindled. I did not feel this way at all. I'm happy with my purchase and the great service I received. I also noticed a gentleman working at the front named Tony and he gave world class service just like Marcus. :) I haven't had such professional, pleasant service in a very long time and was very surprised. I wish I'd remembered to write this sooner. I'd taken a trip down to Gilmer Park Animal Clinic--further good review coming?--and ended up with a flat tire. Like an idiot, I tried to limp home with it until the tire shredded. THEN I remembered I have AAA. Like a dummy, I smacked my head. Other than waiting for a few minutes for the tow truck, there was no problem with them, either, and the trip to Discount Tire was easy and fast. Discount Tire then took over and put the van up on the hoist immediately. Just a few minutes, it was done, and the cheerful staff even joked about being too fast for me. All I could do was laugh, because I apparently looked astonished at how quickly they'd done it and how well. Forget the competition just down the road! Simple replacement of a valve stem. Was told "we can get you in and out within an hour or hour and a half. 11:20 am it's now 1 hr 45 minutes later and car hasn't gone in yet! I highly recommend an appointment. Staff should give realistic expectations on quoting times. read more

I took my car in for new tires and they tore an electrical wire in the wheel well and didn't bother to tell me. As I was leaving the store I noticed it and called they to explained. I was asked to bring my car back the next day and the store manager told me that it was just a wire from my alarm and blew it off. I called corporate and was told that I would receive a call from the manager which I did twice, I called him back but have not received another call. I will not go back again. read more
