The guys at this place are great. I want to give an extra shout out to Cory (sp?). I showed up with my tire pressure light going off (for the 6th month in a row). Cory took a look at my tires, two of them low. One in such a state that he wouldn't refill it. We got them on the schedule same day to be replaced. Thanks to the program I bought with them when I got the tires (way back when) he told me to replace them would only be $30-ish per tire to replace. What a relief. And he took care of some things too. Once they got it up and got the tires off and looked inside, it was learned that there wasn't truly an issue. They replaced the valve stems and sent me on my way. Every time I come here for a simple flat it's a few hours of waiting. They have had my car since noon ( tow) and my one flat tire was fixed at 7:30 that night. No one answered the phone from 3-? I gave up calling back to see what questions they had and had to get a ride there to see. Took my car there at 10:30am for one tire. I paid and they said it would be done in about an hour. After an hour and a half I asked why my car wasn't done and maybe 4 people just standing around talking instead of getting my tire on my car so i can get out of there. I also had to work at 12 which i let them know at the beginning of my appointment. Didn't make them work any faster. Very disappointed with my service. read more

I give two stars this morning as I ordered my tires online using my debit card. I show up this morning and they ask for my card and ID used to purchase the tires. The tire purchase is already pending in my checking account mind you so it processed on my card. They waste an additional 5 minutes of my day arguing with me and making me look dumb saying I must have used a different card. I call my spouse to see if I had used the wrong debit card, but his card doesn't match either. Yet the manager still says we are just following best practices and you need to have the card you used. I felt that making it my fault was unprofessional, he insinuated I didn't know what I was doing which was false. read more

Great service from the guys up front and General manager who leads and who helped me . Only reason why I didn't give a five is because I was hoping to talk to GM and the guy who is a wannabe (prob basic manager unknown name )wants to roll his eyes because of it while not doing anything all day and clearly has no intention and idea of good customer service . Came in around 2 and stopped by multiple times and wasn't greeted nor appreciated by him ,but the other guys made me satisfied and grateful to take my business to them until around 6. He continued to just walk around and joke and had no customer service skills, not an ideal situation for a business. Been taking my cars there for years and my family has around 10 cars that go in and out through them for tires and wheels. This crew was phenomenal today! After subzero temperatures over the weekend there were very long lines of vehicles to have tire pressures checked/air added as needed. Steve came out and greeted everyone waiting in line to ensure their needs. The team kept cars moving in and out of indoor bays and provided courteous service. Jordan worked on my tires and was so professional and friendly. What a wonderful service to the community they serve! I have purchased tires from them in the past and they were great then, too. I bought 4 new tires about two years ago, HTP, Cooper Tires, P245/65/R17, (on my Aluminum Rims). I paid $212.00 per tire, including, IN Tax. I bought the insurance on each tire, it's well worth it, for the peace of mind. These are great tires for on Ice & Snow! Their quiet tires, too! If you drive the speed limits and use common sence. I've never slid any when I have used my brakes! And I get great Traction in Snow! I use these tires all year, on my Envoy XL. My Envoy is a 4X4, and even when I use my 4X4 it drives right through the snow. Though I don't go Off Roading with my Envoy XL, Like I did with my CJ-5,304 V-8, AMC, 4X4. I was able to buy my New Cooper Tires and Have them Spin Balanced. And Wire Brushed the Rims and Mounted, in a reasonable amount of time. Though I must Warn You They do have one or two sales persons who are lazy, and claim you have to get a appointment first, which is not the case. You just need to find the right sales person wanting to make a sale! Granted you will have to wait for your turn. I only had to wait between a half hour to 1 hour. That's because their almost always busy, but there are times their not that busy. Just read their Reviews, on Yelp. I've been going to Tire Discount for many years now, Their the Best! read more

Needed my tire patched after finding a nail in it. Called and spoke to Braxton the Assistant Manager and was told business was coming in waves but they could help me out without an appointment. Drove straight there and was helped super fast! Took about an hour as they got a bit busy in the time it took me to get there. Work was done very well and they did it for free! Absolute surprise to not be charged and was very very appreciated especially in this economy! Would recommend them 100% of the time. Everyone was so friendly and polite. Why can't DT make it quicker and easier for ease of doing business? It irks me that they encourage appointments but make no attempt to expedite the check in/out process. For those who are complainers, Discount Tire takes in a lot of customers in a day's time, and overall they do an excellent job of getting people taken care of. If your time is so important that you can't put up with a delay on getting your car finished, how about waiting a bit longer before going back in and picking it up. I did that last time, and as it turned out, some jobs were necessary to move ahead of mine, and they did appreciate my working with them. In fact, I'm taking my car in there tomorrow and I will call them first before coming to pick it up-why not? I have had them supply my tires for years and have not been disappointed. You get what you pay for, and I find that they are honest about how "good" of a tire I need to spend my money on. And don't forget, it's first come, first served basis, with modifications sometimes necessary. read more

Honestly, the worst discount tire experience to date. Why does the Mishawaka location have the WORST employees? I brought my SUV there yesterday to have my tire patched since there was a nail in it and it was losing air. They automatically started talking about getting me 4 new tires which I was not interested in. My car has less than 15,000 miles on it and the tires are in great condition. "If you get new tires I'll give you the best price in the area." (Which is in fact a lie ) They called me shortly and said my tire was unrepairable due to damage on the inside of the tire. I asked them if they could just air the tire up for me so I could take it home and they said of course. I get there and am still trying to have all new tires sold to me and I said I was not interested as my husband was out of town. I noticed my tire was not filled up, so they told me to pull up to the bay and they will air it up. I pull up and I'm just waiting for about 5 minutes while someone is just looking at my tire. Another guy runs out and has a quote for tires...again. I told him again I'm not buying tires today and then all of the sudden they refuse to put air in my tire. I asked them why the guy quickly made up an excuse saying since I drove on it flat there are burns on the tire. I reminded him that when I got here (from right down the street) that I had over 20psi in my tire and did not drive on it flat. Long story a little bit shorter, they were absolutely rude and disrespectful and my husband and I have taken our cars to discount tire for YEARS and never received customer service like this. After refusing to put air in my tire, I used my compressor and put air in it and then drove in to tire rack where they assessed the car and told me a completely different story with my tire and actually showed me where the nail was and explained everything to me. My husband and I will not longer be going to discount or referring friends and family there. Do better. read more

4-6-18 I am officially done with Discount Tires. Once I need new tires I will be going somewhere else. I can't deal with people that are rude, lie to you and talk over you when you are trying to talk. I will continue to spread the word about this location. I was informed that Tire Rack does not have the rims and they are now on back order. If DT would of done this over a month ago and ordered them from Tire Rack them I would have my new rims. When I called to talk to DT today they had no idea on the rims I wanted so my question is did they really order my rims. This place is so unorganized and clueless on how to take care of there customers. 4-1-18 I ended up calling the Arizona office to get transferred to the corporate office in Indiana. I did this as I never received a call back from the Indiana Corporate Office. I talked to a Man named Mark. I told him the complaint on my rims and other problems I've had there in the past. Long story short the Mishawaka location is suppose to contact Tire Rack for my rims so I don't have to wait up to 90 days for DT to get them from there supplier who has no stock of my replacement rims. I guess this is a step forward but look what I had to do to get there. I will update my review and stars as time goes on. 3-19/20-18 I contacted the Corporate Office in Indiana for the local Discount Tires I'm having to deal with. I was told I would receive a call back when the guy got out of his meeting. Evidentially it must be a really long meeting as I never received a phone call back as of 3-22-18. I guess this is the mentality that I should expect when I deal with Discount Tires going forward. On Going review on My Rims (Below) I use to love discount tires but the attention to detail has drastically diminished over the years. They don't pay attention to the work they are doing. I recently put my summer car back on the road. I had my tires rotated and balanced. The next day I notice one of my small caps fell off the rims and they chipped and scratched the crap out of my rims. They agreed to buy me a new set of 4 rims but unfortunately my old set of rims that I really liked are no longer made. I now have two covers that have fallen off. Discount refuses to buy the covers since they are buying me rims that they messed up. Discount Tires does stand behind there work but why not pay attention to detail and get things fixed the first time around. Every time I have to come here for there screw up I have to wait hours to get a repair. They are getting me a new set of rims. The ones they picked out to replace mine I cancelled. With the help of TIRE RACK they found a set of rims to my liking. My next set of tires and rims may come from them as the lack of support from the local Discount Tires is next to nothing. TIRE RACK has the rims I want but Discount Tires won't get the rims from them. I'm told they are on back order from there supplier and I will have to wait 1-3 months. They messed up my rims and you should make it right for the customer. Why should I have to wait up to 3 months for rims when TIRE RACK has then in stock. In the old days I use to recommend Discount Tires going forward I will tell people to steer clear of them. read more

Man, I had nothing but trouble experiences from this place. 1) My "brand new" tires only lasted one year. Yes, I did keep up maintenance with them, but NOT at discount on Grape Rd. 2) Their "free tire rotations" guarantee is a lie. They refused to help me everytime I went in. That's why I had to go elsewhere. I also decided to buy elsewhere when I bought new tires this year. I wasn't going through that again. 3) Also, because they refused to acknowledge the 2 year warranty on my tires that should have replaced them. It's not just that their tires don't last, they refuse to help you, and refuse the warranty, they also treat you terribly. I scheduled an appointment each time and they made me wait over an hour from my appointment time and helped walk-in people first! Only to then tell me they WON'T HELP me. Went in for a rotation. Was told my tires were at a 1-3 depending on where in the tire and that they wouldn't touch them bc it was a liability on them. They started talking new tires immediately. I got a quote and left. Get new tires elsewhere and they told us my tires were a generous 3 everywhere and that we didn't really need to rush into brand new tires. That the employee was trying to meet a quotA or a commission. So proceed with caution, get a second opinion, and watch every measurement they take so you don't get taken advantage of. read more

I've been a customer for a long time, my best service has been your store on 33 south of Elkhart. I had a tire split (less than a year old) I am located much closer to your grape road store. So here I am, they seem understaffed, Carrington was great when I stopped in friday. The customer service I received today from the guys at the desk was less than welcoming. I also have a 3p appointment and was told it would be about an hour for them to get to my vehicle. That's unacceptable. Your Elkhart location won my business back from Bell tire, but your Mishawaka location is about to loose it again. I'd rather pay more versus getting treated as just a number. Thank you Steve, when it comes to customer service, you conduct yourself in a way that is every thing I expect and more. Two incidents had occurred at this particular location that had me thinking I will not be going back to discount tire for any more service. The first time I had some wheels changed out that were scraped up by former employees. The second time I ordered a tire that I waited three weeks for only to find out the tire was discontinued. I felt shafted and jerked around like my business didn't matter. I expect to be treated like my business does matter, but OFTEN times people fall short of that. That is NOT the case with Steve, he is professional, courteous, and genuinely cares about resolving customer problems that arise. I don't often write reviews but when someone works hard and is good at what they do, they should be recognized for their effort.
